“Watch your back Sonic!” The blue hedgehog gave a look behind him too the pink hedgehog crushing a robot that tried to attack him.
“Thanks ams!” Sonic gave a quick salute to the girl.
“You gotta be more careful if you want to get to eggman Sonic!” A fox, who was flying above them, yelled down.
Sonic smiled at the fox above him as he ran up farther up into the battle.
Luckily two other Hedgehogs, a bat, a robot, an echidna, and a chameleon have already cleared out a way.
“Finally desired to arrive now Sonic, letting us have all the fun for once I see.” The bat rested her hands on her hips as she looked at the new group.
“THERE IS A PROBABILITY THAT WE BEAT THEM IN A FASTER TIME.” Omega looked at Sonic who quickly gave a dumbfounded look.
“Nuh uh! No way yall could never beat MY record!”
“I think we did.” Shadow looked at his reflection in the green emerald in his hand. “Found this too.”
“You still won't let me hold it..” Rouge frowned.
“Because you'd steal it.” Knuckles rolled his eyes.
“Mmm probablyyyyyy.~”
“Oh yeah I did! I was in one of the bots!” Silver bounced up. “Uh sorry Omega, I don't know if, uh, killing robots hurts you.”
“YOU SHOULD BRAKE THEM IN FRONT OF ME MORE OFTEN.”
“...noted.”
“You know, that power-”
“I don't feel like stealing the master emerald Rouge.” Silver shrugged. “Kidnapping chao with Espio is probably enough crime for one lifetime.”
“Can't blame a girl for trying.”
“Back to the chase,” Espio rested his hand on Silver's shoulder, checking their body for any injuries not so subtly. “Eggman is just ahead, if you go super it should be easy.”
“Got it! Thanks Detective!” Sonic ran ahead, taking the emerald out of Shadow's hand. “Annnnddd Thanks shades!”
“A please would be nice, you know.”
The bicking got quiet as the ground left ahead, Espio staying next to the unmoving Silver.
“You're worried.”
Silver took a deep breath. “I just suddenly got a bad feeling y'know?” They shook their head before giving a smile to Espio, putting their hand on top of his. “Stay safe, ok?”
“You too.” Espio nodded, giving a small smile before they both ran ahead.

“We got you now Eggman! Now let's do this the easy way and surrender!”
Laughter escaped the brand new mecha ahead of them. “And let YOU win? HA! You're quite the jokester. Why don't you just stop me then?”
“Oh you really are just asking for it now!”
“Wait son-”
Before Sonic could hear Tails he was already getting himself changed up with the seven emeralds.
“Sonic don't I don't have a-”
Sonic hits the mecha with the full force of the chaos emeralds as Silver watches the machine glow from the power.
“It absorbed it-!” Shadow stepped back as it just got brighter.
“Quickly! Let's get out of here!” Amy started to run as the mecha started to explode.
“SONIC!” Tails flew closer to the reach for the hedgehog consumed by the glow.
“TAILS YOU CAN'T!” Knuckles quickly ran to pull the Tails to safety.
Silver watched as it felt like the world slowed around them.
Espio reached to pull Silver out, Silver pushed him away.
“SHADOW!” Was the last thing they heard from Rouge as the explosion went off.
Buzzing was all Rouge could hear, vision was doubled before she blinked it away, looking at the remnants left by the explosion.
But no one other than her, Omega, and Espio was left.
No chaos emeralds.
No robots.
Nothing showing the friends that were once there.
“Silver..!” Was the first thing that Rouge actually heard other than ringing. Espio struggled to stand up, walking to where silver was standing. “Where did they…”
“MY INDICATORS SENSE NO SIGN OF THEM.”
“But they were right there, Omega!” Rouge pointed at the middle of the cave. “Did they all just die then?”
“I ALSO INDICATED NO ONE DIED.”
“So you're saying they… disappeared?” Worry was definitely on the Chameleon's face but neither of team dark could see it.
“Looks like it…let's regroup.” Rouge stood up as she brushed herself off, six people just appearing and going POOF! Just like that? It was so confusing.
“Can I suggest the Chaotix's agency?”
“Actually, more detective help will be greatly appreciated.”

Silver head spun as they looked up into the unfamiliar sky.
“...104..?”
