Okay i will be charitable and assume that there has been an unfortunate record loss underground or perhaps a complication of that horrifying fur sludge or some similar variety of incident
Rather than making the more obvious conclusion that you have all become a bunch of squids rather ironically
Either way i am not a scout i have not been a scout for a long time and i abandoned that codforsaken shack many years ago
I dont even know if i could find it anymore
I havent had occasion to visit ive been rather busy not doing that
Now is that all or are there further fun adventures in ignorance planned going forward

Welcome. This is a new story, in which I have created a new means for narrative indirection. I've already got most of it written, in addition to the immediate follow-up, and I'll be putting the chapters out twice a week. Hopefully you find it enjoyable; If you're confused, I'd recommend keeping in mind the ending of Astrid's Dev Diaries, and I'll leave notes regarding the characters who appear here.

Speaking of which, Karyan Moriah is one of the characters from Krysta's Shitty Friends, the inexplicably canon Homestuck crossover fic in which I generalized the concept of Krysta Sontev. She's a vampire squid who worked as an Octarian scout and therefore lived on the surface, away from the others, exposed to sunlight an unusual amount. She was always one of my favorites, since I got to build out vampire squids. They're more closely related to octopi than squids, you know. They can create bursts of light.
