Work Text:
When Buck and Christopher came toward the living, they didn’t expect to see the table filled with plates and food, and the TV was on.
“What’s going on?” Buck asked.
“It’s for you, us, as a family.” Eddie replied.
“Ah… oh…” Buck said and then he smiled. He certainly didn’t expect it.
“I thought we could enjoy a movie night and snacks…” Eddie said.
Christopher hugged his dad. “It has been a while since we did that.”
“I’ve got the movie ready,” Eddie said, watching with glee as his omega and his son sitting on the sofa, huddling under a blanket he prepared.
Eddie puts the movie and started it as he walked toward the sofa and huddle next to his mate and his son.
In the middle of the movie, Eddie noticed as Buck kept staring toward the kitchen, and Eddie figured out what’s wrong, since Buck was stuck in the middle.
Eddie paused the movie, stood, and collected the empty plates.
“Alpha, I can do that. You already did so much for us,” Buck said.
“And I will do even more. I’m the alpha, and besides, let me do that, because sometimes resting and doing nothing is what you need, my dear Buck.” Eddie said.
Buck could feel his cheeks flushed and wondered if it’s from the huddling or from his alpha’s words and actions.
When Eddie returned, his heart melted seeing his son and his omega giggling and whispering to each other.
Eddie placed the beverage and the plates of foods in two rounds to the kitchen. He loves to take care of his family.
They meant the world for him.
