The Swell of Sea and Song

Summary:

Once again, Agloval and Sh'eenaz are on their rock together. But Agloval seems troubled.

Notes:

A drabble and a half for the Fluffbruary prompts 25 "swell" and "question". This is a sequel to A Siren's Song. Enjoy!

Work Text:

Deeply entangled in each other, warm and happy, they are lying on the rock again, the light swell of the ocean lapping at its sides, the soft melody of the sea. Seagulls are circling the deep blue, cloudless sky.

"What will we do when the weather turns and becomes cold and rainy and dark?" Agloval asks, suddenly thinking of the future. "We can't be together like this when the summer is gone. Will you marry me, Sh'eenaz, and live by my side in the palace?"

She smiles at him, the most lovely smile, not understanding a single word but her name. His eyes seem troubled. Taking his face in her hands, she kisses all his troubles away.

When he leaves, he can hear the soft swell of her beautiful siren's voice above the sounds of the waves. A song just for him. How he wishes it could forever be summer.
