Chapter Text
It was a lovely spring day, with the sun high in the sky, a warm breeze moving the branches on a dogwood tree. Wildflowers were blooming all over Aziraphale and Crowley's backyard.
Aziraphale steps outside their shared home to look for Crowley. He had said he was going to take a nap, but he couldn't find him in any of his usual sleeping spots. As a last resort, Aziraphale decided to look outside. It was a beautiful day, after all; sleeping outside wouldn't be a crazy thing to do.
He spots Crowley splayed out on the grass, in the middle of a patch of flowering weeds. Crowley often complained about the weeds covering their backyard, but Aziraphale loved them. They didn't look invasive, even though they most definitely were. They were pretty and he liked the color!
Crowley surely wasn't complaining about the weeds now, considering he's using them as a mattress. Aziraphale approaches him as quietly as possible. He has no other plans for the day, so what the hell? Aziraphale kneels on the ground then lies next to Crowley, tucking his head under Crowley's chin as gently as he can, lest he startle the demon.
Crowley hums slightly in his sleep, automatically wrapping his arms around the angel and moving their heads together.
Aziraphale normally never sleeps, but it's warm, cozy, and he's surrounded by the being he loves.
Slowly, he drifts off to sleep.
