Work Text:

The door to their berthroom closed with barely a noise, cutting off the faint glow of the nightlight they kept in the main part of their living quarters. Pharma looked up from the datapad he’d been focusing on, smiling at the other when he let himself fall faceplate first onto their berth, landing next to the jet leaned up against the headboard. “Are you alright? Any emergencies during your shift?” He knew that wasn’t the case, as any real emergency would’ve been reported to him immediately. Pharma sat up, put the pad on the nightstand and gently patted the other’s helm resting close to his knee, chuckling softly when all he received was a noncommittal grunt. “You should at least get up here so that I can hold you, darling, I missed you.”

His admission was quiet and comforting in its simplicity, reassuring in its honesty and firmness. Ambulon dragged himself further towards the head of the berth, propping himself up on his arms to press his helm against the other’s chassis, nose ridge smushed against golden glass and audial resting close enough to the jet’s spark to hear it hum. He offlined his optics and invented deeply. Pharma ran his digits over the former decepticon’s helm and cupped his cheek gently, bowing down as well as guiding the other up at the same time, to press their chefrons together.

They kept hugging, frames intertwined and lost in the comfort of knowing their sparkmate close. Pharma kept stroking the other’s faceplate intermittently, mapping out the details he knew so well. It didn’t take long for Ambulon to be on the cusp of recharge, his movement sluggish and sparkrate an even, calm rhythm.

The doctor placed a small peck on the other’s olfactory ridge before pressing his helm to his chassis, embracing him and reaching past his frame to pick up the datapad again for some last klik organisational tasks and checking in on First Aid. After receiving a satisfactory answer, knowing Delphi to be running as smoothly as it could, he powered the pad down for good. His struts ached, processor running scattered programs from not having gotten enough defrag time during his allotted recharge slot. He curled himself around the smaller bot in his arms. His wings flicked lazily until they found a comfortable position and he let himself drift off, too.

Notes:

This is my sole entry for Pharma Week, as I sadly don't have enough time to create something for each of the days.
I hope you enjoyed it!
