Work Text:
The day his parents died Porsche had become a mother.
He was ten years old and Chay was barely entering toddlerhood.
He had watched his mother take care of Chay and he helped out as often as he could but now it was no longer helping out. Now he had to step up because Arthee had no idea how to take care of a baby.
He didn't know how to swaddle, he didn't know how to burp the baby, how to hold him when he had to sleep and how to hold him when he had to eat. Arthee didn't know any of that and so it was left entirely to Porsche.
Porsche, who at the news of his parents deaths had presented as an Omega. It came as a surprise because Porsche had always been headstrong, stubborn and a fighter. He had a protective streak like no other and he was the first to end a fight before it begun. They thought he'd take after his Alpha mother and not his Omega father.
Arthee had been disappointed but there was nothing he could do.
Arthee went to work and gambled on the side, this was before it became a problem but even then someone should have seen it coming. Porsche went to school after dropping Chay off at daycare and during his break Porsche would be allowed to go over and look after Chay before he had to go back to school. After school you'd find Porsche with a toddler on his hip, his bag slung over his shoulder and a bag of groceries in hand walking home because Arthee didn't like driving so far out.
Porsche had to learn how to cook more than just eggs and heat up canned soup because Arthee had no idea on how to cook and Chay was starting on solids soon.
Porsche had been the one who weened Chay off the bottle and the dummy. He made sure Chay ate his vegetables and made sure to keep up with Chay's pediatrician because if it was left up to Arthee it would either never get done or Porsche would have to stop an actual disaster from happening.
Some people praised him for raising his brother with such care and others pulled their noses up at him before muttering that he should stop playing grown up. He didn't listen to any of them because he had work to do.
As Chay grew the number of pups in the house did too.
Porsche didn't make many friends because not many people his age understood that Chay would always come first. Porsche didn't go out, he didn't date, he barely had time for himself and now he had to have time for other people?
Please, he was busy with Chay and that would never change.
Now that Chay was out of diapers and starting secondary he wanted to make friends and Porsche, the fifteen year old now, had to learn how to work with adults. Some parents gave him pitying looks before they slowly made sure their children stopped playing with Chay but there where those that stayed.
Some mothers looked at them and understood. They didn't treat Chay like he was a pest and they didn't treat Porsche like he was a kid because anyone who's had to raise thier baby brother couldn't be considered a kid.
Porsche learned more from them than he could from school.
Like how to get grass stains out of Chay's white clothes, how to mend shirts and make them look brand new, how to stretch out meals, how to buy food without feeling like you have to take out a loan. Porsche was treated like the adult he was made to be.
All this while Arthee was accumulating debt left, right and center. They didn't know up until sixteen year old Porsche came face to face with a debt collector in the middle of the night on his way downstairs to get Chay water.
Nobody really knows what happened that night but they do know that Porsche had reacted out of fear and the mans head had been cracked open on the floor after Porsche had pushed him off of him. Scratch marks on his upper arm, a busted lip, a bruised forearm and a ripped shirt were the extent of his injuries but people could only speculate how far the man went because Porsche had never told anyone what had happened that night and he never would.
Arthee came clean the next day and Porsche had never cried so hard in his life. Not from anger, not from sadness and not from pain but rather exhaustion. He was so tired of playing the adult, of being so responsible for everyone and everything and now Arthee brings this to them? Now he brings danger in the form of gangs to his home?
He had asked one of the moms to please look after Chay for a day or two, she insisted he stay with her for a full month so that Porsche didn't have to stress too much, just so that he could figure out what to do.
Porsche had kicked Arthee out. The man had put Chay in danger and so he had no place in their lives. He never would again. He had also decided to get a job. It was needed now that he might have to fend for himself and Chay because they did have an inheritance but Porsche would have to be eighteen to get access to it. Luckily his parents made sure no one else could get access to it in the events that they died.
Porsche had gone to a local bar owner, Yok and he was made a dishwasher. He also went to two other places, the local supermarket and one of the restaurants in the area. He was allowed to work there as well.
Three jobs and school.
He could do that, he had to do it for Chay.
He came home dead tired more times than he could count. He could barely move his limbs half the time and he had headaches more often every time even a fraction of light was present in a dark room. It didn't stop him though. He had to keep it up and scrounge together enough money for emergencies.
The moms were a major help in all of this and if it weren't for them he'd have fallen over from stress. Although most nights he's found himself melting into whatever surface he was lying down on but sleep was never calm or welcome because his mind always raced with what else there was to take care of.
As soon as Porsche graduated he had decided to work at the bar full time. The restaurant and convenience store paid well but the bar paid better and not to mention he made more tips there than he did anywhere else. It also helped that his hours were flexible enough for him to make sure he could still look after Chay.
During the week he'd work mornings through evenings. That way he could drop Chay off at school and pick him up and take him home. During the weekend he'd work evenings to night, that way he could spend time with Chay during the morning and still be able to tuck him in at night.
Porsche had been made a parent the day his own died and sometimes when he was alone with his own thoughts he'd think back on everything that had happened and he couldn't help but mourn the childhood he had lost. Couldn't help but wonder what could have been every time he passed a group of kids, giggling, screaming in glee and running around while telling thier friends to run faster. Couldn't help but wonder what could have been every time he sees a group of teenagers talking at a cafe. He couldn't help but wonder what could have been different.
He didn't dwell on it long because he had things to do and so being alone with his own thought didn't happen a lot. It also didn't help with anything so dwelling on it was pointless.
His main priority was making sure Chay got through school and that he would go to a good university. Just so that he'd never have to live the life Porsche had to.
So that he wouldn't feel the crushing feeling of expectations being pushed down his throat because if he didn't do it who else would?
Something truly stupid occurred when Porsche was twenty five.
He had been working at the bar, it was the weekend and he was set to just finish his shift with as little problem's as possible. As he had done a thousand shifts before and will continue to do.
Then trouble walked in like it owned the place. Fancy suit, expensive watch, even more expensive shoes and an air of superiority to him that left no room for argument lest death was your best friend.
Kinn Anakin Theerapanyakun was known and not because he was nice.
He was a playboy. A heartbreaker and he was notorious for taking whatever he wanted.
When he had walked into Hum Bar he had set his sights on Porsche the moment he saw the Omega behind the bar. The Omega who smiled politely and asked for his drink order without the usual level of flirting.
Porsche doesn't know whether it be fate or bad luck but this particular night Chay was staying over at a friends place to finish a school project and so Porsche wouldn't rush to get home. He wasn't in a hurry and so he had let his guard down just a little.
Kinn had chatted him up. Had flirted with him. He got him out of the bar and right to a hotel room.
This wasn't Porsche's first time, he'd be stupid to do it this way. However, it was the first time he'd spent an entire night with an Alpha where he was worn out.
He's not a busy body in that sense he just has a libido that never rests and as such he's never been able to keep partners for long because they felt emasculated at not being able to keep up with him. They wanted to sleep after the third round and he was left unsatisfied.
The next morning Porsche was sore but also satisfied in a way he had never been before.
Kinn was still dead asleep next to him and that made it easier for Porsche to sneak out of the hotel room.
He had gotten dressed and just slipped out before making his way to the drug store to get the morning after pill.
He should have knows that with his luck nothing ever worked out.
It took Porsche a full month after that to realize something was wrong with him. He had been feeling nauseous, fatigued and worst of all was the random need to just start hugging and holding Chay was getting to him. Chay didn't mind but Porsche was freaking out because he had no idea on what was going on.
So he went to the doctor and after his blood was run Porsche had been told those little words that made his heart drop, his face fall and all the blood drain from his face.
"You are pregnant."
Porsche had been catatonic for two days. Everything was on autopilot and it was on the third day when he sat down with paper and a calculator.
He had calculated everything.
Every expense. Every bag of diapers, every bit of formula, baby clothes, baby toy's, baby clothes. Doctors appointments, school fee's, unforeseen medical expenses. He had calculated how it would look in the long run and he just didn't have enough money or resources to support himself, Chay and a newborn who would require constant around the clock care.
He was pinching pennies where he could right now, and sometimes he'd skip a meal of two just to make sure Chay ate enough because he was still growing and Porsche didn't need all that much to survive. He's never really needed much.
So with a heavy heart and being as stone faced as he could he called the clinic and made an appointment.
He made a promise to himself to allow himself to breakdown fully the day he said goodbye to the little life he would always mourn.
He had decided to walk there because he wanted to clear his head and it was odd as he walked because he was so deep in his own thoughts his own sorrows that he wasn't paying attention to what was going on around him.
One moment he was walking and the next a bag was thrown over his head and he was being put, not thrown, put in a van.
He struggled but a cloth was put over his mouth and everything went black after that.
When he woke up he was on a bed in a room he didn't know and he had no idea what was going on.
The door that was on his left opened and in stepped Kinn and he looked murderous as he walked towards the chair that was conveniently placed in front of the bed.
Porsche did the reasonable thing and pushed himself up against the headboard.
Kinn sat down and he leveled Porsche with a look.
The murderous look he had earlier was gone and instead replaced with stormy eyes and pinched brows. He was angry.
"You were going to kill my baby." He starts and Porsche's heart stops completely.
What do you say to that? What do you answer back? How do you answer back? How do you put into words what you felt in that moment?
"You were going to kill my baby and not look back. Like it was the easiest thing-"
Porsche started bawling and not in the begging for your life tears but in the emotions are hitting him full force and this was the only way he could express them. He's never been emotional, he's never had the time to just sit and cry because there wasn't time. It was always something to do for the house, always Chay needing him and work being demanding. Now the once decision he's made for himself, the one he never wanted to make in the first place, was being laid out in front of him like he had sinned.
"Why are you crying? Didn't you want to do it? Are you only crying because you got caught?" Kinn asked and the anger was there, the sharp edge was there.
"I didn't- I didn't-" He couldn't get the words out. Not with the way his throat felt tight and his chest felt heavy. All the words he's kept inside wanted to spill out but it was like the cage he kept them in was slowly giving way rather than all at once.
"Didn't want what? Didn't want a baby? Didn't think how I'd feel? What didn't you huh?!"
"I didn't want- want the baby to be stuck." He cried. He tried getting them to stop. Tried getting them under control because this felt wrong. This felt out of place. His entire body felt tight in that uncomfortable way it always did after he worked back to back at Yok's.
"Huh?" Kinn asked as he was caught off guard by the response.
"Babies are expensive and a lot of work and I'm barely making enough to help me what am I going to do when I have to cut back on more meals and start working more? I didn't want to but the baby would be better off then stuck in the situation they would have been born into." Porsche cried as he brought his knees up to his chest and hugged them tight because right now he felt so small and vulnerable and for the first time in his life he just really wanted his mom. He really wanted her to tell him everything would be okay and that he'd be safe. He wanted his dad. He wanted his dad to make him hot chocolate and tell him to calm down while he cried it out onto his dad's shoulder.
"Why not come to me? Why not just find me?" Kinn asked because it wasn't like Porsche didn't know who he was. Everyone knew who he was and on the night Kinn took him to that hotel Porsche had decided to flirt with danger just for a little.
"Oh yes. How original. An Omega with a poor background showing up at the Theerapanyakun doorstep claiming to be pregnant with the child of one of the Theerapanyakun's. That would have gone over well with everyone." Porsche said as he wiped his tears on his sleave.
" So killing was the only option for you?" Kinn asked.
"I live in a two bedroom house by the grace of my parents actually owning the deed and it transferred to me after their death. I have to work at a bar to make sure I have enough money to buy groceries. I only work at a bar because no one else would pay me what I make now without a diploma from a university. I have to put my little brother through school and university one day because he won't end up like me. I have to pinch where I can and cut meals without him finding out. I know how to raise a baby, I know how to love and care for one but that's only half of it the other half is bills that never end. Pediatricians, hospital bills, medicine which doesn't include vitamins, vitamins, clothes, baby food, bottles, dummies, toys and it doesn't stop. You just trade in one bill for another. School fee's, extra curriculars, school trips, school events, school supplies. And that's just what they need. You can't plan when they get hurt or sick or when they need to have procedures or emergency surgery done and all of that just piles on top of one another. So yes. I would rather let my baby die than have to kill myself to raise them!" Porsche said as he just kept bawling because no one understood.
No one ever did. He could explain it a thousand times over and they still wouldn't get it because they weren't there. They weren't that scared little kid having to learn how to pay the bills because any money that went to Arthee went right to the machines. They weren't breaking their backs to just figure out how to make sure he ate enough without Chay noticing he was getting the bigger plate because Chay was growing. They weren't there when he was going over the pile of bills he had and trying to figure out which was more important. They weren't there when he started feeling like the whole world was closing in on him from all sides.
He felt Kinn's eyes on him and he felt the way he was looking at him. He knew what that look felt like. The sadness always directed at him by people who would look remorseful but never offer any help because it wasn't their place. He hated that look. Hated people treating him like he was made of glass one minute and than acting like he was a pillar of stone the next.
Kinn didn't say anything, he just watched as Porsche unraveled at the seams in front of him. Watched as Porsche trembled and shook as if he was physically in pain and he hesitated only a second before he stood up and walked closer to Porsche. Slowly at first as if he were approaching a wounded animal. He sat down on the bed and felt a little unsure now that he was next to Porsche.
He had come in here fully expecting the Omega he had, had his eye on to be one of those planted by his enemies because everyone knew his type. It would be a blow to both his ego and his empire if it came out that he had slept with a plant and also gotten them pregnant and they had aborted the child.
He'd come in here expecting a liar. Just another Omega ready to do whatever it took to take even an ounce of power for themselves. He had expected begging. Expected pleading and leverage but what he found was honesty and that made him so uncomfortable he wanted to crawl out of his skin because he finally looked at him. He looked not at the Omega he slept with but the man who sat before him. The dark circles, the sneakers that looked well taken care of but worn out, the too big jacket and the jeans that had been patched so many times you wonder how it ever survived.
He came expecting the worst. Expecting the cruel he had seen so many times before.
What he didn't expect was an Omega with the pressure of the world on his plate.
Porsche felt an arm wrap around him and he just cried harder.
Kinn just held him tighter and let out his scent to calm him down.
One thing out of the way so this next part might be easier.
Porsche was pregnant with his child.
By tradition he has to marry the Omega. He has to honour Porsche and look after both him and his unborn child. Give them only the best life possible.
Now this was easier said than done because the moment Kinn brought it up Porsche had lost it on him.
"I'm not some fucking charity case!"
It took Kinn an hour just to convince Porsche he wasn't a charity case and another to convince the Omega to just move in with him because even if it felt like trying to negotiate with a terrorist, Kinn found himself very much amused by the entire thing. Sweet Porsche with his pretty eyes and handsome face and hot body was a challenge for him in the way he'd never thought of.
Porsche had money troubles, not enough to be in the red but enough to know that he was standing on the edge, but he'd never ask for handouts and the most anyone could do was pay for his groceries but even then Porsche made sure to pay them back somehow because he didn't like owing anyone anything.
Porsche moving in to the Theerapanyakun mansion was like brining new color to a very dark painting.
Thankhun took to the Omega with a vigor he's never seen before and his head bodyguards were very much enamored with the Omega and his stubbornness.
Kinn thought that his father might be a problem but Korn had been so happy at the idea of a grandchild he had started planning a nursery layout on his side of the mansion because the little one would need to spend a lot of time with his grandfather.
So far Porsche had charmed everyone. Even with his reluctance to go anywhere without Kinn because everything felt so weird.
The house felt too big, the clothes too nice, the food too much and too expensive and he felt a pit form in his stomach every time he looked at whatever the Theerapanyakun's bought the baby.
There was also Chay. Chay who was so awestruck about everything around him but hesitant in a way to puzzled people. Every move made was met with Chay seeking acceptance from Porsche in some way. Asking permission, wondering if it was safe.
Chay had moved in the day Porsche did because the two of them were a package deal.
Kinn had tasked Big to take the boy to and from school because Porchay was the most important person in Porsche's life so he had to be treated like he was important here as well.
The only people who haven't met Porsche and Chay were the minor family, he'd like to keep it that way, and Kim because his little brother refused to come home.
This was also a point of distrust for Porsche. Porsche had been so used to having his baby brother constantly under his wing that the mere thought of Chay wanting to leave him behind for good twisted his stomach in a way that he hated.
The day Porsche met the minor family he had made an impression on Vegas that would last over an eternity.
The day had started off normal. The heads and heirs of the family were set to meet so they could go over business as they usually did. As always it was a tense affair with one side always trying to undermine the other in a deadly game of wits that could turn volatile if they didn't tread with caution as well.
Macau had tagged along, as he often dd. However he had never been privy to the dealings of the family because Vegas proffered to keep him out of it entirely. As such he was messing with Thankhun's fish when some of the new recruits decided to play big. They always dd when the Minor family came by because the families rivalry blead through into the people who were employed by them. Men meant to protect the Theerapanyakun clan separated themselves into factions and they looked down on each other and thier ways.
Porsche doesn't know why he went looking for Kinn. He's gotten good at navigating the house on his own and he was confident in every step he took whenever he did but today brought forth a feeling he couldn't quite explain but it was a feeling he knew well. In short today something felt wrong.
Not with him. He was perfectly fine but rather something was off. Something in him was screaming that something was wrong and his instincts had never been wrong before so why wouldn't he listen to them now?
When he neared the room Kinn was in Porsche made out two things that made his heart stop and his pace quicken.
One was the scent of a pup who was in distress. Never a good sign especially in a house with a family like this. The second was blood and not a little bit of blood like the type you'd get from a scrape but rather a gaping wound. He's had to rush Chay to the hospital enough times after he fell to know the difference between a little and a lot of blood.
He rushed down the hall, as fast as he could go without getting dizzy as eleven weeks was a bitch on his energy, and he threw open the doors to the office they were using for the day.
Kinn had a gun out, another person had his gun out and all the bodyguards in the room were tense. Gearing up for a fight no doubt and wasn't that concerning.
Porsche did not focus on any of that for longer than a second. Rather he focused on the kid, who looked no older than Chay, and his still bleeding head. He had tears in his eyes and he looked almost weak on his feat as he lightly swayed from side to side but he tried steadying himself against the chair that was right next to him.
"Porsche what-"
"Lower your weapons." Were the first words out of his mouth.
"What-"
"There is an injured pup and you two are pointing guns at each other. Lower your weapons or I am taking both of you by the balls and I will use them to swing you around the room and I won't let go until they get twisted off and you go flying!" The Omega bellowed and everyone looked a little uncertain at what to do. Only Kinn and Vegas had thier guns drawn so the threat was obviously directed at them but the minor families bodyguards couldn't help but feel a shift in the air as the Omega talked and threatened without a care in the world.
Kinn lowered his gun first with little to no hesitation and Vegas followed as soon as he saw Kinn's drawing hand hang by his side.. He still lowered it with a bout of uncertainty but he followed nonetheless. Either he was naive to the rising tension in the room or he just didn't care, Porsche with the confidence or a war general made his way towards the injured pup.
Macau felt gentle hands cradle his face and lift his head to get a better look at the wound on his head. When Porsche couldn't make out where the blood was coming from he lightly pushed Macau's hair out of the way and dabbed his sleave against his head to help clean up most of the blood. The white shirt stained so easily and so fast.
"Where did you fall?" Porsche asked gently as he looked at Macau with gentle eyes. The most gentle eyes Macau had ever received from anyone in the main house
"By the fish pond." He answered honestly.
"Who pushed you?" He asked because he's been to the pond. He knows of the different ways kid's can fall, he's had to help Chay get up after a few himself, but he also knows how to tell between a fall and a push.
"What?" Macau asked with wide eyes.
"You're soaking wet, speaking of will one of you get him dry clothes before he gets sick? You are soaking wet that means you were pushed into the pond, had you fallen in your sleaves would be wet and your hands and knees would be scuffed or bleeding. However, only your hands are scuffed but on your lower palm and you are still dripping water. Who pushed you?"
Macau looked uncertain before he pointed to the two beta's who stood off to the side. Porsche looked at them and they looked smug. You could see it in thier eyes. Porsche fumed at that.
"I want you two to be in the gym in an hour. If you aren't there then the consequences will be more severe for you. Ken, you get the honor of punishing them. I don't want them getting away with this. Big, you'll help me get... What's your name little one?" Porsche asked, his tone switching between strict and unwavering right over to soft and kind. As if Macau was the most precious thing in the world who deserved only the kindest of things.
"Macau."
"Big you will help me get Macau to the doctor. I don't like this wound on his head." Big and Ken just nodded before they made their way over to do their respective tasks. The minor family guards looked on in confusion as one of the head bodyguards for Kinn started following the orders of an Omega no one even knew the name of.
Ken motioned for the two beta's to follow him and Big walked over to help Macau and Porsche.
Just before they left the room Porsche turned to them and leveled them with the most intense glare any of them had ever received and suddenly all the Alpha's in the room were met with the manifestation of thier mother who had just found them doing something they should have never even thought of.
"If I hear you drew guns on each other again you'll have me to deal with. Talk nicely or I'm kicking your asses," Porsche said before he turned around and sauntered out of the room with the confidence one would only get from years of experience dealing with Alpha's who had only big ego's.
"Who the fuck was that?" Gun asked as he looked at the place the Omega stood.
The place where the Omega who walked into the room like he owned the place, barked orders like he had all the power to do so and threatened them all as if he had every right.
Korn looked smug as he answered, "My daughter-in-law."
Macau ended up needing stitches but he didn't have a concussion so they were grateful for that. Macau had been pushed intro a bathroom and told to shower off the cold water while Porsche quickly took some of the bigger clothes Chay had in his closet and left them outside the door.
Macau had gotten dressed, had his hair blow dried, had salve applied to his hands, fed and given medicine before he was even allowed to leave the estate.
Kinn had been dumbfounded by the whole thing and Korn amused to no end.
Thankhun had been livid but he calmed down as soon as Porsche started shouting back because apparently Porsche can get louder than Thankhun.
Kinn does not want to find out how exactly someone gets to that point.
However, for day's to come every guard and maid would talk about Khun Kinn's newly acquired Omega strutting into a room full of Alpha's and bringing them to thier knees like a bunch of followers to thier ruler.
When Kim had been informed by Big about what had been happening at the compound he had been puzzled.
Look Kim has separated himself from his family and he's done so with ease never before seen because, well he knows how to hold things over people's heads. He also knows how to make use of the shadows around him.
Now just because he stepped out of the underground does not mean that he didn't keep tabs on it.
Hearing Kinn had moved an Omega into the Major compound barely a month after meeting him, Kim was getting ready for his brothers heart to be shattered again. Kinn did seem to love blindly.
Then the Omega stayed for longer than Kim though he would. One day turned into a week and before long a week turned into almost two months.
Kim couldn't understand it. Couldn't wrap his head around it. What was this Omega doing for Kinn to keep him around longer?
Kinn has had infatuations in the past. He's grown obsessive and then when he got bored he threw his toy to the side and moved on. The longest he's gone was a month.
Then he heard from the rest of the underworld. From the shadows that lurked just far enough for them not to be associated but close enough for the shadow to speak of everything he'd heard.
Here's a sentence Kim never thought he'd hear from anyone.
'Khun Kinn lowered his weapon on the Omega's orders.'
So the Omega was dishing out orders and Kinn took them without second thought?
What was happening. That's never been a thing Kinn allowed.
He never allowed people near him after they had been caught in a lie and so Kim decided to talk to Big and try and figure out what was happening.
Big answered as he always did. With honesty.
"Porsche raised himself and his brother. He knows how to control when it was needed and he knows how to diffuse a situation."
When Kim asked Big where exactly Porsche would learn things like this Big answered honestly.
"Most Omega's with his background learn how to do it because they don't live they survive and you don't survive if you always pick fights or retaliate physically when tensions do rise."
Kim felt odd at being told this.
He had tried wrapping his head around it but he just couldn't.
He looked into every single part of Porsche's life, from beginning to end.
Porsche wasn't looking for handouts, he'd rather die than accept help.
Porsche wasn't in trouble with their side of the fence, the loan sharks had only come once before walking away.
Porsche wasn't looking for a way out of trouble with the other side of the fence, aside from an incident when Porsche was sixteen Kim couldn't find anything else.
So what was it Porsche was after?
Kim only found out five weeks later why.
Porsche was pregnant with Kinn's baby and by the sounds of it, it wasn't planned and it wasn't some scheme to hustle one of the biggest mafia bosses out of money. That made it more horrifying because that meant it was wrong place, wrong time and that spelt out innocent. Innocence that Kinn now had in his possession and he knows his brother. His brother is rash and quick to anger and he won't always see reason.
Brining an innocent into that whole mess was just asking for trouble.
Kim had decided to go to the estate around noon because he wanted to have a word with Kinn and everyone involved. If he had to he'd get the Omega out of the estate and away from Kinn.
Here's the problem though. Upon walking into his childhood home, the same one that always felt so cold and distant suddenly felt less so. It felt like he was being embraced by warmth and in his family home that has never been a possibility because warmth meant care and care meant something to use against you. Nevertheless he felt his breath hitch and his body involuntarily relax.
He could smell someone was baking but it was wafting through the house like it had been going on for hours. Vanilla and Sugar lingered in the air like it belonged there.
Kim walked through the house and as he went he saw the way the guards seemed so at ease but they didn't get sloppy in the sense of spotting danger. In fact it almost felt like they were more Intune with their instincts with the way the all bowed to him the moment he entered a room. As if they smelled him before hand which was odd because he's always concealed his scent.
At least Porsche and the baby would be protected while they were here but he couldn't help but wonder if this was what Porsche wanted?
He's not so naive to think that all Omega's want to settle down and have pups and from what he's seen in Porsche's background, having pups wouldn't be something he'd actively seek out since he's known the horrors of parenthood since he was ten. No one wants to go through that a second time and knowing that there might be a possibility of having to raise the baby alone? Well Porsche was being both a parent and a provider for his brother so he was smart enough to know exactly how to work out what would and wouldn't be possible.
So did Porsche want this? Did he want to be a parent? Did he want a baby? Did he want Kinn? Did he want to have a life in the mafia where he has to constantly look over his shoulder?
Kim was hoping that Kinn asked these questions instead of just deciding what would happen because it could cause problems.
Kim's nose led him right to the kitchen. Which was odd because he wanted to go to Kinn's office but it was almost as if something had gently taken his hand and led him through the door only for that warmth to be violently ripped away from him the second he realized what stood before him.
Upon opening the doors he was met by countertops lined with deserts. Cupcakes and pastries lined up and more were on their way out of the oven.
The icing on the cupcakes was crudely done, all of it done by an amateurs hands but they looked so much better than the ones you'd get at a bakery because the way they were made, with a love and care never before seen in this house.
All of a sudden Kim was taken a aback by a thought.
His mother was kind, his mother was thoughtful, his mother was loving.
Would she have baked for him?
Would she have made things like these?
Would she have been in the kitchen at all?
He never knew her outright, never got to know her the way Kinn and Thankhun did. All he ever saw was the back of her head.
She had gotten PPD after giving birth to Kim and Korn refused to get her help of any kind. Had she been given help would he have had a mother who did things like this for him? Would he have had a mother? Would he have had homecooked meals? Would he be doted on even as he grew older? Would he have been loved?
Kim didn't realize it but as he was looking at the cupcakes his scent soured into something unmistakably sad. Porsche, who was standing in front of the oven watching as the pastries slowly rose smelled it and was quick to find it in a young Alpha, probably a few years younger than Porsche standing there looking at the cupcakes.
He might have been a few years younger but Porsche knew a broken hearted pup when he saw one. Knew when one needed a mothers touch and Porsche has been a mother his entire life to one pup he can stand to be a mother to another even if it was for a little while.
He walked closer, picking up a cupcake as he walked closer and offered it to the boy with a smile. No questions, no meddling and no pity because Porsche knew it was best to give time and space rather than demand.
The boy startled at first before he his hand hovered over the offered cupcake and his eyes gave away that he was confused. Confused on why he was being handed something without prompt. That someone wasn't attaching strings and Porsche just slowly took the boys hand and put the cupcake in his palm. Porsche's heart broke at the idea that this pup hadn't been given freely but he was happy knowing he was able to do it for him first.
Porsche rested his hand on the boy's shoulder, he tensed up at the contact. His body wrung tight and almost fight ready but Porsche didn't let that affect him. He'd mourn the pup later. He ruffled his hair with his other hand before he turned around and went back to his pastries. If the boy wanted to talk he'd talk, if he wanted to stay and process he could do that too. Either way Porsche would be there.
Kim looked at Porsche with wide eyes. This was not what he expected. He's been through Porsche's file. Has scoured and unearthed every bit of information on the Omega currently watching the pastries through the oven. Porsche isn't supposed to be so kind, he's not supposed to be so comforting especially not to an Alpha who he doesn't know and an Alpha who just walked in. Instead he found...
Warmth.
Kim walked out of the kitchen with a stunned look as he held the cupcake delicately in his hand. Almost afraid of destroying it. He reached up to touch his head, It still felt nice, almost comforting which was weird because since when did touch make him feel so giddy, almost childlike. He wandered through the estate in a daze almost and he walked into Kinn's office with his eyes glazed over and his body relaxed and he was still touching his head.
Kinn looked at his brother and he knew that look. He's seen it on a lot of the bodyguards here and even on himself a few times. Still he took in Kim's expression, his hand on his head, and a cupcake carefully held in his hand as if it was the most precious thing in the world and he couldn't help but snort before he sat his tablet down to look at his baby brother.
"I see you've met Porsche," Kinn said casually.
"That absolute angel was Porsche?! Is that why you got him pregnant?!" Kim asked and Kinn looked absolutely offended at the notion that he wasn't worthy of Porsche.
Which was definitely true but no one was allowed to point it out like that!
Porchay has known Porsche as his mother since day one but the two refuse to cross that line.
Porsche refuses to cross that line because he wants to keep alive the memories he has about thier parents.
Porchay refuses to cross that line because he's afraid Porsche would feel more pressure if thier titles changed.
Porsche remembers his parents because they were there and Chay only knows Porsche.
Porchay had been fretted over, scolded, comforted, protected and provided for by Porsche his entire life.
His brother had been strengthened not through the smooth hand of guidance but rather the cruel touch of survival.
Porchay remembers Porsche walking them both home during winter. Remembers Porsche going to parent teacher meetings every year. Remembers Porsche finishing with his homework before helping Chay with his. Remembers how hard Porsche worked to keep them afloat. Remembers when Porsche went without just so Porchay wouldn't have to. Remembers every single second of sacrifice Porsche has made for him.
There was one winter when the heat went out in the house because Arthee had somehow managed to break the heater and so Porsche had used most of the blankets to warm Chay and but the end of that month Porsche didn't get used to the cold he just endured it a lot better.
At first he was a little apprehensive to the idea that he and his brother should move into the Theerapanyakun estate because Porchay knew that if it meant a better life for Chay then Porsche would set aside his own comfort and to this day Porchay doesn't know how to get his brother to stop doing that.
He's old enough to look after himself. Porsche doesn't have to keep breaking himself for Porchay's benefit but here they are in the Theerapanyakun estate and at first Porchay was weary but that was because Porsche was weary.
Too many rooms.
Too much stuff.
Too many guns.
Too many Alpha's.
Porchay remembers that night, you know? He was six but he remembers it clearly.
Porsche going downstairs to get Chay water and Chay just remembers the screaming, and the fighting. He remembers seeing an Alpha on top of his brother, trying to get Porsche to submit and he remembers Porsche pushing him. Remembers Porsche fighting so hard and he remembers the sickening crack that rung through the room when the man fell down the stairs. He had broken his neck and Porsche had picked himself up and moved upstairs. Chay remembers running to his room and getting in bed. Pretending to be asleep because Porsche would have gotten mad at him for being out of bed. He remembers Porsche walking into his room, breathing heavy and locking the door, checking on him, making sure he was okay before tucking him in and grabbing the phone to call the Police.
The neighbors would have never called because screams, gunshots, sirens were all to familiar and no one ever wanted to be involved.
By the time Porchay was old enough to understand what had happened it was already too late for him to bring it up and Porsche had already started fearing most Alpha's.
The aggressive, the loud, the physical.
Porchay has seen one too many Alpha's be put on their backs because they came at Porsche from behind. Has seen too many Alpha's be chased off with a cold demeanor because Porsche didn't let them get close. Has felt Porsche tense up at the sight of an Alpha getting to close to either of them. He's seen Porsche check every room, every lock and every door before going to bed twice. He hadn't realized until he was older that he started doing the same simply because Porsche's fear unwillingly bled out into Chay.
He's spent his entire life avoiding Alpha's, and yes he indulged once or twice and he learned to grow comfortable with three or four Alpha's around him but now he was in a house full of Alpha's used to taking control, used to barking orders, used to being the leader and it terrified Porsche because he didn't know what they would do.
Luckily Porsche has what Porchay likes to call the ultimate mom move.
He's seen his friends fall pliant when their mothers do it to them and when Porsche does it there's just something that makes it a little stronger.
When Porsche looks at you with the most proud smile and the kindest eyes and these people eat it up like Chay's never seen before.
Porchay has seen Kinn, the supposed big bad mafia man, falter in his steps because Porsche had a disappointed look on his face. It wasn't even directed at him! He's also seen one, one, minor argument between the two. It was about Porsche needing to give way to the staff so they could do their job and Kinn was in the middle of trying to explain how Porsche was in a delicate state, only to change his sentence as fast as possible because Porsche raised his brow at him.
He sees the way the bodyguards respond to Porsche. The way they turn to him as soon as he enters. The way they move before he's finished a sentence. The way they are quick to surround him if they fear he is in danger but never fully overwhelm him with their presence.
He's seen all of them, including Kinn. adjust thier posture the moment Porsche walks into the room as if silently telling Porsche that they will listen to any decisions he makes.
He finds it amusing and hilarious because they are supposed to fear these people? They are supposed to keep their head down and their shoulders stiff when these people are near?
Don't get him wrong he loves seeing it.
Loves seeing Porsche get pampered. Loves seeing him be taken care of for once because this is what his brother deserves. He loves the idea of having a baby brother who would never have to suffer as they did because even if Porsche took the brunt of the burden Porchay still carried some. He's happy his brother is starting a new chapter with people who adore him because he's seen the way some of these bodyguards act.
They don't treat him like he's made of glass, Porsche would riot if they did, but instead they treat him like the most priceless and rare jewel in the entire estate.
Now Porsche get's treated like a jewel and Porchay get's treated nearly the same but also a little different. If he can put it like that?
He is the first pup to step foot in the Theerapanyakun home in a few years and everyone enjoys it because with Porchay comes love. His brother thought him everything one should know.
Always care, always be kind, stand up for yourself and never apologize for being you no matter the circumstances. These are words Porchay live by wholeheartedly and as such the guards like him too because he's not afraid to speak his mind.
He doesn't have the physical strength or the ability to strike terror into people's hearts the way Porsche does because Porsche has that mom thing down to a science, but he does have a mouth that can shut anyone up and leave most stunned and that gives him time to run away.
Any way's, even if it didn't start off in the best way possible Porchay was glad Porsche found Kinn.
An Alpha who could match Porsche in strength, wit and someone who could take care of Porsche. Someone who doesn't find it weird that Porsche still had mini heart attacks every time Kinn buys him something expensive or finds it weird that Porsche still looks at price tags when out shopping. In fact Kinn indulges it and has since taken to being more mindful of what he buys, he just rips the price tag off and tells Porsche it reminded him of Porsche and moves on because a gift isn't something Porsche can fret over or refuse.
However, on a deeper more emotional level Porchay will admit that he feels sad that Porsche always seems to hesitate when receiving anything. He's not used to gifts, he's not used to just blindly taking without caring and a part of him wonders if Porsche would ever sort of get over it? Overcome it? Learns to trust that he shouldn't expect malice when he is the one being given things.
Porchay is also happy to know there is another pup for Porsche to dote on.
After what happened Macau had been over almost everyday. This started happening about a week after the incident and Porsche had been absolutely thrilled to have him over.
Porsche got a new pup to adore and Porchay got a new friend because he and Macau hit it off immediately and he's loved every minute of it
Macau had been a little hesitant in the beginning. He hesitated before walking up to the front door and he'd been cautious with everyone, even Porsche and Chay because Macau wasn't used to this. It was something Chay couldn't understand, ever really, because he's always had Porsche there. Chay watched as Macau hesitated before hugging Porsche, how he looked weary before accepting any compliments and how words of affirmation, casually mentioned, were met with dead silence and bewildered looks.
Macau warmed up to Porsche the moment he realized there were no strings attached. That Porsche's love and acceptance didn't come with a rule book. That Macau never had to say thank you for anything Porsche did for him and that Porsche took care of him silently, a plate of cookies, a warm drink, a helping hand with homework. This was when Macau had looked at Chay and everything had softened because now Macau knew why Chay was just so... Chay.
Now there might be a third pup joining them because when Porchay got back from school he picked up a scent that smelled new to him. He didn't bother with it right now since he knew if it was danger the guards would have dealt with it instead he made his way to the kitchen to get a taste of whatever Porsche was making. This was one thing that would probably never change.
No matter how many kitchens there were, or how many people there were that could man them Porsche would always be found in the kitchen. Cooking or baking to his hearts content because that was his comfort. Being able to feed his loved ones.
Porchay remembers coming home from school and he'd have a bad day and Porsche he just instinctively knew. He always did and he'd make Porchay something special. Something that felt safe and warm. Something that helped him talk it over with Porsche and something that always left him happy and ready for what was to come the next day.
He had just sat down when Porsche put a water in front of him with a plate of his favorite sweet treats and Macau, who had been coming over so often Porsche had demanded Kinn clear out a bedroom for him near Chay's room, had walked into the kitchen and sat down. Getting a water and a plate of his favorites put in front of him.
They clinked glasses and started devouring what lay before the, had this been earlier Macau, the one who walked through the house with his spine straight and his shoulders tense he would have hesitated to drink, hesitated to eat because giving something without expectations in return is unheard of in this family but now he tells Chay to split his sandwich with him because Porsche always makes something catered to each of the pups in his care and Macau has yet to try everything. Porsche would later give them each napkins and tell them to go wash up so that he could make them a proper and healthy after school snack and they would both run down the hall to try and see who was faster.
The first sign Kinn had that things were going to change came in the form of Macau, Vegas's baby brother, being over at the estate almost every day since Porsche thoroughly threatened a room full of men much more likely to shoot it out than to talk like civilized beings.
Kinn didn't mind it much because it made Porsche happy.
If Porsche was happy it didn't bother Kinn.
Which was something else he found weird, aside from Macau being over every day. Kinn had on more than one occasion have had to strongarm the truth out of Porsche about his emotions.
It was not what he was expecting in the slightest because well, Porsche raised Porchay.
Porchay was the most emotionally intelligent and open person he's ever met. He's also a little dramatic considering he's seen the kid run through the five stages of grief on speed because the chocolate syrup was confiscated from the breakfast table.
To raise a kid like that you have to kind off show and be more open with your emotions, you know.
He doesn't expect to be told a generic "I'm fine" every time Kinn realizes somethings not right and after spending time with Porsche he's realizing it a little faster than he had.
So when Kinn realized Porsche lied about how he felt, whether that be uncomfortable, angry, tired, overwhelmed, sad, any of it he was bewildered because why?
Why lie about something so small?
Then Kinn had a conversation with Porchay. It happened on accident because Kinn doesn't make it a habit to chat with the teenager, passing conversation here and there is about it because aside from loving Porsche the two don't really have much in common and after their conversation a lot of things started making a lot more sense and it was actually Porchay who helped Kinn improve himself as Porsche's mate.
You see Porchay told Kinn that the reason Porsche was so quick to lie about his emotions was because he's never had anyone really validate them and as he grew older he had to start hiding things from a perceptive Chay and he had to learn how to bottle things up because no one would listen.
No one would listen to him cry about Chay's teething. No one would listen to him worry about getting a toddler home in bad weather. No one would listen to him cry as Chay cried because he was getting a shot. No one listened and no one gave advice and no one ever seemed to care.
One specific occasion Porchay can recall was when one of the older aunties in the neighborhood heard Porsche was looking for a secondhand guitar that was still in working condition she had scoffed and went right to Porsche. Asking him "Why not just get your brother a new guitar instead of dumping some used thing in his lap?" and Porsche had tried explaining that he didn't have the money to buy Porchay a brand new guitar because they were expensive and the money he had saved to buy Chay a guitar wasn't enough for a new one anyway. She had looked Porsche dead in the eye and said, "Then you aren't working hard enough. How do you expect to look after this boy if you can barely afford him the things he want? You'll have to buy him a new one and make it work. We all did when we were your age."
Porchay remembers Porsche's sobs echoing through the house that night. He also remembers Porsche only ever crying after he put Chay to bed and was alone long enough to be sure Chay was asleep.
Then later on it was to not upset Chay because if Porsche was sad then Chay was sad.
So getting Porsche to open up emotionally was harder than trying to get information out of men who have served under one boss for years.
Porsche was open about everything else in his life. Would answer when asked.
The incident as Kinn has started referring to that took place when Porsche was sixteen was not on the list and the reports didn't have much other than it was self defense and making assumptions only get's him worked up and wanting to go hunting for Arthee. He'd put a few words in his head before he'd put a bullet through it but still he restrained himself and waited patiently for Porsche to feel safe enough to one day tell him what happened that night on those stairs.
He knows for a fact Chay knows because Chay knows everything but how much is still up for discussion.
Any way's back to what he was saying.
Porsche didn't openly share his emotions but so far Kinn has gotten him to at least share some because it was hard to read Porsche on a good day he'd at least want to know what was going through his head on a bad day.
Now Kinn was ecstatic to know that he had such a strong Omega by his side. Even if the way he got there was less than ideal but Kinn wouldn't change a thing because not only does he get the prettiest Omega in existence standing by his side, he also get's to have a baby with said Omega.
He would also like to clarify to everyone that even though he found Porsche threatening a room full of Alpha's, who had gun's mind you, very hot and very attractive he also felt a few years of his life being removed due to sheer shock and terror of watching his Omega walk into that room without a care in the world.
The second sign Kinn had been given to inform him of the change coming was when he walked through te estate doors and he could smell bake foods.
Pastries, and cakes and cupcakes and Porchay had approached him with a cupcake in one hand and a plate that had a lot of other sweet treats on it balanced on the other.
Porchay had come to a standstill in front of Kinn, looked him up and down and Kinn couldn't help but note that Porchay was more relaxed than he had been ever since he got here.
Porchay pointed his cupcake hand at him, sticking out only one finger before saying.
"You need to make sure there is enough baking supplies in the pantry at all times because Hia get's the urge randomly and he does so in bulk. Also, you might want to up the training regime. Otherwise everyone's going to get fat."
He had sauntered off Kinn doesn't know where to and Kinn had walked straight to the kitchen to see what exactly was going on.
He was a little shocked at how much Porsche baked but he was happy that Porsche was happy.
He later learned from Chay that Porsche baking was good because if he wanted to feed you he wanted to keep you. Kinn liked being fed.
He made sure the pantry was always restocked with what Porsche favored using.
It did not take long before he had to actually implement the new regime because Porsche kept feeding everyone and no one wanted to stop eating.
You'd find a guard with one or another sweet treat in their hand, always given by Porsche otherwise it's considered a hazard because Porsche hates anyone helping him with Baking. You could sit there and watch and talk but don't give input and don't try to help.
The third and final sign Kinn had that things were changing came in the form of his baby brother Kim.
Kim who had walked away from the underworld and subsequently his family to forge his own path came by to investigate what exactly was happening and the way his brother walked and talked changed after just a few seconds of interaction with Porsche.
There wasn't even a conversation, just Porsche being Porsche and everyone being taken aback by the sheer sincerity of it all.
It started slow.
A few weeks after that Kim showed up under the guise that he forgot something but he never left with anything but a cupcake and a fond, almost hesitant smile.
Then he left with a lunchbox filled with everyone of his favorites because he had mentioned them to Porsche during one of their few conversations.
More than half the time Kim just sat in the kitchen, basking in it's warmth, bobbing his head to whatever pop-song was playing over the radio while Porsche bustled through the kitchen doing whatever pleased him, as if it was the most comfortable place to be. Sometimes they'd talk, whatever came to mind would be discussed, and other times they just found a shared peace with each other.
Kim looked to be at peace with himself whenever he was around Porsche.
Kim started showing up more and more and it felt almost right in a way and that was when Kinn realized things were changing. Now instead of leaving with what Porsche made Kim just sits down and quietly eats while Porsche does what he does best.
Porsche was changing things, for better or worse, they won't know until the end but so far it was for better.
Now however, Kinn is bracing for the inevitable occasion that Vegas shows up at the estate and Porsche pulls him in with his kind heart. He knows how it will start.
Vegas is naturally curious and as such he will come to see what all the fuss is about. Then Porsche will pull him in and, this part has him a little worried, Vegas will fight it wholeheartedly because that's who Vegas is. Then, the inevitable, Vegas will become a permanent face in the household just like Macau.
He doesn't know exactly how he will react to the idea of Vegas in his house, around his Omega but he knows he'll have to live with it because Porsche has room in his heart for a lot of family and nothing will ever change that.
Macau saw it coming from a mile away.
As unbothered as his brother acted Vegas was one nosy bitch. So him tagging along on one of Macau's adventures to the Theerapanyakun estate was expected.
Vegas, as always, looked around the estate with distrust because these were the very people who they had been thought to hate since before they could properly walk. His shoulders were tense, his jaw clenched and you could see him slowly look around. It would be considered lazily taking in your surroundings but Macau knows Vegas was scanning for threats.
Then Vegas got bewildered when Macau was casually greeted by everyone passing by. Maids and bodyguards greeted him with a nod of respect that the minor family had never received at the Major families hands. Some even gave him encouragement on upcoming tests and playful warnings for him to stay out of trouble.
Then came the real shock to Vegas's nervous system.
Kinn walked past them, going over reports on his tablet but he spared Macau a glance and gave him a greeting and a pat on the head before walking off with Big and Ken following after him. As if nothing happened and what Kinn did was the most normal thing ever.
Macau wanted to laugh at Vegas's face but he just grabbed his sleave and pulled him forward. Vegas nearly face planted on the rug because he wasn't expecting to be dragged but he managed to catch and steady himself mid-fall.
"Come on, the cookies are probably out of the oven by now and Kim always take the ones with the most chocolate chips," he said as he dragged Vegas towards the kitchen where the most mouth watering smell flooded through the crack of the doors.
Upon throwing the doors open the two of them were hit with the instant heat of the kitchen blasting them in the face and Macau couldn't help but light up before walking into the kitchen.
He stood next to Porsche, patiently waiting for something and then it came so naturally that Vegas did a double take.
Porsche ruffled Macau's hair in such a gentle manner you'd swear Porsche was afraid of hurting him, and gave him a kiss on the forehead before Macau went off to sit and steal a warm cookie from Kim's plate without a care in the world. Kim grumbled at catching Macau stealing from his plate again but there was nothing he could do.
He greeted both Kim and Porchay with an overdramatic spiel on how long it's been. Kim just snorted at Macau's theatrics and that in itself was odd because Kim has never had patience for people younger than him. He's never had patience for anyone really much less drama queens like Macau. Chay responded with his own overdramatic performance on how long the night was without Macau there and how next time he leaves he should just take Chay with him.
To really sell it the two pretended to fake faint in each others arms. Porsche had his back to them but even Vegas could see his smile as he shook his head at thier little performance before he opened the oven, only to quickly close it and grab his gloves because he absolutely would have tried grabbing the hot pan with his bare hands without realizing it.
Vegas just closed the doors behind him before he leaned against a wall to observe the quiet chaos before him.
Porchay was enthusiastically all over Kim's back, moaning and groaning about how lucky he is to be out of school and how he'd give anything to have some free time. Macau was stealing Kim's cookies and pilling them on top of each other, wanting to try and stack as many as he could before he started eating them. Kim just looked at ease with the two hyper teens hovering around him but you could see Kim's thumb running over Chay's knuckles in a calming motion as he pushed more cookies towards Macau without fuss.
Macau didn't pay Vegas much mind as he was focused on his stack but he knew what was coming.
He knew what was already happening to his brother. He was one of the first with Theerapanyakun blood coursing through his veins to be "taken" in by and loved and cared for by Porsche.
He is the first one because Kinn had to sleep with him to get such treatment and Macau just had to exist so he wins this round. Macau would like everyone to know that he has said this to Kinn before and all he got in reply was an exasperated eyeroll and a "Whatever floats your boat kid."
This went on for weeks.
Sometimes Vegas would be there other times not but one thing was for sure.
Vegas wanted to stay away but he just couldn't and Macau could tick down that one last Theerapanyakun Alpha had fallen into the trap of Porsche's kindness. However, none of them have ever been pushed into the trap, they've all walked into it willingly.
Once you get there you never want to leave.
Macau watched Vegas walk into it one day when he was standing a little too close to the table and he took a cookie from the cooling tray and he only realized it after the first bite but Macau saw it all. He saw Vegas relax, saw him soften but the moment he realized his walls were pulled up again. Porsche saw it too and well if it just so happened that there was a second plate put out exactly where Vegas was standing just to get him used to eating with the Major family before he could fully relax well that's between Porsche and his kitchen utensils.
Although Vegas was halfway there he was already closer to the table than he was before and it would only be a matter of time before Porsche starts fixing his plate and telling him to eat as much as he wants because there was plenty to go around.
Macau is pretty sure that phrase is what's making him gain weight.
Either that or his very bad self control but can that really be blamed when he gets a customized meal? Kim doesn't like anything too runny, Chay doesn't like anything too sweat and Macau doesn't like anything too savory.
It's why Macau absolutely adores Porsche.
He has a loving, caring protector who dabbles as his mother because Macau has discussed way too many relationship things with him for him to be considered just a friend.
Any way's, Macau was a big fan of Vegas finally joining the ranks because that would mean they would be whole and nothing could stand in their way.
He really wanted to stop the fighting and stop the arguing and stop wondering when's the next attempted murder going to take place because both sides want to act but neither of them want to make the first move.
Porsche is changing that.
Porsche is changing the family as they know it and Macau couldn't help but stand by that. Couldn't help but love it.
Thankhun's reluctantly accepted him, enough so that just a week ago he asked Macau if he wanted to join Thankhun's movie night. Which to others might sound silly but to Thankhun that was like being invited into the inner circle. It was big and Thankhun was nice. Not cordial or his usual self, he was nice and Macau couldn't help but want that all the time.
Kinn was exasperated with him showing up so much but a week in and all of a sudden Macau had his own room. He knows Porsche asked for Macau to have one but Kinn could have refused or put his room as far away from the family as possible without looking back. He hadn't. He even has some of Macau's favorite snacks stacked in the pantry which he's allowed to just walk into.
Before all of this, he'd be too scared to sit alone in a room with Kim much less right next to him stealing his cookies like it was the most natural thing to do, ever. He'd never even thought something like this could happen because it's never been a possibility and now here he is, sitting next to Kim and it feels normal almost.
He's not really had time to be around Korn but even Porsche refuses to leave them alone with him and after asking Chay about it he was given it short and sweet.
"Hia probably doesn't trust him so he's keeping us away from him until he can figure out why he doesn't trust him."
If this was how Porsche reacted to Korn, who was secretive and scheming, how would he react to Gun, who is always angry and violent?
Macau really wants to but also really doesn't want them to meet because Porsche would probably kill Gun and no one could stop him.
Chay say's he's still convinced Porsche has bodies buried somewhere because his brother was a sought after Omega and some Alpha's couldn't take hints.
Vegas was not a week man.
No one could ever say that about him but only two times in his life has Vegas felt truly and utterly week.
The first was when he had to watch his mother leave.
She walked away without a care in the world for him or Macau and worst she left them with Gun.
Gun who was a drunk, Gun who had a temper, Gun who got violent.
He couldn't stop her from walking away, couldn't beg hard enough for her to stay and as a child that broke something in him and made him feel as if he had no control and no power.
The second time Vegas felt week was when Porsche went into labor and he had both no idea on what to do or how to call for help.
They were both alone, trapped in this stupid warehouse because Vegas didn't see it coming and Porsche could barely lift a laundry basket much less fight off men grabbing him off the streets.
They had gone out. Porsche wanted to get something from the market and Kinn wanted to go with him but he had a meeting with some of his associates and so Vegas volunteered to go.
It wasn't odd for Vegas to be around Porsche so much. In fact it was weird to not see them together.
They had struck up a friendship, a close and very much bordering on unhealthily obsessive on Vegas's side friendship. Something Porsche indulged because Vegas didn't know how to love any other way that obsessively and fully.
They did everything together and if Kinn couldn't make it to something baby related then Vegas would be the stand in. Everyone knows Vegas does everything he possibly can to ensure Kinn doesn't get to go to appointments because the babies heartbeat is something that fascinates, calms and terrifies him. Kinn finds it amusing because he's never seen Vegas act like that.
Any way's they were on their way to the market because Porsche wanted some fresh fruits for a new recipe he was going to try out.
The guards following them were either killed, lost in the crowd or traitors because the way they were grabbed was too easy.
The warehouse was open spaced with a few big crates standing around and dust formed a cover over every surface there was. It hadn't been used in a while which meant new territory and new obstacles.
They were outnumbered and outgunned and their only option was to stay in the warehouse so that they could at least stay covered.
Did not ease the worry that they were surrounded from all sides. Being boxed in like this meant they were bait.
Well, Porsche was bait to draw Kinn out and well Vegas was only really there because had they killed him there would have been a full blown war on whoever ran this operations head and no one wanted to go to war with the Theerapanyakun family. Especially not now that they are more united than ever.
How Vegas's panic started was he was walking around the warehouse, trying to find something to be a weapon and actually effective against people armed with guns. Porsche was right behind him because they both decided it would be best to stick as close as possible to each other as they could because you never knew what could go wrong.
Porsche's hand was wrapped around Vegas's bicep and Vegas made sure to not walk to fast as Porsche waddled next to him and then it happened.
Porsche's hand tightened around his bicep and he jerked Vegas back, almost making him fall.
"What? You see something?" Vegas asked as he steadied himself before looking around only for Porsche to whimper.
Vegas's eyes immediately flew to him as if trying to look for injuries he had missed or maybe new ones but he saw nothing.
Just Porsche's brows pinched together, his mouth downturned and his free hand resting beneath his very prominent baby bump.
"What's wrong?" Vegas asked as he turned around and reached out to touch the bump as has become a habit of his.
"I'm having contractions," Porsche's words make him stop mid air and his eyes fly to Porsche in wide uncertainty.
He looked at his face again and it was the same expression.
"Please tell me they are just Braxton hicks? Tell me these are false contractions and that you aren't about to go into full active labor here and now." Vegas pleaded and he watched as Porsche moved his hand around his belly in a circular motion.
"This doesn't feel like Braxton hicks and remember the doctor said the baby could come anytime."
"Yeah, in like a week or two! He said a week or two and not right now! We don't have equipment here! Or medical experts! Or even a sterile environment! Porsche this is bad! What are we gonna do?! How are we gonna do it?!" Vegas rattled off as his breathing quickened.
He was panicking like never before and Porsche just took his hands in his.
"Vegas. Breathe. In... Out... In... Out..." They repeated this motion of in through the mouth and out through the nose and Porsche rubbed comforting circles on the back of Vegas's hand.
It took a few but eventually Vegas calmed down enough for them to look around for something they could use.
A crate of alcohol was what they found and Vegas at first wanted to start drinking but Porsche just shook his head and told him to get two tarps and shake the dust off before he took the Vodka and Sake and cleared a space for himself before dumping it on the floor.
He couldn't do anything about the air itself but he could do something about the dirty floor at least.
It took about two more hours, Porsche was counting, with Vegas doing whatever Porsche told him to do while Vegas himself was panicking and Porsche was the optimum of cool, calm and collected as he walked around the warehouse to try and speed up the process, keep his blood flowing and focus on anything other than the panicking Alpha next to him and the pain currently coursing through his body.
It took three more hours before Porsche finally lost the strength to walk and so he decided to sit down on the tarp soaked in alcohol and waited for the inevitable.
What he was not expecting was gunshots and lot's of them and Vegas was the first to react to them by lightly pushing Porsche behind a crate and positioning himself at the front to take on anything coming through the door.
Men shouting and screaming, the sickening sound of bullet meeting flesh and the undeniable smell of blood flooded the air and Porsche pushed himself further behind the crate with Vegas nearly on top of him with his back to him.
The chaos outside slowly died down and the next thing they knew they could hear the two doors roll open and people running in.
"Porsche?! Where are you?!"
That was Kinn. Kinn who was sounding panicked as his eyes scanned every inch of the warehouse looking for his mate.
Vegas hesitated only a second, only a second where years of training flooded down on him. Years of training that told him not to trust not to show weakness and to never call out. The he felt Porsche move and he was brought back to reality and he jumped to his feat to call out.
"Over here! And hurry the fuck up! The babies coming and I don't know how to deliver a fucking baby!" Vegas screamed.
An hour and a half later Porsche was rushed through the doors of the Theerapanyakun estate because he absolutely refused to give birth anywhere other than his home and the only reason he was prepared to give birth in the warehouse was because there was no other option.
Porsche was stubborn to a fault so they just took him home and while Porsche whimpered and rubbed his belly it was Kinn and Vegas who were breathing heavily and Kinn and Vegas shouting orders in a haze while Big and Ken slowly made sense of them before passing them along.
It would be about ten hours later that Porsche would finally be given rest and his baby would be safely put in his arms.
Theerapanyakun black hair, with Porsche's eyes and Kinn's nose. Tanned like caramel and a set of lungs all Porsche could do was look at his son with fondness.
Kinn had started crying the moment he got to hold him and cradle him in his arms as if he were the most precious thing to ever walk the earth and to Kinn he probably was.
The rest of the family had the same reaction.
Vegas had been hit by yet another curveball when he was asked to sign on as Godparent.
"Wait a minute. I can barely look after a hedgehog much less myself and now you tell me that in the events that something happens to the two of you I don't get lands or riches but rather a full blown human I have to be responsible for? What the fuck guys?"
Phoenix Pitaya Theerapanyakun.
The heir to the Theerapanyakun throne.
It would only be when Phoenix is five that Porsche's rule as the Omega by Kinn's side is solidified.
Gun, the alcoholic that he is had passed away in his study. Kidney failure, the mortician said as he accepted the wad of money Porsche handed him.
Korn would follow around two months after. Heart failure. Some say it was his old age and others say it's because an older brothers grief knows no bounds.
No one knew it was Porsche and no one knew he did it to protect rather than take.
He'd warned Gun, about a month prior to his death. Told him if he laid a hand on Macau he'd regret it and not only did he lay hands on Macau he sent him to the emergency room to get stitches.
Korn's death was done out of self preservation for Porsche's whole family. Korn was meddling too much, making too many waves and trying to worm his way in and out and Porsche was not allowing it.
The Theerapanyakun empire stands taller, and more sinister when they are united. A force like no other and it would stay that way.
Porchay was born into ruin, into broken and only later allowed to walk through ivory doors.
Phoenix would never have to go through that if Porsche could help it.
He's only ever have to walk through Ivory doors.
He couldn't do it for Chay but he'll do it for Phoenix.
