How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bug: A Parasitic Analysis

Summary:
Every morning, Stanford performs something akin to surgery.
The human body isn’t made to sustain anything other than itself. Parasites must dig their way into skin, hooks and fangs suckling on warm flesh that squelches and tears in their grip. They squirm through tepid water until it gives way to the soft meat of a desperate tongue or hard bone of biting, hungry teeth. From there they feast on blood and tissue until they are satiated or the host is dead.
(An academic retrospective on sick houses and starving parasites.)

this is my piece for dimensional dreams: a billford zine! i'm thrilled to be able to share it at last, but of course i implore you to check it out for yourself, since it has this and many other incredible works of both art AND writing! :]
this fic was custom formatted to be sort of like an academic paper, which is provided as images in chapter one--for ease of reading, chapter two is the plaintext version.
warnings for: blood and gore, creepy crawlies, and canon-typical whatever it is bill and ford have going on.

okay, one more plug for the zine this was written for, because !! its absolutely wonderful and i am so lucky to have been included alongside so many talented creators!
admittedly, i wrote this a while ago so i can't speak too truly to my intentions or thoughts behind it without running the risk of repeating myself but....i love bill as a sickness and the cabin as a vessel/body, especially because 1. all houses are alive (obviously.) and 2. if any house was going to be SUPER alive it would be one in gravity falls. i'm fairly certain i had maybe one million pictures saved of all the triangle glass windows in the mystery shack because i couldn't get them out of my head LOL
