Notes:

Hey, y'all! This is my first ever fic, and I'm honestly nervous about posting, but, hey, gotta start somewhere, right?
The first chapter is just going to be the specifics of the AU, as well as relevant ages.

Chapter 1: AU introduction

Chapter Text

Major character changes:

PERCY JACKSON:

Percy and Artemis Fowl Jr. are identical twins, but only Percy is the son of Poseidon.

Talia al Ghul, their mother, sent Artie to live with his father, Artemis Sr., while claiming Percy’s divine blood could impact how the Pits worked on him.

Percy grew up in the League of Assassins, knowing of his twin but never bonding with him. At age eight, he ran away, leaving his younger half-brothers, Damian and Danny, behind, though he made sure to set up escape routes for them.

After stowing away on a cargo ship, Percy ended up in New York, where Poseidon led him to Sally Jackson, who adopted him and gave him a fresh start.

Though Percy’s life changed, some things stayed the same: Percy sees his brother Damian in Nico di Angelo, who reminds him of the "stab-happy" sibling he left behind.

After the events of Heroes of Olympus, Percy and Annabeth’s relationship fell apart due to Percy’s trust issues, stemming from his time in the League. Annabeth, needing more openness, felt hurt by his inability to trust. They broke up but later mended their friendship. However, neither is willing to try again—Percy fears Annabeth will leave again when things get tough, and Annabeth feels Percy never fully invested in their relationship, despite his sacrifices.

ARTEMIS FOWL:

Artemis’ story remains mostly the same, but with a few key changes. When caught in time, he continued aging, making four years pass in the blink of an eye.

When he died, he mysteriously returned to life, thanks to Talia al Ghul, who threw him into the Pit, fearing for the one son who might escape the violent life she’d tried to shield them from.

Angeline Fowl is Artemis’ stepmother, and Miles and Beckett Fowl are his half-siblings.

DANYAL (DANNY) FENTON:

Danny (Danyal) is Damian’s twin brother, four years younger than Percy and Artemis.

When Percy tried to escape the League, he attempted to bring Danny and Damian with him, but they refused.

Later, during a failed mission in the Americas, Danny overheard his handlers being ordered to kill him and dispose of his body to prevent his revival by his mother. Fearing for his life, Danny ran away and, like Percy, was adopted into a family that wouldn’t ask questions.

Danny was just 11 when he disappeared. His adopted family misheard his name, so he became “Daniel,” but he dislikes the mispronunciation and goes by Danny.

The League reported Danny’s death, fearing Ra’s al Ghul’s wrath. Danny’s story continues, largely the same after his escape.

DAMIAN AL GHUL:

Damian’s story remains similar, but with key changes in how he handled the loss of his twin, Danny.

When Danny was believed to be dead, Damian was forbidden from mourning or even speaking of him.

When Damian went to live with Bruce, he assumed this rule still applied and kept quiet about his twin. It wasn’t until he saw others mourning the deaths of loved ones that he became confused. Damian couldn’t understand why it was okay for others to grieve but not for him.

True to his nature, Damian never admitted his confusion. He never told the Batfamily about Danny or his other half-brother, Artemis. He also didn’t tell Bruce about Talia having another son.

Damian knew about both his older half-brothers but never met Artemis and only knew Percy briefly. He views Dick Grayson as a “replacement” for Percy and sees him in the same light he once viewed his older brother.
