Daily Planet Reporter Dead

Lost life protecting others

By Lois Lane
Daily News Reporter

Today at the Daily planet we have sad news to share. Our reporter Clark Kent, most well known for his interviews with the hero Superman has, died. This happened yesterday during the attack on Metropolis by the eldritch entity. While in a nearby, supposedly safe area reporting on the incident he was caught up in one of the attacks. He dies trying to protect others from the carnage.

The entity has yet to be named by any sources though many are calling it Cthulhu after the famed fictional character from the works of H. P. Lovecraft. We are awaiting comments on the origin of the entity from the Justice Gang.

Clark is survived by his parents in Kansas. We here at the Daily Planet mourn the loss of our colleague and friend.

Superman Dead

Sacrificed himself to save us all

By James Olsen
Daily News Reporter

During the attacks yesterday in Metropolis, beloved hero Superman sacrificed himself to save us all. A monster straight out of the works of Lovecraft, Kiernan, and Cardin rose out of the bay to wreak havoc on the city with no warning. Superman was on the scene in a matter of moments, quickly followed by fellow heroes Green Lantern, Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Metamorpho.

The fight between the heroes lasted less than twenty minutes, with injuries sustained by all members. It appeared that the fight was going to be lost, until Superman dove into the midst of the monster one last time. Both he and the monster disappeared into the depths.

Thanks to his efforts and those of the Justice Gang there were very few casualties, though officials have yet to release the official toll.

All of Metropolis mourns the loss of our hero, Superman.

Jimmy posted his article followed quickly by Lois's. They looked at each other where they were sat together on the couch in Clark's apartment, having been told to write what they wanted on the events and take the rest of the day off by Perry. While he didn't know just how much they had lost in the events, he knew that they were close to Clark.

They had to be each other's rocks in the chaos. They had lost their love and partner. The person that held everything together was gone and neither of them knew what to do. Other than hold each other.

It had been the worst moments of Jimmy's life, knew it was the same for Lois. Watching the live feed as Superman, Clark, had dived into the monster and didn't come back. To wait for hours until Mr. Terrific had come and told them he was really gone.
