Work Text:

Summer heat was getting to Liam- the humid air that made it impossible to breathe, much less to work out, the burning sun every time you step out of the door.

That's how he found himself lounging on his couch, aimlessly scrolling through Instagram. Seeing that Racing Bulls account has posted something, he tapped on the video.

From the start he could see there wasn't any indication that he was the one filming, so his interest spiked. The video started playing and an image of Isack covered his screen.

"Hey guys, summer break-" Isack said in the video while walking away from video-Liam who stood in the background.

It then hit him when this was video recorded. He remembered how they ended their filming session after making a bunch of videos at once with Isack being pulled to the side at the end. He could recall waiting for Isack to finish filming so they could get lunch together.

Liam chuckled to himself, noticing that Isack still had problems with English and the slight shaking of the camera while he was walking away. The video continued, a familiar spiel of what's next and all that coming out of video-Isack's mouth.

Then the video showed him closing the door behind himself and whispered into the phone, "-Okay, I just lied. I don't know what I'm gonna do four weeks without Liam. It's going to be tough."

That made Liam laugh snicker, knowing that Isack was very much lying in the video.

"What you're laughing about?"

Isack made his way from the kitchen door to the couch, calmness written across his face. Even as it was obvious that both of them were itching to get in the car, they could enjoy some quiet downtime.

"You're such a bad liar." Liam replied, turning his phone to show him the screen. That piqued Isack's interest, as he stepped closer and took the offered phone in his hands.

He pressed play on the video and as soon as it started playing, he stopped it and complained, "Come on, they made me do that video. And besides, I would miss you if we didn't see each other for four weeks."

"Well, it's your lucky day, because I'm not planning on going away any time soon."

The reassurance caused Isack to smile and he plopped himself down on the couch. While the couch was normally considered large, Liam took most of the room for himself as he laid half draped on it, which led to Isack heavily leaning on Liam. That usually wouldn't be a problem, but it was the middle of the summer.

Liam shimmied away from the touch, while grumbling without much of a thought, "Get away, you're hot."

Realizing his mistake too late gave Isack an opportunity to respond.

"You think I'm hot?" he said, looking way too smug for someone who is a living furnace in the middle of the summer. They both knew he purposely misunderstood the meaning, but that didn't stop Isack.

"You know what I meant, you idiot." Liam tried to look annoyed, but he had an inkling suspicion that his face was betraying his fondness.

Isack didn't seem satisfied with the answer, so he pushed further, "Yeah, but do you think I'm hot? Maybe handsome?"

Knowing there was no escaping this, Liam accepted defeat and gazed Isack straight in the eyes.

"I don't know-", he started feigning the act of innocence, "Maybe I should take a closer look." He turned so that he was facing Isack, tilting himself to examine him closely.

"See something you like?" poked Isack, who was also leaning closer.

"I don't think I'm close enough. Let me just-"

He moved even closer to Isack, now not caring about the additional body heat and leaned in for a kiss.

It was slow and deliberate, no point in rushing any of it. He placed his hands around Isack's neck as he was pulled closer by arms wrapped around his waist.

Even when they separated, they stayed close, foreheads touching.

Of course, Isack had to pop the comfortable bubble they found themselves in with his comments.

"Weren't you just complaining about being too warm?"

"I'm taking it back. I'm going away for four weeks."
