Kieran couldn’t believe what Draculaura said to him, they’ve made up after everything he’s done to her and to her friends. But since they’ve made up He and Draculaura started to hang out sometime together getting to know one another, personally and in fact he made him happy that Draculaura said she wanted to fangout with another Vampire to spend time with her, since she loved her ghouls truly but in her words. “Us vampires should stick together” Which he understood. Since he was like that with Whisp and Whisp was his only friend.
Though they talked about their relationships. Mainly him being in a relationship with Spelldon and how supportive Draculaura was for the both of them. But that wasn’t the point or the case in fact he couldn’t help but poked at his vegan stirfright about what she said to him.
“Awe come on Val! This is a one in a lifetime! The fear squad needs a male fearleader for once, and you fit the bill! Also you're doing gymnastics which is fangtastic for being part of the fear squad!”She explained.
Oh how he dreads the day when Draculaura found out he does gymnastics in his free time or early in the morning since it’s quiet.
“Look Laura, as much as I appreciate the offer. I’m still saying no…”He told her.
Of course knowing Draculaura, she doesn’t take no for an answer. “Come on, think about it. You joining the fear squad would be amazing. Besides, Spelldon would be very happy if he sees you cheering him with us!”
And there it was…Using Spelldon against him. Not that he could blame her, he wouldn’t stop blabbing about Spelldon, he was sure that Draculaura would tell him to shut up but she was a helpless romantic.
Kieran looked away from her trying to fight off a blush that was forming before he cleared his throat. “He isn’t in the Casketball team and you know that—”
“Who said anything about Casketball? He did the tryout for the Volleyclaw! Remember in the gym? You were watching him and everything, while cheering him on! Like a true fearleader! And he got in the Vollyclaw team! Plus since you also do gymnastics, it’ll be very exciting,”She exclaimed.
Kieran looked at her before sighing a bit, he knew Draculaura meant well but that wasn’t a good reason for him to do the tryouts for the fear squad.
“Look I don’t have any idea what fearleading is, let alone why don’t you ask the other guys to join the fearleading squad. Since I’m sure not all of your friends still trust me…”He explained.
“Just give it a shot Valentine, what have you got to lose?”She asked him.
Kieran sighed as he looked at her before he started to counter on his fingers. “Okay darling, let’s see…My Pride, My Ego, and My Dignity. Also add humiliation to the mix and word gets out I failed joining the fear squad…I would never hear the end of it from Whisp”He sighed pinching the bridge of his nose.
“I’ll put in a good word for you! Trust me, I’ll be with you every step of the way during the tryouts! Also the ghouls like you! Okay…Cleo maybe and somewhat of Clawdeen may not like you, b-but still! My ghouls like you!”She explained.
“Looks it’s a no and that’s, that’s…There’s no way you’ll be able to make me do the tryouts for the fearleading…”
Again there was no way for Draculaura to convince him otherwise, besides it would be a waste of time on both they’re parts and she’ll mainly be in trouble by her friends if they realise she brought him to join the tryouts for the fear squad.
His decision was final and Draculaura couldn’t do a single thing about it, case and point. He wasn’t going to do the tryouts.

Well that was short lived, since somehow Draculaura got him to do the fear squad tryouts and she was right. She did put in a good word for him as he watched the ghouls just huddle up around each other watching either, Frankie, Clawdeen, and sometimes Draculaura would look back at him before speaking with one another.
It was…Scary even for him. Maybe this was a horrible idea even worse he felt like they were going to do something to him…He just doesn’t know what.
He knew wasn’t going to make it in, since the way Clawdeen was staring at him. Scared him even more, since he did try to ruin her brother’s relationship with Draculaura. This was a mistake and he should leave like right now and—
“Well we’ve reached a verdict!” Cleo shouted, scaring him a bit.
“WELCOME TO THE FEAR SQUAD!”The ghouls shouted happily.
Wait…What?
Kieran was about to say something but Cleo of course cut him off. “Don’t worry, the basics of fearleading is easy. I won’t have time to babysit you so you’ll be shadowing Draculaura and Clawdeen just copy what they've done. Also the Vollyclaw team will be showing up soon, but I assure you; you’ll get the hang of things quickly. Also Draculaura told us about your gymnastics skills which I must admit, I cannot wait to see in action.”Cleo explained.
That didn’t help Kieran at all, but he was okay shadowing Draculaura but Clawdeen on the other hand…She practically scares him.
He knows that deep down Clawdeen never liked him. But Draculaura had to keep reassuring him that she liked him, they all liked him but then again he wasn’t so sure and—
“Val you alright? You’ve spaced out on us. “Clawdeen spoke to him.
“Oh uh…S-Sorry…”
Of course Clawdeen rolled her eyes a bit. “Look water under the bridge Val, just watch how Draculaura and I do it. You're a quick learner I can tell, it’s pretty much easy just waving pom-poms around and chanting. It was hard to convince Cleo to let you join the fear squad since it’ll show the others that even guys can join our fear squad”She explained to him seriously.
“I guess that sounds…Easy?”Val said, clearly confused.
“Don’t worry Kieran! Clawdeen and I are really good, so you have nothing to worry about! Though…You seem like very easy to throw in the air and we could catch you and—”
Kieran soon cut Draculaura off, seeming a bit confused.”I’m sorry…Can you repeat that one more time for me?”
“She said you look easy to throw, I mean watch”
Before Valentine could say anything Clawdeen just scooped him up in her arms holding him a bit as she looked at him. “You're like light compared to the others, and it seemed perfect that you're the perfect member of the fear squad to handle something like this”She explained.
This flustered Kieran a bit as he wrapped his arms around her neck clearly embarrassed as he scanned around hoping that none of the others saw this but heard of course he heard Draculaura laughing a bit which made him clear his throat.”C-Can you please set me down…Gently…”He asked.
Of course he was grateful that Clawdeen did set him down gently, making him let go of her, still embarrassed by what happened.
“This doesn't prove anything you know..Your a werewolf no offense since you do have strength and—”
“Up you go!”
Without warning Draculaura just grabbed him by his sides and lifted him up in her arms. “You’re very light Val! I know your a vegan like me but you weight like a feather which is funny and—”
“Okay I think I get the point! Please set me down!”Kieran said quickly feeling very embarrassed by the fact that he was twice the size of draculaura and yet she still managed to pick him up like nothing.
It was embarrassing but she set him down laughing as Clawseen rolled her eyes a bit. “Well be glad that it’s a good thing for us to lift you since sometimes we need to toss one fearleader into the air and we catch them,”Clawdeen explained to him.
“I get that but…Why throw someone in the air?”He asked her. It was an honest question since it also seems very dangerous too, since many things can happen and he doesn’t want anything bad to happen.
Clawdeen and Draculaura looked at Kieran for a moment a bit perplexed by his question before Draculaura snapped her fingers a bit. “Well it’s something we do, think of it like a performance. Like—What's it called Clawdeen?”
“It's like half-time. Everyone is watching the game while we perform at half-time to show our support to the school and our team. But enough chit-chat let's get going!”Clawdeen shouted.
“Oh dear…”Valentine sighed softly.

Well that’s it…Kieran was officially tired. But at least he got the basics of the fearleading down. If he was being very honest…It was similar to doing gymnastics, since the key is basically strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
“Wow, didn't think you kept up let alone be on Draculaura’s level too”Clawdeen crossed her arms impressed.
“Now I can’t tell if that was an insult or a compliment “Draculaura pouted a bit.
“Take it however you wanted Draculaura, but again good job Val. You really have what it takes to be in the fear squad. Though I have something important to tell you Valentine”Clawdeen explained getting serious.
Kieran looked at Clawdeen and already thought the worse. Of course something like this would happen…
“What is it?”He asked her.
Clawdeen looked at Draculaura for a moment before looking back at Kieran.”Well I didn’t want to upset you but the others were watching you”Clawdeen explained to him.
Now that confused Kieran but he looked over and noticed that Clawdeen was indeed correct.
He saw the ghouls jaws were dropped, mainly Cleo who ran over to him very excitedly as she grabbed his hands.”YOU WERE AMAZING!! OH MY RA!”She grinned.
Valentine just laughed a bit nervously as he slowly pulled his hands away from hers.”Ah um…T-thank you but it was nothing…I’m a quick learner and—”
“Nonsense! I was looking for a male fear leader in our group and you fit the bill perfectly and not to mention that Draculaura was right on gymnastics too! And seeing how light you are is even better! Getting you in the air would be a breeze, I think we need to toss you in the air a few times and—”
Kieran looked at Cleo like she was a mad woman, there was no way he was being thrown in the air. He was already embarrassed enough that Draculaura was able to pick him up and let alone–
“Ah no thanks! I think I’ve got the idea…How about we don’t…do that…”He said quickly.
There was no way he was being tossed in the air, it was that he didn’t trust them…Okay that was a lie he DIDN’T trust them at all. Again doing gymnastics is very different from fear leading! Gymnastics is a one person skill only and he has gone high before doing the bars, balance beam, you name it! Since he has control but when it comes to fear leading on the other hand…
“Oh relax Valentine! We’ll catch you and we promise we won’t toss you too high in the air”Draculaura smiled sweetly.
Of course Kieran looked at Draculaura then back at her friends who seemed to nod in agreement, mainly Cleo who was excited most of all. “Just imagine this Valentine! We go out and perform and everyone is watching us! We go and perform our stunts, you being amazing and we go off on competitive cheer leading and win! The judges love us, the people love us! We're stars! I’m a star, as they start cheering my name! Cleo,Cleo,Cleo—”Cleo explained lost in her own fantasy.
That did not help him at all…Everyone watching them…HIM!? Everyone eyes on him after the horrid birthday incident with Draculaura and how he joined the fear squad and—
“Hey Valentine, relax and take a deep breath okay…”Frankie said as she smiled at him.
Kieran looked at her before he did exactly that as he exhaled slowly but in a shaky voice before he did it a few times before he started to relax a bit. It wasn’t long till Frankie spoke up once more.
“Just don’t mind Cleo. Relax, we won’t throw you too high. We’ll actually listen to you, if you say “higher” we’ll do it but if you say stop we will okay”Frankie explained to him.
Val looked at Frankie but sighed softly, knowing they’re was no way out of this. But at least they’ll listen to him when they toss him in the air. He was just terrified of the fact that something bad would happen in the end since knowing Draculaura’s friends sometimes they do get into trouble once in a while.
“Ah..Okay, okay but um…Baby Steps please…Not too high okay…”He explained to him.
Though it wasn’t long when Draculaura went up to him, taking his hands into hers as he beamed happily.”It’ll be fun Val! Besides we’ll catch you, we swear on our graves! You're in good claws!”she explained.
“Oh joy…”He mumbled, but then again what could possibly go wrong? I mean surely they knew what they were doing, after all the ghouls were really experts in fearleading after all. He was probably worried for no reason.

This was horrible. He was too scared but Dracualura tried to give him a comforting smile which wasn’t working at all.
Basket Toss… They locked together and placed him in the middle to toss him in the air and catch him…
This was the worst possible thing to ever happen as he started to panic “T-This is a bit well…”
“Relax Val, you're shaking like a leaf”Lagoona pointed out.
How can he relax as he was shaking, this wasn’t stable for him! Let alone dangerous! There was 1 no mat and 2 this was hardwood floor. He didn’t trust them not one bit! How could he even trust them when clearly they’ve done this multiple times!?
“Relax you did gymnastics Valentine, I mean it’s similar to fear leading and—”Cleo explained only to be interrupted by her.
“No it isn’t Cleo! I have more control than this…”He explained to her, still shaking a bit.
Though he heard a growl as Clawdeen looked at him dead in his eyes.”Okay, look usually I don’t let my temper get to me but Val you’ve got to trust us on this! This is part of the fear squad training we’ll have to do everyday! We will catch you I promise you that, we won’t drop you and remember we’ll go light and gently, soon we’ll keep going till you get the hang of it okay”She explained.
Kieran looked at Clawdeen for a moment before he sighed. “Okay…Okay fine just…You’ll catch me right?”He asked them.
“Of course Val! I mean Frankie and I are the spotters! It's our job to make sure no harm comes to you right Frankie!?”Draculaura grinned happily looking at Frankie.
Frankie nodded happily.”Yeah! Besides We’ll catch you even if my stitching come off someone will catch you I promise”She told him.
Okay that…sorta helped him…But still they better catch him or he’ll probably never speak to Draculaura ever again. “Okay fine, just not too high…”He mumbled.
“Alright! Everyone ready? Wonderful will go gently but we need to bring up the momentum okay”Cleo looked at him clearly a bit upset with him, not that it mattered since he had every right to back out.
Though he knows that this is something he’s going to regret but nodded.”Yes…I know,”he mumbled.
Still he was nervous about this whole thing but they promised that nothing bad would happen to him. Though they better listen to him either way since he honestly doesn’t want to be too high in the air let alone…Fall hard on the ground.
“Alright, is everyone ready?”Cleo asked.
“Of course Cleo, we don’t have time for this! Now are we going to toss him or what?”Clawdeen sassed.
“Well I just-”
Gods Valentine didn’t want to hear them bicker right now, he just wants to get this done.”Just hurry up please before I decide to change my mind!”he said quickly.
Of course that got Cleo to close her mouth as she huffed a bit.”Okay whatever just trying to help is all”She grumbled.
Though he was curious about why it’s called a basket toss yet without any warning the ghouls just lowered their arms a bit before throwing him in the air before catching him a bit. It was alright but he still seemed a bit nervous.
Still he allowed them to do it a few more times but, this time he should have got off when they tossed him high…a bit too high…VERY HIGH!
Kieran let out an embarrassing yelp out of fear but as he looked down of course something happened.He noticed that Frankie hand came off and noticed that Lagoona twisted her ankle as the other ghouls were watching him come down hard and fast.

“CLAWDEEN!!” Draculaura shouted. She couldn’t believe what had just happened when they tossed him too high, she assured Val that everything would be okay. And yet everyone threw him too high in the air, mainly Clawdeen.
“Why are you getting mad at me!? Besides, he can turn into a bat!”Clawdeen said quickly.
Draculaura groaned a bit and looked at her ghoulfriends.”Vampires freeze up when going up high in the air! I can’t catch him because we’ll both get injured!”
“I can’t catch him because my stitching came off!” Frankie shouted.
“Well neither can I! I don’t want to dig my claws into him!” Clawdeen groaned.
“I can’t catch him because I twisted my ankle!” Lagoona said quickly while holding her ankle.
“CLEO, CATCH HIM!” they shouted.
“I got my nails done…I can’t catch him because what if I chip my nail and—”
“CLEO!!!”Draculaura shouted.
Just as Draculuara awes about do to something, just in the blink of an eye someone rushed pasted her and the ghouls before they just held Kieran bridal style in their arms.
It took her and the others to realise who saved Kieran which made them grin clearly excitedly.

Kieran had no idea what Draculura was even talking about, in fact he was shaking holding onto whoever caught him. Though he was scared to let go and—
"Didn't think I had to come to the rescue~"
That made Kieran freeze up as he stared at Spelldon smiling down a him."Hey, Val"
Kieran froze up a bit and felt his whole face get warm which he wasn't sure if that was possible but he looked over at his boyfriend and cleared his throat."C-Can you set me down…Gently please…"He told him.
Thankfully Spelldon smiled and did exactly that making sure he was comfortable before he saw Spelldon looking over at the others."Soo…Your scared of heights?"
Kieran flushed at that and crosses his arms pouting at bit clearly embarrassed and the fact the others were watching."I thank you for catching me…"
"Of course, though I must say that was impressive" He told him.
Now that confused him, what was that was impressive? The fact that he was tossed in the hair and froze mid-way because he got scared over the fact he was very high in the air!? "What do you mean by that?"
"What it means…Half of the Volleyclaw team saw your moves"Spelldon explained.
Val blinked a bit trying to process what Spell just said to him, which made him look over and there was half of the Volleyclaw team which made him get very flustered as he looked over at the ghouls before looking back towards Spelldon."Wh-!? I-I didn't even see you! "He shouted.
"Yeah about that…I came in early and cast an invisibility spell so I practically saw everything"He smiled.
When Spelldon said that Val just stared at him before covering his face as his whole face flushed, crimson as he stayed still in once place wanting the ground to swallow him up and forget this moment.
"So you got into the Fearsquad batys" Spelldon chuckled.
Kieran didn't want to hear anymore since his ear twitched hearing some of the ghouls laugh a bit, some of them fawning over the fact that he had such a good boyfriend. "Okay I would like to leave right now!"he said quickly.
Before Val had time to react he heard Spelldon laugh before he gasped as Spelldon picked him up a bit as he wrapped his arms around his neck clearly flustered."I hate fearleading,I hate fearleading,I hate fearleading!" he hissed very, embarrassed.
"Alright, come along. Bye ghouls!" Spelldon grinned carrying him out of the gym.
"Bye Spell, Bye Val!" The ghouls stated.
"Bye Valentine, fearleading starts at midnight tomorrow!" Draculaura smiled.
Sometimes Kieran wondered if everything was on purpose instead of an accident. "Yeah…Bye…"He whispered softly still holding onto Spell.
As they were out of the Gym, much to Valentine's amazement and relief that no one was out to see him being carried out by his boyfriend"So fearleading? How did the ghouls convinced you to join the fearsquad?"Spelldon asked him.
Val chewed the inside of his cheek before sighing a bit."Honestly…Gymnastics…"
