-Marker is actually very knowledgeable on soil microbiology and will sometimes choose documentaries about dirt or bugs when it’s his turn to pick for a movie night. At first, the others thought they’d all hate the documentaries, but eventually they all realized that they’re very interesting, and Marker’s happy that they like what he’s happy about.
-Tree is allergic to cats. This does not stop him from trying to pet every single one he sees, however. His partners always get increasingly distressed the longer he’s around cats because of this.
-Blackhole loves going to and taking the others to aquariums. Nobody knows why they love aquariums so much, not even him, but the others enjoy watching them race around to look at all the fish like a little kid. His favourite fish is the jellyfish, even thought the others have told them that it’s not actually a fish.
-when sleeping, Fanny will occasionally make a huffing sound (think the low, huffy sigh that big dogs do when they’re content). Her partners know that it means she’s happy, and they don’t plan on telling her about it anytime soon.
-Tree is the best artist out of the four, though Marker is a very close second. Tree has a sketchbook full of little doodles -or even sometimes fully shaded masterpieces- of the others. He likes to draw them when they’re doing something fun, such as playing a game or messing around outside in a field.
-the polycule has game nights every Wednesday night, and it usually ends in ridiculous roleplay, screaming laughter, playful arguments, or some combination of the three.
-Marker can’t cook, but he’s a wonder with spices. He always knows the perfect spices for any dish, and the exact amount to put in. He burns water, but the others let him have free rein over the spices since he can make any meal taste good with them.
-Blackhole snores when they sleep (which isn’t often since he doesn’t actually need sleep) but when they first mentioned this to the others, they thought he’d be loud, but it’s moreso akin to squeaking. The others find this absolutely adorable.
-Fanny almost never gets sick, but when she does, it’s ramped up to 1000%, and usually lasts at least five days. She’s only gotten sick while on the team once, and it was not pretty.
-When being held, Marker will often face the person’s chest and hug them back. He just likes hugging people.
-Tree doesn’t often cook, but he loves to bake. Bread, brownies, danishes, croissants, cookies, you name it, he’s probably baked it. His sweet treats are good, but he excels in savoury foods, having an absolutely heavenly egg-bacon-cheesecake croissant recipe that he keeps close to his chest. Marker and Blackhole have pestered him about it, but he has yet to spill, and they can somehow never manage to catch him when he’s making them.
-Blackhole, despite growing up in space and having vast knowledge of constellations and star cluster formations, actually doesn’t like stargazing. They grew up in space and spent most of his life there, they know it like the back of their metaphorical hand to the point that it’s become uninteresting and drab. He much prefers a long stroll through nature, especially during midday when all the creatures are about. The others don’t mind, and even think of it as romantic.
-[humanized] Fanny has horrid cold resistance, and is usually wearing warm clothes like a sweater or toque. Because of this, she often gets more physical when it gets cold out, especially if she’s been outside for a while. The others aren’t sure if her ‘winter clinginess’ as they call it, is intentional or just a subconscious need for warmth, but they’re happy to indulge her either way.
Angsty stuff (warning for self harm and eating disorders)
-[humanized] Blackhole loves touching and holding people, with physical affection being their favourite form of both giving and receiving love, but he feels like he’s burdening the others by always wanting to be touching them, and thus has a hard time initiating contact. The others have tried to remedy this, with some success, but old habits die hard.
-Tree often worries that he’s, unintentionally or not, hiding things from his partners, lying to them for one reason or not. Sometimes he is, but usually not. Because of this, he can sometimes be honest to the point of being blunt, afraid of accidentally lying. Sometimes, if he doesn’t know what the truth is, or is missing details, he’ll go into a panic trying to figure out what to say so that he isn’t lying.
-Marker sometimes thinks that the others think of him as a joke, and only keep him around because he’s amusing. The others, Blackhole especially, often help him by telling him all the things they like about him that has nothing to do with him being ‘funny’ or ‘entertaining to watch’, and he’s slowly drifting away from that mindset.
-Fanny never had a good relationship with eating -a fact that was made infinitely worse by being on the horridly toxic team that was Iance- and though she’s been getting better, relapses still happen, especially if she’s under a lot of continual stress. Her partners make sure she eats enough in a day, though sometimes they need to accept that a handful of grapes is all she’ll be able to choke down.
-Blackhole feels responsible for the safety and well-being of his partners and friends, often finding a reason to blame themself should somebody he loves ever get hurt. Sometimes he’s ‘not strong enough’, or they ‘should have helped sooner’. With the help of their partners, he’s been trying to get away from this mindset by reminding themself that he can’t always save everyone. It doesn’t always work though.
-Tree will sometimes pick at the skin around his nails until it starts to bleed, more out of habit than anything. The others make sure that he always has something to fidget with when he’s particularly anxious, both to stop him from harming himself, and so that, should he draw blood, seeing it doesn’t send him into even more of a panic.
-Marker occasionally goes non-verbal, though not of his own volition. He’s extremely bothered by this, since he loves talking to his partners and making weird noises and all that jazz. He’s slowly learning to accept this part of himself, and his partners help him through his non-verbal periods, usually by either cuddling with him or playing a movie -which is listened to more than it’s actually watched-. It’s a pain to communicate when it happens, but they’ve come up with work-arounds.
-Due to… experiences regarding a certain blue number, Fanny can’t stand the colour blue, sometimes going into a brief panic if she sees a shade of blue that’s just a bit too similar to One’s colour. Fanny used to like the colour blue, and hates how it’s been permanently ruined for her -so much so that she painted her bedroom walls grey during a mental break-. Of course, it doesn’t help that she herself is blue. Fanny hates mirrors.
