Around the world not a single human was stirring, no merperson, fae, not even a beastman was awake.
Everyone was fast asleep lost in their own dreams.
Around the world a mist seemed to encase a few people and in the dead of night they disappeared without a trace.
Yuu woke up dazed, realizing that they aren’t at school anymore. Instead they were in a strange room with a few of their school mates.
“Are You Kidding Me!” Yuu screams in frustration. “What now?!”
”Yuu!” Ace and Deuce both scream as they ran up to their best friend, both feeling just as frustrated as them.
”Where are we?” Grim asks, waking up next to Yuu.
”We don’t know,” Deuce tells the two of them. “We just woke up here, Jack and Sebek are trying to find a way out.”
”Sebek and Jack are here too?” Yuu asks, looking around the room to see if they could find the fae and beastman. That was when Yuu noticed that all the housewardens and their second in command (and third in command in Floyd, Cater, and Silver’s case) along with a bunch of other people here. Some Yuu recognized and some they didn’t.
”Sebek isn’t on top of Horton right now?” Yuu asks raising an eyebrow.
Ace nods, explaining “Lilia-sama asked Sebek to find out where they were and he agreed. Not without arguing though,” he rubs the back of his head.
“Where are we?” A soft male voice asks, Yuu glanced over and recognizes it as Neige La Blanc’s voice.
”WHO DARES TO TAKE ME!” An older woman who looks like Malleus screams.
“We don’t know my queen,” frowns Lilia as he gives a bow to the woman, who Yuu is now recognizing as another fae.
“Unca!” A little excited voice calls outs, Yuu sees a small beastman with orange hair run into an annoyed Leona while an older man laughs at them.
“I WILL HAVE THEIR HEAD!” Shouts Riddle at the top of his lungs, It didn’t escape Yuu’s notice when Ace and Deuce both flinched at their housewarden’s tone.
Yuu can’t say he blames them, even though Ace and Deuce are friends with Riddle now, some things can’t be forgotten.
”So do we know where we are?” Yuu asks, ignoring the rest of the very scared and annoyed group.
”No,” Epel says, joining the freshman with Ortho.
”My scans don’t show anything dangerous,” the robotic freshman supplies, looking around the room intrigued.
”You can’t scan anything?” You’d asks concern lacing their voice.
“There is no WAY OUT!” Sebek’s loud voice got everybody’s attention. “WE LOOKED EVERYWHERE BUT THERE IS NOTHING!”
”Sebek.” Jack groans, rubbing his ears while glaring at the half-fae. “Inside voice.”
Sebek rolls his eyes but doesn’t argue.
”Sebek?” A human male asks looking confused.
”Dad!?!” Sebek reals back in surprise.
”Who is all here?” Yuu asks the freshman, confused.
”All of NRC and RSA,” Ace says sneering when he said RSA. Yuu just rolls their eyes but doesn’t say anything, they understood that the two schools were rivals but right now was not the time. “Plus the families of some of the NRC students.”
”Wait really?” Yuu looks and low and behold mostly everyone that wasn’t wearing an NRC or RSA outfit were talking to some of the NRC students.
”Is that Rollo?” Yuu asks when they noticed an angry looking boy in the purple and black uniform.
”Oh yeah,” Ace says with a nod, glaring at the boy before he gestured to the side. “Gino and Ernesto are somewhere here too but they are staying hidden, probably because they know that we will attack the two the moment we see them.”
”Oh I would love to get my hands on that Ernesto,” Deuce says, punching his fist into his hands. “No one messes and tricks my friends.”
Yuu gave Deuce a small smile, “just be glad you weren’t there.”
”If I was there I woulda given that man ah good smacken’,” Epel says, following Deuce lead.
”That would not have worked because we only had a 23% success rate of not getting caught until we saw him and after we found him we had a 0% success rate in taking him down,” Ortho says, shaking his head and looking down.
“Sometimes you could not do the calculations and let us believe that we are able to do something that we clearly can’t,” Epel shakes his own head.
”Oh sorry,” Ortho says, looking apologetic.
”It’s fine, Ortho,” Epel waves him off.
“So who brought us here?” Grim demands, looking around. “And why is there no food? If you are going to kidnap us the least you could do is give us tuna.”
”Grim…” Yuu groans while Ace and Deuce roll their eyes.
”We don’t know, no one does,” Deuce answers while Jack joined the group of freshman.
”Sebek is staying with his dorm and is family,” Jack tells everyone. “He wants to be ready to protect Malleus-sama should anything happen.”
Yuu nods, it’s not a surprising, Sebek’s main priority has always been protecting Horton.
”So what do we do now?” Ace asks confused before glancing around and suddenly a smile forms on his face. “Oh hey my brother is here!”
”Wait really?” Deuce asks, looking to see where Ace was waving. “Why is he here?”
”I don’t know but so are my parents,” Ace shrugs before turning towards Yuu. “Do you want to meet them?”
Yuu was taken aback, they were not expecting that attitude change at all.
”I would love that any other time but right now…” Yuu trailed off hoping that Ace didn’t get offended.
”Right, kidnapped and in a weird room,” Ace rubs the back of his head with a chuckle.
”Ace!” The boy’s older brother calls out to him. “Wher- what is happening?”
”Don’t know we are trying to-“ before Ace could finish his sentence a loud bang got everyone’s attention.
Standing in the middle of the room was a woman who had a huge smile.
”WHO ARE YOU!?” Shouts a man who looks like Sebek but with scales “HOW DARE YOU HUMAN JUST APPEAR LIKE THAT! WAS IT YOU THAT IS INVOLVED IN OUR KIDNAPPING?!”
”Baur,” groans Lilia, rubbing his ears. “You don’t have to be so loud.”
”Wow that was just as loud as Sebek,” Epel whistles.
“They have to be related,” Ace says as if he wasn’t stating the obvious.
”What was your first clue?” Jack rolls his eyes.
”Yes,” the Women says, smile not dropping. “My name is Mandy and I brought you here to watch something or I guess somethings.”
Mandy chuckles at her own comment.
”And what is it that you want us to watch?” Another Women with short blond hair asks.
”Mom?” Deuce whispers in shock and concern. “What is she doing here?”
”Probably the same as the rest of us,” Ace sarcastically responds.
”Can you not be such a jerk all the time?” Deuce glared at the shorter boy.
”I just say it how I see it,” Ace shrugs, hands behind his head.
”Boys!” Yuu snaps, getting their attention, “now is not that time.”
”Right, sorry.”
”Sorry, Yuu.”
”Just a distant past,” Mandy responds with a smile.
”What?” Vil crosses his arms and raises an eyebrow. “What is that supposed to mean?”
”It means, exactly what it sounds like,” Mandy laughs. “You will be watching a distant past, your pasts.”
”Our past?” Idia asks, sounding afraid.
”Yes Idia except it is more complicated than that,” Mandy tells the blue haired boy.
”What does that mean?” A mad with a blue helmet asks. “And how do you know my son’s name?”
”I know everyone’s names, Mr. Shroud,” Mandy responds, smile never faltering. “You won’t be watching the whole of the past, you will be watching moments, specific ones, the songs of the past from a time long gone.”
”A time long gone?” Trey asks, looking confused.
”Uhhh… songs?” Cater asks, looking very confused.
”What does that mean?” Chika asks, Yuu can’t help but chuckle when he notices the little cub was gripping onto an annoyed Leona’s hand.
”Well I would explain it but where is the fun in that,” Mandy laughs.
”Oh you are a fun one,” Floyd follows suit and starts laughing himself.
”I must say,” a Woman that looks like Jade and Floyd says with a creepy but elegant smile, tapping her chin as if intrigued. “That does sounds fun, trying to figure out what you mean.”
”No it does not!” Shouts a Women that looks like Riddle, she was screaming at the group of three with a harsh glare. “I am an important surgeon, I demand to be let out immediately!”
”No can do, you will be here until I say we are done but don’t worry time isn’t moving outside of this room which means that none of you are missing anything,” Mandy happily tells the group.
”It also means that no one will notice that we were taken,” frowns Jamil, staying close to Kalim.
”Cheer up, Jamil, this could be fun!” Kalim happily says, oblivious to the situation that they were in, though it didn’t escape Yuu’s notice that Kalim’s smile looks strained. The happy-go-lucky boy was afraid.
”No it won’t!” Snaps Jamil, as he glances at a group of adults who look angry at Jamil and Yuu couldn’t help but notice that they look like Jamil and Kalim. Jamil visibly gulps.
Yuu had a bad feeling about that, they might have to check to see if Jamil is okay after this.
Trein on the other hand didn’t look upset at all, instead he looked kind of excited.
”We are watching the past?” Trein asks.
”Indeed,” Mandy nods. “And some of you might learn a little something about yourselves that you didn’t realize you have forgotten.”
”What is that supposed to mean?” Silver asks, nod sounding mad or angry but instead just confused.
”You will find out,” Mandy smiles before clapping her hands. “Now everyone take their seats and if you have any questions I will explain it all to you, but I do hope that eventually for some of these songs I won’t need to.”
No one moved at first, all of them skeptical of what this Women was saying.
”If you don’t sit down and start watching you won’t be allowed to leave,” Mandy practically sings to the group.
”YOU DARE THREATEN US HUMAN!” The Sebek looking guy (who is not Sebek’s father because he called a human dad, Yuu realizes that, that was Sebek’s grandfather who he saw in Lilia’s dream) shouts.
”I am not threatening just stating,” Mandy shrugs.
”I like your style,” smiles Jade, calmly as he makes his way towards his seat with his mom and Floyd following. Azul face the three a crazy look but before he could say anything the twin’s mom speaks up.
”Azul darling why don’t you and your parents join us over here,” she pats the seat next to her.
”Yeah Azul, join us,” Floyd calls to the silver haired merperson. Azul sighs as he and his parents make their way over to the family.
”It is threatening if we can’t leave until we watch the nonsense that you are forcing us to watch,” Malleus points out.
”I guess so,” shrugs Mandy, “but still, do you all want to stay here forever or do you want to watch these songs.”
”Do you think if we jump her we can get out?” Ace asks the group of freshmen.
”She kidnapped the most powerful people in the world plus the housewardens, and the other upperclassmen, I don’t think it will be possible to jump her,” Jack points out.
Ace shakes his head, it was clear that was his only idea.
”So what do we do?” Epel asks.
”I say ignore what she tells us and try to escape,” Grim suggests.
”Won’t work, I have been scanning the area and there isn’t a way out, it is almost like we are in a pocket dimension and escape would be impossible without following what we are told but I did scan Mandy and she is telling the truth,” Ortho tells the group.
”You sure?” Yuu asks, to which Ortho nods.
”Then I guess we will just have to do what we are told,” Yuu sighs.
”But-“ Ace starts but is cut off by Yuu.
”Ace we faced 7 overblots, plus that phantom in the cave I’m sure we can survive being in a room and forced to watch songs,” Yuu sighs.
”I still don’t understand why she means by songs,” Deuce mutters to himself with a confused look.
Ace bites his lip before nodding. “Why don’t you guys go back to your families and see if they are okay,” Yuu suggests to the group.
”What about you and Grim?” Epel asks, looking concerned for the magic-less boy.
“We will be fine,” Yuu tells the boy.
”You sure?” Jack asks, tilting his head.
”Yeah go and be with your families,” Yuu waves the boys off.
Jack and Epel both slowly left to go see if they can find if their families were apart of the people that got kidnapped while Ace and Deuce stayed where they were.
”Yeah no,” Ace shakes his head.
”No?” A confused Yuu asks.
”No,” agrees Deuce. “We aren’t leaving you by yourself.” The blue haired boy grabs Yuu’s wrist and pulls him towards his mom.
Ace stayed behind, Yuu saw him cuffing his hands over his mouth before he shouts “Jack!! Bring mom and dad over here!” Ace shouts.
The older boy nods and grabs two people, dragging them towards where Yuu was being dragged to by Deuce. Ace was following not long after.
”Yuu, Grim, Ace this is my mom,” Deuce says stopping in front of the blond haired woman.
“Hi,” Ace waves while Yuu and Grim gave an uncomfortable smile.
“Oh you three must be the friends Deuce keeps telling me about,” Deuce’s mom smiles. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”
”You as well, Mrs. Spade” Yuu awkwardly says, shaking the women’s hand.
At that point a group of three joined them and Ace grabs the groups attention now. “This is my brother, Jack and my parents.”
Yuu gave a little wave while Grim looks between Ace and Jack.
”You too look like you could be twins,” Grim says, tilting his head.
”Yeah we have been told we look a lot alike,” Ace rubs the back of his head.
”Oh please,” Jack Trappola shakes his head with a smirk. “Ace wishes he looks like me.”
Ace in response punched his brother in the arm making the older boy laugh.
”It’s nice to meet you,” Deuce says, shaking his best friend’s parents’s hands.
”Oh please dear,” Mrs. Trappola shakes her head with a smile, “the pleasure is all mine and I’m glad that Ace has someone like you to be with, he is always talking about you three.”
”Mom” Ace groans, turning red in embarrassment.
”It’s mom, her job is to embarrass us, Ace,” Jack Trappola tells the younger Trappola.
”You talk about us to your mom, Ace?” Yuu asks with a sly smile. “I knew you cared!”
”No!” Ace snaps, turning an even brighter red.
”All the time, I feel like I know everything about you three by just Ace’s stories alone,” chuckles Mrs. Trappola who then notices Mrs. Spade. “Oh sorry, I’m let me introduce myself, Queenie Trappola and this is my husband Rex Trappola.”
”Dylla Spade,” Deuce’s mom smiles.
”So our boys are always getting in trouble together?” Queenie chuckles.
”It appears so,” Dylla smiles.
Deuce looks down, he hopes his mom isn’t disappointed in all the things he gets up to at school.
”Yeah with us we should have known this would happen, I mean Jack was the same way when he was at school,” Rex shakes his head, “though I’m starting to think Ace is worse.”
”Dad!” Ace shouts before glaring at the man.
”It’s true,” Jack tells his little brother, “I never had to fight an overblot while I was at school. “You are giving mom grey hairs every time you call and tell us that stuff.”
Ace blushes, “it’s not our fault we are always somehow involved.”
”I know sweetie, I’m just worried about you,” Queenie tells her son.
Dylla nods in understanding, she hates it when she hears about the latest issue at school, it’s always something dangerous and the single mom feels her heart stop every time she hears about the newest threat against her son.
Yuu looked around and notices that everyone seemed to be getting into their seats now.
”We should probably head to our seats, we don’t want to keep anyone waiting,” Yuu suggests.
The group made their way to their seats and as soon as they sat down Mandy clapped her hands together.
”Now let’s start the first song!” She happily says as the screen turns on.
