A young-looking man lies lazily on the sofa, looking without interest his TV- “Man, there is nothing new to watch. Should I rewatch some my favourite?” - He scratches his head while he thinks about what to do- “But that sould be boring, I already saw it five times… Wait… what if I’m not the only one who’s watching it? I can add a little spice to one of those boring timelines who doesn’t do something different.”- A mischievous smile appears on his face- “I have to prepare a place big enough to fit so many people. Oh, and the snacks! It can’t be a good show without drinks and something to eat”- he jumped out from the sofa and ran to the door.
—----------------------
Izuku and All Might were sitting in the meeting room after the first class of heroics, after the internships. They were finishing talking about the origins of One for All, but - “...Thank you, Young Midoriya”- Just after saying that, a paper appeared right in front of the Pro hero. Confused, he took it and read it- ”I’m gonna teleport you, get yourself decent!? What the…” - With a white flash, they suddenly found themselves standing in the middle of a big and elegant reception, with a red carpet and decorations worthy of a luxury movie theater, along with speakers in the walls. But there was something strange, All Might was in his muscular form, but they were not alone. Along with them were the rest of Class 1-A, Midnight, Eraserhead, Present Mic and Nezu.
Everyone looked confused and wary of the strange place- “What the hell!? What happened!?” - The pro heroes tried to calm their students- “Relax, we don’t know where are we. We need to keep focused” - Aizawa spoke calmly, with his tired expression.
The speakers began to blare with a clearing of the throat- “Hello? Can you Hear me? It should work. Okay, please, come inside and take a seat” - Suddenly, a double door opened and showed a giant theater with comfortable seats. In the corner, a man with blonde hair and green eyes with a White t-shirt was sit with a smile.
- “Welcome! Sorry to drag you so suddenly, but i thought it was better to do it without notice” - All might stood in front of his students in less than a second to protect them- “ Who are you? What is this place?” -He already spent the time of his muscular form before the talk with Midoriya, but he didn't feel tired or in pain from forcing it- “Thanks for asking it, All Might, but before I introduce myself, I need to bring some more people” - He snapped his fingers, and a white light flashed the room. Gran Torino was in a seat, with a takoyaki in his hand. Reiko Yanagi blinked like an owl while she turned around. Melissa stood there with a white nightgown and a sleepy face, not being sure what was going on, along with her father, in a similar situation. Mei was holding a wrench. Two UA students looked confused, with their schoolbags one with red short hair, other with blonde and long hair, which looked very similar to the previous one- “What? What happened, where…” -Clark clapped his hands- “Thanks for keeping quiet. I am…” - He stayed silent for some seconds, then he frowned- “Well, I don’t remember what name did I use in your universes, so I will go with Clark. yes, that will work” - He settled in his chair without a care in the world- “I am a being of another world. I can watch different timelines, and yours… is very boring.” - Clark snorted like it was a bad joke- “So, basically, I Dragged you all to watch and enjoy one of my favourites timelines” - In the giant screen appeared a beautiful landscape: An entire horizon of white… a sea of clouds… and a sword-like weapon stuck in the grass.
Almost everyone was processing the info, looking like a rabbit illuminated by the headlights of a car. The only ones who didn’t panicked, was the principal, who was sitting in the scarf ot Aizawa and Izuku, who started to wrote in his notebook with a mumble- “So, if I assume correctly, you kidnapped us and wants to show us a different world?” - Asked the Chimera. That being didn’t look like a menace, but if he could do such a thing without a care in the world, could pose a threat to the students. A muffed “Bullshit!” could be heard from Bakugo- “Yes. And I have nullified all quirks that are not mutant or that affect biology, so don’t bother in attacking me” - He pointed at Tsuyu, who was still looking like herself and Kyouka, who couldn’t move her jacks but they were still there. The rest of them tried to use their powers, but as he said, they were unable to do it- “So, i have some rules… First. Don't attack anyone, that includes me and each other, oh, and sexual comments and harassment are included. I say this because the world I’m going to show you has some similarities with this and some… moments that can be slightly erotic” - He was looking directly at Mineta while saying that, which caused the student to tremble and groan- “Second, I teleported you because the Point of view is centered in the 1-A and some of you” - He was smiling all the time. Izuku was panicking after realizing that could mean that the secret of One for All would be revealed if some part could be in his perspective- “Oh no… what I’m gonna do!?”
“Third and most importantly, enjoy the experience! In this place, time doesn’t pass. I separated the viewing in chapters, after each of which there will be a short pause so you can talk and comment. And after watching some of them, I will return all of you to the place and moment you were, and we will resume the next day at 7 PM, so you can return to home, take a shower…. In the front door there is a bar with everything you need: popcorn, candy, food, almost any drink you can think… And the bathroom is at the bottom left” - A line of arrows pointed at the baths- “Oh, and I have a special rule. I will bring someone else, and i want you to take care of her after I bring you back to your world. Consider it as a favor in return for this” - He stood up and stretched his back- “I will give you five minutes to pick whatever you want while i bring the left person, and relax, I didn't poison anything. I think you will enjoy this, and maybe you can learn from it”- He looked briefly at Izuku, and disappeared in a white flash.
A second after Clark disappeared, the chaos reigned- “Can we trust him!? He kidnapped us!” Mineta was crying in the ground, terrified- “Why are we here? we are not even in the same year” - The red haired girl stood there with a worried look. With a tired sigh, Aizawa took a step forward- “Okay, listen everyone. We don’t know where we are, and we can’t trust that he will not harm us. But at this moment, the only thing we can do is follow his rules and watch whatever he has prepared. He clearly has the abilities to be a potential threat to everyone, so the best thing we can do is not make him angry” - He didn’t like a single thing of that situation, but they were unprotected against that thing. He took away their Quirks and lock them up in a strange place- “So, while we look for an exit, I say that we get some food and drinks and prepare. If he was telling the truth, and we are gonna watch other world, maybe we can get valuable information” - Nezu seemed as cheerful as ever, but inside he was searching for any clue they could provide. Why did they bring so many people? And some of them had no connection to 1-A. As Eraserhead said, the only thing they could do was follow their instructions.
Reluctantly, the audiences went to the other room, and the paradise of any sweet tooth awaited them: candy dispensers, popcorn machines, drink dispensers… anything they could want. The students started to pick their favourite snacks while some of the teachers were talking, coordinating themselves. All Might and the Shields were speaking in a corner- “I’m sorry our reunion couldn’t be in a better circumstances, Dave” He apologized with an ashamed face- “Don’t be sorry, my friend. That Clark is clearly someone that cannot be defeated so easily, and even less so having caught us by surprise. But I’m glad to see you again.”
A brief smile appeared in the face of the number one hero- “Dad’s right, Uncle Might. And maybe we can learn something about him here! So don’t worry, we’re fine as long we are together” -His characteristic smile returned with all it’s might (no pun intended)- “You’re right, Melissa! Now that I remember, I wanted to introduce you to one of my students! But we don’t have much time, so I’ll arrange the meeting after this” - All Might accompanied them to the bar so they could pick something to eat.
Some of the students, despite the strange situation, were excited to discover what were they going to see- “Maybe we can watch some manly fights!” - Kirishima was incredibly nervous and unable to stay still, showing his sharp teeth with his smile. Meanwhile, Uraraka wasn’t that cheerful- “I don’t know… Deku, what do you think? Can we really just sit and enjoy?” - Izuku was reviewing the notes he took right after being teleported, searching anything that could help him to discover a weak point- “Well, he can teleport himself and others at pleasure, and doesn’t seem to suffer any side effects for doing it in a short period of time… The teleporters can be difficult to fight due to his evasive skills and mumble mumble…” - And then, he started to mutter intensely, earning a collective sigh. The two sisters of General course noticed it, and while one of them jiggled at the sight, the other sighted briefly. a little hit in the head, courtesy of kirishima, took him out of his thoughts.
- “Excuse me, are you students of the heroic course?” -The redhead approached the group smiling softly. Izuku blushed at the girl, who had short and brilliant hair and a luring beauty- “I uh, ye-yes, I am… I mean, yes, we-we are from the hero course! We-we are from the 1-A!”-. His stuttering caused her to laugh slightly-. “Don’t worry, it’s normal to be nervous. I am Homura Seihai, and this is my twin sister, Hikari. We are both from the 2-C” - Hikari had her arms crossed and frowned. She nodded with her head, trying to look cool in front of the younger students, despite the giant bag of candy hanging from her hand.
- “Can we sit with you? I would like to hear some things that have happened to you” - She was carrying a bucket full of popcorn and a bottle of orange juice. Iida nodded while moving his hand furiously- “Of course! It would be an honor to share this experience with veteran students!” - Hikari rolled her eyes, but went along with the plan- “Ugh, Let’s go, Homura. I want to have a good seat” -Her sister smiled and shook her head- “The theater is big enough for all of us, don’t worry.”
Shortly, all of them sat down with the food and drinks. They didn’t have to wait too much, because soon the gates opened, and Clark entered with a little girl in his arms. She wore a large white shirt, with bandages in her arms. A horn was in her forehead. The sole vision of that kid made some girls scream softly- “I’m back. I’m glad that you followed my advice. This little girl is Eri. I will give it to you so you can take care of her, okay?” - he lowered her to the ground, but she was a little scared of all of the people in the room- “Don’t worry, they are good people, and here you can’t use your power, so you can relax. I will bring you something tasty to eat. You can sit here” -Unlike before, her smile was much warmer. Eri nodded insecure- “Alright…” -She looked around nervously. Mina and Hagakure were practically jumping in their seats, holding back the urge to hug her.
Clark arrived with two candy apples and some popcorn, along with a bottle of water- “Take this, you will like it” -Seeing this guy, who was previously bragging about his powers, act so fatherly toward the little girl was very strange and tender at the same time- “Okay, time to start, but first. I have to make a disclaimer. Not everything we will see in this world happened or will happen in yours. Others… well, it depends on you” -He shrugged and clapped his hands, getting comfy in his seat. A small paper appeared in front of All Might- “I’m keeping your form. When the time comes, I will undo it”. The lights in the room turned off, and the screen showed a strange place. A female voice could be heard, as they were the thoughts of a lonely soul.
An entire horizon of white… a sea of clouds… and at its heart… the World Tree piercing the heavens.
This was Alrest, the world she had destroyed.
- "Wait... she destroyed... the world...?" - Yaoyorozu asked, with horror in her face. Everyone else in the room had similar expressions- "How can you destroy a world?" - All Might shuddered in his seat. Not Even All for One could do such a thing in his best moment.
Mythra, the Aegis, creation of the Architect, looked upon the ruined world that she had crushed in her battle with her brother, Malos. The white cloud stained in flames. The lands in which the people lived, the Titans, ruined and dead… their corpses sinking through the clouds.
- "Hey, it's me!" - Hikari smiled at her counterpart, being the first one to appear. but her smile soon dropped, realizing what she did. Homura put a hand on her shoulder to suppport her.
Death, death as far as her golden eyes could see.
Death, death that she herself had caused.
Death, death of so many innocents at her hands.
The only mention of so many lost lives made the audience uncomfortable. Clark, meanwhile, was comforting Eri and helping her to eat her candy apple.
Mythra couldn't deal with this… she couldn't live like this… she couldn't exist knowing what she had done…
And like that, she was no longer Mythra. Almost as if a switch was flipped, Mythra was now someone else.
Mythra was now Pyra.
- “Oh, so in that world, I was made by you… should I call you Mommy?” - Hikari watched her sister in horror- “Homura! What the hell” - Her laugh was heard in the theater. It somewhat lightened the mood.
Pyra looked out at the destruction and wept.
Why? Why did her sister create her? Just to deal with this pain?
Why? Why was she brought into existence in this ruined world? Why must she be forced to behold this destruction?
Why? Why did she have to exist alone in this horrendous nightmare? In this hell of her own creation?
- “What a painful existence… so lonely surrounded by death and despair” - Midnight sighted.
No… she wouldn't. She wouldn't be forced to spend eternity in this hell, surrounded by the destruction she had wrought, she would not spend an eternity among the burning clouds and corpses of the lands.
Pyra called upon the Artifices, Siren and Ophion, and gathered up all of the Core Crystals she could find, storing them within the Artifices.
Calling upon the source of her power, the Conduit, Pyra reached into the multiverse through it. She'd find a new world for her and the blades to live their lives, a world where hopefully, the tragedy she had caused would never occur again.
- “So… this Pyra has the power to cross universes easily?” - Nezu was intrigued at the demonstration of ability that being showed - “Yes, but she can do it in some circumstances using the Conduit, and, I’ll not lie, I'm not sure about the limit of her power. What I can say is that they, at their full power, are far stronger than me. I’m a mere multiversal spectator” -That careless comment gave everyone a cold sweat- “I would want to see some more of those giant babies if I didn’t knew that a world was destroyed” - Mei looked at Ophion and Siren, but still shocked.
Pyra parsed through world after world, some similar to each other, others completely foreign… when she had finally chosen one and let herself fall to it, returning to her Core Crystal as she and the rest of the Crystals fell to the planet. Ophion fell along with them while Siren stayed in the planet's orbit.
Unknown to Pyra, the Conduit had chosen to follow her, taking one last thing from the World Tree with it into the new world. The Conduit and its addition sank into the bottom of the ocean as did Ophion.
The Core Crystals rained upon the new world, an event that was originally remembered as a spectacular meteor shower would later be remembered as the day so many things changed.
- “So, as far as we know, Pyra picked up all those… Cores?” - Clark Nodded at the question of Yaoyorozu- “And started to search a world where she and all of that things could live without that much massacre” - Another nod confirmed- “Yup. The core Crystal is the primal form of a Blade. Is like their heart, but with all of their information, like the DNA of a human, but much more complicated. You will see.”
Back in Alrest, however, Klaus, The Architect, sighed sadly as all power drained from the World Tree. The mechanical construct covered in vegetation began to break apart with its power source gone.
Klaus had one last thought as the World Tree fell into the ruins of Alrest and his long life finally came to an end.
'I'm sorry… Galea.'
The audience were confused at that man, glancing at Clark- “Stop Looking at me, i will not answer everything that appears on screen. He is the Architect. Keep watching to discover more”
The screen blacked out, and a familiar voice was heard in it.
'All men… are not created equal.'
All eyes were on Midoriya, who gulped and shrank into the seat. Something tell him that it was gonna have a bad time.
A young boy with green hair thought to himself as he ran through the streets, tears in his eyes. The world around him washed in the warm glow of sunset as his feet carried him to who knew where.
'That was the truth I learned about society at the young age of four.'
- “Four years? Wait…” - Uraraka remembered that Deku said that he was misdiagnosed.
The boy choked on his own crying while he ran, the events of the day constantly replaying in his mind with no mercy.
The day had started like any other day.
The boy, Izuku Midoriya, had woken up, gotten dressed and went on his usual route to his middle school. He was excited when, on his way there, he had run into a villain attack.
- “I like to watch attacks so I can write about their Quirks…” Said in a soft voice that make some of their classmates smile, knowing his hobby of analyzing powers.
This world that Izuku had lived in, this was a world of superheroes and villains, a Superhuman society. A world where eighty percent of the global population had some form of uncanny ability 'Quirks'.
It had all started in Qing Qing city in China, a baby was born with the ability to glow a brilliant, luminescent light. After that, reports of people developing powers came in from around the world.
To accommodate this new state of being, a new profession was created… Superhero.
Just like from the comic books of old, people would don costumes and strike out against people using their powers for selfish reasons.
That was Izuku's dream… to become a hero like his idol, All Might.
The villain attack Izuku ran into in the morning wasn't exactly noteworthy, but note it he did. He loved taking notes on heroes and villains and their quirks. The attack ended up being the debut of a brand new heroine… but that felt so irrelevant now.
Izuku felt his pulse quicken per second. He remember that day clearly, even though a year has passed.
His face was pale as a bone, something that Uraraka notices- “Deku, you okay…?” - Asked worried for her friend.
He didn’t answer, he just stared at the screen with his eyes wide open.
School was just like how it usually was.
The teacher had brought up that it was time for the students to choose what they wanted to pursue… only to throw the application papers in the air since all of them wanted to be heroes.
The class was uproariously excited, all the students firing their quirks in the air… other than two.
- “What a shameful display of lack of education” - Aizawa said with disgusted expression, with Nemuri nodding at him, while Mic looked troubled. He was an exciting person, but even for him it was too much.
One of the two had spoken up to put down the other students' excitement.
That boy was Katsuki Bakugou, Izuku's childhood friend, or Izuku called him… Kacchan.
Kacchan had boasted about how none of the students would amount to nothing and that he was going to go to UA, the world's greatest hero school, and become the greatest and richest hero the world had ever known.
The class was struck silent at his declaration, as out of all hero schools, UA was the hardest to get into.
- “So your ego is not new, huh” - Kyouka said out loud- “Fuck you, Bass Bitch! I’ll be the best hero of all time!” - Bakugo yelled with temper, resting his foot on the headrest.
Meanwhile, Izuku remained deadly silent as he knew they would soon see something he was ashamed of. The taste of bile rose in his throat. Something told him that part was like the one he had lived.
It was then that the teacher had revealed that Izuku's intention was to apply to UA as well.
The class had burst into laughter at that.
Why… you may ask…
The reason was simple.
Eighty percent of the global population had quirks, but Izuku… was one of the remaining twenty percent that didn't.
Izuku Midoriya… was quirkless.
- “Oh, Deku…” -Uraraka murmured. Even Homura and Hikari looked at him with pity- “But that doesn’t make sense. Midoriya has a brutal Quirk. Okay, maybe a little bit too brutal, but…” - Mina said, confused. Even if everyone knew the discrimination that Quirkless had, almost no one in the theater saw it with its own eyes.
After hearing of Izuku's intention, Kacchan had blown up Izuku's desk with his quirk and lifted him by the collar of his shirt before slamming his back to the wall.
Of course, the teacher had done nothing to dissuade him… why would he? The other students cheered while Kacchan berated Izuku and 'encouraged' him against applying for UA.
The deadly glare that Bakugo was receiving from almost everyone in the room was enough to brutally murder him… if looks could kill. And he responded with a look of the same hatred to the others- “Bakubro, that… is a little…” - Kirishima's words were muffled by the screen.
After school for the day has ended, Izuku took out his notebook with a smile.
'Hero Analysis for the Future. Vol. 13'
He had planned to write down about the villain attack from earlier when Kacchan snatched his notebook out of his hand before his lackeys mocked Izuku for keeping notes like that when he was quirkless.
When Izuku tried to ask for his notebook back, Kacchan blew it up with his quirk and threw it out of the window.
Kacchan had then explained his perfect plan for his future.
The best heroes show their potential from birth and once Kacchan ends up being the only person from their below average middle school to make it into UA, people would see that he is the same.
Izuku would have pointed out how Kacchan trying to dissuade him from taking the exam means he believes, in some capacity, that Izuku is capable of making it in… but he didn't want an explosion to the gut.
A disgusted face was shared for the audience. Bakugo had a serious face, like it had nothing to do with him.
Kacchan put a hand on Izuku's shoulder, squeezing it tightly until Izuku heard a crack, and ignited his quirk.
Izuku barely winced at the sizzling pain on his shoulder when the smoke began to emerge.
Kacchan had warned Izuku to stay away from UA… or else. He then proceeded to rocket his other hand into Izuku's stomach and ignited it.
A phantom pain ran through Izuku's stomach, bringing a hand to the area. His vision blurred for some seconds, remembering what happened.
Izuku collapsed to the floor in pain, but didn't cry… the pain wasn't as intense as usual.
Before Kacchan left, however, he had one last word of advice for Izuku… words that kept echoing in Izuku's head as he ran through the darkening roads.
'If you really want to be a hero, there is another way… just pray you'll be born with a quirk in your next life… and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!'
Kacchan's mocking laughter kept ringing in Izuku's ears.
- “What the fuck, Bakugo!?” - An indignant scream echoed through the theater. Clark, anticipating what was going to happen, paused the viewing- “Are you out of your mind!? Did you say that!?” - Mina stood up with fire in her eyes, even Homura and Hikari looked very disgusted- “What, is not like the nerd’s gonna do it or something” - Meanwhile, Uraraka looked at Izuku, who was pale white and and looking at the ground, unable to confirm. A lot of his classmates were also disgusted.
- “Bakugo” - Aizawa’s voice silenced the entire room- “ I don’t know what you learnt in that place, but you can consider yourself lucky that you weren’t studying here when what happened, or you wouldn't return to the school the next day” - The usually serious glaze of his teacher was practically more threatening than when he was using His Quirk. Nezu was was completely serious and looking at Katsuki without blinking, like a hunter watching his prey- “And don’t think for an instant that you and I are not gonna talk about this when we are back”
Not even him could help but shudder at the words of the director. Bakugo just nodded nervously and sat down. After that, Clark resumed.
After that, Izuku retrieved his notebook from where it landed in the school's koi pond.
Izuku made his way back home while thinking of Kacchan's words, deciding that he wasn't going to let them get to him! He was going to be a hero! Quirk or not!
It was then when the sludge villain appeared.
A sentient mass of sewage had come out of the manhole cover that Izuku had passed over while he walked under a bridge.
The sludge villain had proceeded to grab Izuku and tried to force himself into the boy's body.
Everyone was pretty disgusted at the painful show. Bakugo was surprised, not knowing that villain attacked Izuku before him. He was having some gags at the memory of him being asphixiated- “How gross” - Momo put a hand on her mouth.
Izuku could still remember the burning in his lungs as the sludge was forced into them. He thought he was going to die… but he was saved.
He recalled the voice he had heard so many times over videos… All Might saved him.
After All Might woke him up after he fell unconscious from the lack of air, Izuku discovered that he had already signed his notebook, much to the green haired boy's joy.
- “Oh no…” - Mumbled with clenched fists. All Might was also sighing, preparing to what was going to be revealed to the others.
Izuku had wanted to speak more with All Might, to ask him the question he had held in his heart for years.
But All Might had no time, he had to get going.
Izuku couldn't let him get away! He had to ask that question even if it was the last thing he did!
When All Might prepared to jump, Izuku had latched on to his leg, causing All Might to unknowingly take him along.
All Might almost pushed him off before remembering that it would kill him.
That makes some of them laugh at the comical situation.
All Might landed the two of them on the top of a building, chastising Izuku for his recklessness… but Izuku had to ask his question.
Izuku poured his heart to the man, to his idol, to his reason to wake up in the morning and face every day despite the pain.
Izuku felt some pats in his shoulder, and when he turned around, saw Homura smiling at him gently with a soft look. Uraraka also nodded at him, making him less uncomfortable. He didn’t know why that girl who barely knew, was comforting him, but it felt… nice.
He asked him if he could be a hero without a quirk.
But by the time Izuku looked up again, he didn't see All Might… he saw a skinny man on the verge of death.
- “Wait, what!?” - A collective shout of the rest of the young audience reverberated the theater, and the chapter was paused again- “What is this joke!?” - All Might stod up and clapped his hand with strength to hush his students- “Please, calm down. Everything has an explanation. Please, let’s continue the watch” - He looked at Clark, who nodded and resumed.
After calming down Izuku's panic, the man had explained that he was All Might and revealed that he had suffered an injury that left him in that state. He even showed the grotesque scar to Izuku.
- “Oh my god…” Everyone was shocked, but none more than Melissa, who looked at her uncle, not believing what she was seeing. All Might… was injured? A quick look at her father told her that he already knew, seeing the grief on his face- “No…”
All Might then proceeded to answer Izuku's question…
Izuku looked down and closed his eyes, knowing what was coming.
No.
He did not believe Izuku could be a hero without a quirk.
Izuku's heart broke, he barely even registered the rest of All Might's words before the man pat him in the shoulder and walked into the building to turn the sludge villain in, leaving Izuku alone on the roof.
He had no idea how long he spent on that roof, walking to the edge and staring down. He had contemplated taking Kacchan's advice at that point.
What was the point in living anymore if even All Might told him to give up!?
Various of his classmates looked at him with worry in their faces. Even the sisters- “Midoriya…” - Izuku shook his head- “Don’t worry… I’m fine now” Someone hugged him from behind, feeling two soft things in the neck, and blushing furiously- “Wha… wha…” A gentle hand pat his head- “Don’t worry, it’s okay. ” -Uraraka stood there, with her mouth open and her cheeks even more blushed, while gazing at the redhead, who was hugging her crush- I mean, her best friend!
- “Homura, stop. You’re gonna kill that boy if you continue” - Her sister spoke while she was stealing some of Homura’s popcorn shamelessly. The girl released him with a smile and sat again in her seat.
But eventually, Izuku was able to force his mind out of that state and he began making his way home, planning on throwing out every piece of All Might merch he had before finding out what the hell he wanted to do with his life.
Although that hurt All Might a little, he sighed in relief knowing that it wasn't going to go that far. But a direct glaze from Nezu told him that he was in problem for how he handled that situation. Even Melissa looked angrily at him.
On his way home, he heard an explosion, he thought it had been a villain attack, and his feet subconsciously carried him there.
When he had arrived, he was treated to the sight of the sludge villain holding someone hostage, the district around the villain and the hostage was on fire and none of the heroes were doing anything.
Izuku had a haunting realization, the villain had escaped because of him and All Might couldn't do anything because he wasted his time.
- “Why are they standing there!? Can't they at least try to secure the hostage?” - A disgusted Midnight shout.
The green haired boy cried and begged the hostage for forgiveness in his mind.
Izuku's body moved on his own and he ran through the crowd and towards the villain and his hostage… Kacchan. He ducked under the barrier and ran past the heroes towards the fire.
His mind panicked, but his feet wouldn't stop, he didn't even hear the heroes telling him to stop.
The villain tried attacking him, but he dodged by jumping to the side before throwing his backpack at the villain's eyes, blinding him temporarily and allowing Kacchan to breathe again.
- “Good reaction and thought speed” - Aizawa nodded while looking at the screen.
Izuku reached the villain and began to desperately claw at the sludge to try and free Kacchan.
When the explosive boy demanded to know why Izuku was there… all he could say was the truth.
'You looked like you needed help… Kacchan… I couldn't just stand there and watch you die!'
Before anything else could happen, All Might appeared saved them. Izuku was in so much shock that he didn't even hear what the man said.
After that… Kacchan was praised by the pros on the scene for his bravery and strength… while Izuku was scolded for his stupidity.
- “Idiots. They are just idiots! He did the job they couldn’t!” Mic was screaming at the screen.
He couldn't take it anymore, Izuku broke out running in tears halfway through the pros' lecture.
He didn't know where he was running, he just knew that he wasn't heading towards his house yet.
So there he was, running aimlessly in the now dark city, the stars the only light in the sky.
As he ran, recalling the day's events, Izuku's tears redoubled.
- “So… this is where we began, ribbit” - Tsuyu were silent until now, just watching and processing. Meanwhile, Izuku looked confused- “What? But, that didn’t happen…”- Clark hummed- “That’s why I said some things that happened in your world didn’t happen in that, and vice versa. So don’t judge others for what you’re gonna see.” -The rest of the class looked at Izuku, and then to the screen, wanting to see that differences.
Today was just proof of what he always thought! He was just as worthless as Kacchan always said he was! The other students thought so, the teachers thought so, the pro heroes thought so… All Might thought so.
When Izuku was finally too tired to keep running, he had found himself at what seemed to be a landfill.
"This is…" Izuku muttered. "Tagobah beach…"
He had heard of this place, a once beautiful beach that, due to wave patterns, kept having trash swept up into it. People used that fact as an excuse to illegally dump their trash there, turning the once beautiful place into a garbage dump.
- “Oh, yes. Tagobah…” Izuku nodded at the view of his training place, secretly proud of how clean he left it.
"I guess it fits that I ended up here…" Izuku laughed humorlessly. "I'm worthless trash too… I belong here."
Izuku was about to cry again when he noticed light from above.
"A meteor shower?" He asked in wonder at the bright blue lights shooting across the sky. "It's amazing that I can see something so beautiful from here."
The depressive comment were muffled with the brilliant spectacle. Yaoyorozu narrowed her eyes. Then, she opened it when the realization hit her like a truck
- “Wait… isn’t that…?” - She muttered No one saw the annoying smile from Clark, as they were too busy watching the meteor shower.
Izuku's brow furrowed when he noticed a flash of green among the blue dots… it was heading in his direction? If he was right about its trajectory… it would land in the sea… maybe along the shore. It would likely either sink or be swept up to where no one would ever find it again.
Izuku once again started running, he had no idea why, but his heart was telling him that the green shooting star was something precious that NEEDED to be saved! That could NOT be lost!
- “No way! Midoriya’s gonna have the hot~”- Mineta was quickly silenced by tape around his mouth- “First warning, Minoru. Don’t don't get to the third if you know what's good for you” - The pervert tried to take of the tape, but was unable to, no matter how much strength he used.
He rushed his way through the heaps of trash, running as fast as he possibly could despite his exhaustion and pain.
Eventually, Izuku made it into where the sand met the water. He saw the green star rocketing down.
Izuku ran forward and leapt, stretching out his hands to grasp the green star. It was stupid, he could have burnt his hands at best and died at worse… but he didn't care.
Everyone held their breath, watching how the Izuku from the screen was fighting to get that gem.
Izuku's hands reached the green star before it fell into the water, when his hands touched the star, a bright green light burst from it.
He was blinded by the green light as he fell down, landing down on the sand, though he didn't recall sand being so soft, as the salty water splashed over him.
"Oof…" He heard a small noise.
- “Yes! he made it” - The joy spread across the students.
Izuku lifted his torso up, holding himself up with his arms, before opening his eyes.
When his green eyes opened, they were treated by the sight of quite possibly the prettiest girl he had ever seen.
- Well, even though I’m not exactly the one who’s talking about, thanks for the compliment” - And with that, Izuku recovered his status as a tomato while stuttering an attempt of an answer.
This girl wasn't too tall, she was probably shorter than him, she had short red hair that was flowing along the water she was half submerged in. Her figure would have made Izuku a stuttering mess had he been in his right mind, the same could be said about her outfit. Her eyes were red as well and as beautiful as gemstones.
- “I have to say, now that I can see it properly, I really like that outfit. I could use it as a costume if i was in the hero course”- Hikari nodded at her sister.
The girl was half submerged in the water, her face and breasts above the water.
Mineta was furiously trying to take of the tape.
Izuku and the girl stared at each other, his hands on either side of the girl's head.
Through his labored breathing, Izuku noticed something about the girl's eyes.
'They're like mine…' The thought passed through his head.
Izuku had no idea how long he and the girl were in that position, with him laying over her, but the boy spoke the first thing that came to his mind.
"Hey… are you alright?"
With that, the screen went black and the lights turned on- “Well, what do you think about the first chapter? - The audience was confused at first, but then they looked collectively at All Might- “Sir, is that… true? “ - Iida asked, troubled at what he saw. The pro Hero sighted, and with a nod looking at Clark, smoke began from his body, and quickly, the gigantic form of the number one hero was replaced by the thin, lanky blond from before - “Yes… is true. I’m sorry you had to watch that, but I can assure you I’m still kicking and fighting” - Shoto looked troubled. All his life, was meant to surpass All Might, to be a better hero than him. But he were injured severely, and even with limited time, he still beat Endeavour.
Izuku was confused. That version of him didn't meet All Might, and therefore, he didn't inherit One for All, so he wanted to see how was gonna become a hero… or which path would take.
- “And besides, don’t ask too much, this was only the first chapter” - Clark shrugged and drank from his drink- “Also, that world’s time is slightly different than this, so maybe in the future we will have to change the world before we can see the end of the story. That happens sometimes. Don’t worry too much about it.”
Then, a smile crossed his face- “So, ready for chapter two?” - Then, when he was sure Eri was okay, he clapped his hands, turning off the lights.
