Chapter Text

Cid Kagenou.

I glanced wearily at her as she slid the wooden door open and walked in - still eyeing me intensely.

"You will now need to channel your magic to ....." the professor continued, scribbling the corresponding glyphs and magical symbols on the board with a chalk.

"Who are you really .... Cid kagenou ?" She asked, her voice resonating through the entire chamber to cut the professor off and plunge the room to silence.

I tightened my muscles to prevent jolting and giving away any sign of discomfort or irritation at her question - admirably holding in place even as all of the eyes in the room moved to me.

Skel and Po - both at each of my sides respectively - turned to flash me curious glances as the silence lingered further.

I stiffened in irritation as i felt the onset of inquistion and confusion at her question.

She was fr**king ruining my mob persona.

"Princess Alexia .... " The professor began, turning to stare at her with a frown.

"-I have a class, you can't just-"

"I am sorry professor." She apologized, her eyes still peering into mine - hoping to catch a hint of discomfort or irritation to validate her suspicion.

"But i need a private word with my boyfriend." She added while leaning forward to grasp my wrist and heave me out of the desk - manhandling me like she always does.

The student's eyes - including the professor's - trained on me as she dragged me to the door; her feet stamping vigourously in anger.

I could hear her breath coming out in ragged huffs as she dragged me into the hallway, to the corner and up the stairs - the two of us making our way to the library.

I mentally rolled my eyes in resignation as she jerked me inside and shoved the door close with her palm.

A grate resonated through the empty library as she slowly, deliberately withdrew her blade from its sheath - hoping to intimidate me with the action.

Yep, it wasn't working. I was more irritated than intimidated at this point.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as she swung it through a few passes before holding the tip to my neck suggestively, her red eyes gleaming menacingly in the now dark room.

"I'll ask just one more time ..." She whispered.

"Who. Are. You. Really. Cid kagenou."

I stared into her frantic red eyes and smiled mentally - resolved on gaining some excitement from this in the mean time.

"Batman." I answered with a grin.

My head jerked to the side; a clap resonating through the library as the slap landed.

"Owww ...." i remarked.

"If you must know ...." she began with a sly glint in her eyes.

"I saw when you took out those three bandits without even moving a muscle. All of which were branded by the knight order as full-fledged knights."

Oh ......

"Not me." I simply replied.

She snickered wearily; her eyes locking onto mine as she tightened the grasp on the hilt of the blade.

"I will have no secrets ..." She began, her resolve hardening as her eyes blazed with conviction.

My eyes moved to the door which began opening just as she lifted the blade up to strike.

"-OR POTENTIAL ENEMIES IN MY KINGDOM !!" She yelled, bringing the blade down in a diagonal cleave.

Really ....

Sparks spewed into the library; illuminating the dark room when another student hastily interposed herself between the two of us and blocked the strike with her blade.

My brow raised up in amusement as i stared at the fluttering golden locks of my saviour - Student council president Rose Oriana.

I smirked as Rose shoved her away with a jolt of her arm, sending her stumbling a few feet back.

"Rose ..." she groaned.

"Alexia ...." Rose began.

"Interrupting a lecture, dragging a student to the library and attempting to-" she admonished with a squint.

"I-"

"ENOUGH !!" Rose barked, spinning her blade in the air before sheathing it back with finality.

"I suggest you dissolve your relationship with cid kagenou if this is what it led up to."

"Or i will." She finished with a warning.

Alexia's lips quivered as she held her scowl at bay before turning towards the door and strutting out in anger.

The sounds of her stamping feet tapered off as Rose slowly turned to face me.

"Thank you president." I blurted out with a bow, my hands held tightly to my sides.

"Go back to class kagenou." She ordered while turning to stride off as well.

"Right." I replied as she faded out of view.

I stood up, and stared at the empty library in thought; my mind set on what to do about this new development.
