as dylan pulled into the driveway of braeden’s house he grew excited, their night outings always had something fun in store.
“i’m here” before dylan could press send on the text he heard the front door slam shut. the noise caused the boy to look up and he was met with the sight of braeden clumsily running over to the car.
“dude you’re finally here!” braeden exclaimed as he opened the passenger door
“yeah sorry me and cole were wrapping up a writing sesh” dylan sheepishly admitted.
he was known to get lost in his work which braeden had always admired. dylan always gave 100% to creating music
“whatdya wanna do tonight anyways?” dylan said in a playful tone
“how about in-n-out, i haven’t had a double double in wayyy too long”
and the boys set off to get burgers.
“what ever happened with that girl you were texting with?” braeden’s question seemed out of place in the comfortable silence
“oh i dunno i don’t think she liked me” dylan shrugged it off but braeden could tell what was wrong by just the slightest facial expression.
“ how could she not like you pretty boy” the curly haired boy chuckled at the absurd thought of someone ignoring dyls beauty. he wasnt lying either, he truly was always nice to look at.
“aw you’re too kind” dylan joked as he passed braeden the aux to hope music could put an end to this awkward conversation.
the first song he played: luna by the smashing pumpkins
a classic love song the boys knew well.
the tune faded into the background as dylan drove, maybe a little too fast. braeden glanced over at the brunette boy. his blue eyes illuminated by the streetlights flashing by and his skin glowing. he really was pretty..
