Jade was spinning around on stage as always as he saw Davey approaching. He knew the drill now. Jade has to be all nice and let Davey touch his chest. It’s not like he hates it either, but it can be tough during the technical parts. Especially considering that he will get pulled down to reach the other man’s height as times.
He wanted to change it. Jade’s been doing this same thing since 2001! It’s 2003 for goodness sakes, two years is enough time to warrant spicing it up.
Jade watched as Davey drew closer, and willingly let him put his arm around him. He turned his face to the side and gave Davey a lick. He watches as his expression faltered for a moment before he let go.
He kinda regretted it because now his mouth tastes like sweat and eye liner. Sweat isn’t too bad, but when it’s mixed with eye liner, it’s not that good.
After their show ended, Davey gave Jade a weird look. It was a mix of disappointment and gayness because he didn’t mind being licked that much. Jade’s a bit stupid though and, despite supporting the LGBTQ+ community, is not good at telling when something is considered “gay” or even “romantic” in the first place.
He didn’t care too much though, since it was more funny than sweet. If anyone thought it was meant to be an expression of love, then they’re a bit stupid. It’s when they kiss on stage that they’re being lovey, not when one licks the other.
Jade was wiping off his eyeliner really poorly when Davey came into the dressing room.
“Dude what the hell was that on stage?” Davey asked.
Jade shrugged. He couldn’t see very well at the moment since he took his contacts out and lowkey forgot where he put his glasses. “I just wanted to do something different.”
Davey sighed. “Can you give me a heads up next time? I messed up a bit on the notes a bit after that.”
“Oh? I didn’t notice anything different.”
“You’re not the person I expect to hear those differences unless it’s guitar or piano related. Don’t you play a handful of other instruments too? I think we should utilize those in the future!” Davey said, his tone changing to be a big cheerier.
“Yeah… sure man… Now lemme take my eyeliner off.” Jade said. As if he’s going to use more instruments. The band is perfect with its instruments as it is. Maybe some electronic stuff to experiment, like they did with Death of Seasons, but that’s barely a “maybe”.
