Jumper was walking around her base, sorting her chests
Everything was nice and calm, until she heard footsteps from behind her
“I know you’re there.”
”Aw frick,” a voice replied. Jumper looked behind and saw Minutetech just standing there. She giggled at that. “What do you want?”
Minute sighed (unc). “I need you to watch over my team while I go gather materials,” Minute said. “They can be rather silly at times so make sure none of them die or something.”
Jumper smiled. “How are you going to bribe me to do this?”
Minute’s white void eyes widened. “One heart. Successfully babysit them and you get one of my permanent hearts,” he giggled
“Deal.”
At the base
”Team, I’m gonna gather materials so Jumperwho is gonna take care of y’all,” Minute announced to his children (he’s in denial of being a single dad)
”Hi!” Jumper said, waving her hand enthusiastically
Minute suddenly turned to Jumper and whispered into her ear, “Fail the mission and I’m getting Spoke to drop a falling stalactite
Minute left soon after, leaving Jumper to now be forced to be a babysitter
The empire was just chilling, playing UNO while cracking jokes at each other
Jumper sat on the ground next to Spoke. He was very locked in as he had only three cards left
Suddenly, Spoke only noticed Jumper sitting next to him now and was basically jumpscared by her. He screamed and fell to the ground before bursting out laughing together with the others while Jumper snickered
Spoke scrambled back to his cross-legged position, realising he could not place any of his three cards, so he had to draw a card. Jumper read his expression and it told her that he was on the verge of crashing out
Jumper looked over at the others — Jepex had two cards, Mapicc had five cards and Chief had seven
Suddenly, Jepex slapped one of his two cards onto the discard pile and screamed “UNO!” at the top of his fricking lungs, winning the game instantly. “WHAT THE HELL BRO” Spoke yelled, this was the last straw
Jepex burst out laughing at Spoke’s reaction until Spoke lunged straight at him and started play fighting with him
Mapicc was dead on the ground from laughing while Chief nonchalantly sat there
Jumper was also laughing at that interaction as Spoke got up on his knees and stared at Jumper with his wide eyes similar to Minute’s. Jumper didn’t know how to react to Spoke so she pet his head gently
The empire suddenly took a nap on the ground, as if they all telepathically, collective agreed to do so
Jumper didnt know what to do about this so she found some blankets and placed them over each of them before opening her communicator to tell Minute they had randomly just taken a nap
I would say thats a job well done. Jumper thought
