It was lunchtime, and Ash and Goh were in Cerise Park having a picnic. They had sandwiches, chips, and curry.
Goh had just finished his sandwich.
“Here, Goh.” Ash said, offering Goh a donut. Goh then started to blush and his face was turning a bit red.
Ash then started to notice it.
“Hey Goh, your face is red,” Ash said, looking at him with curiosity. “Are you okay?”
“It's nothing. Just a little nervous.” Goh said, covering his face with his hands.
“Goh, what do you mean? You're just blushing.” Ash said. “Come to think of it, you're always blushing.”
He then removed his hands from his face, and stared at his reflection of the water.
“Am I... you know...?” He wondered.
“Huh?” Ash blinked.
Goh jumped. “Nothing. Just thinking about Pokémon.” He said.
Ash narrowed his eyes in a way, as he was trying very hard to understand something complicated.
“Okay,” Ash said. “Let’s test it.”
Before Goh could respond, Ash stepped closer and placed a hand flat against Goh's chest. Right over his heart.
Goh's brain blue-screened, and his face went bright red.
His heart felt like it was trying to evolve.
Ash watched this happen very carefully.
“Oh.” Ash said.
Goh covered his face. “Please don’t say anything.”
Ash tilted his head, thoughtfully.
“Okay. Honestly, Pokémon Journeys being a Netflix original in the West explains a lot.”
Goh made a noise that could legally be classified as a system error.
