Chapter Text
Gladys poked her head outside the cabin door after a final quality check, for the cameras, of course. Once she confirmed the contestants were arriving, she waved over the underpaid camera operators and stood tall before the campfire.
"Here they come! Welcome to the first-ever Camp Kikiwaka Drama Competition!" She shuffled through the small stack of index cards in her hand before continuing.
"Our first contestant arriving at the camp is...Ava!" Gladys gestured to a clearing in the trees where a disheveled Ava King trudged through. She wore a dark red shirt and jeans, her deep skin glowing in the light. Her face was one of exhaustion, evident by the almost immediate collapse onto her two bags. Gladys only awkwardly smiled and continued, throwing away the index card, which floated slowly onto Ava's head.
"Next up is...Tiffany!" Gladys nodded to the opening, but was surprised to find that Tiffany was already next to her.
"Hello, Gladys." Tiffany raised her hand, and Gladys hesitantly shook it. Tiffany wasn't very tall, but her cordiality alone made her seem mature. She wore a striped t-shirt and shorts, with a single suitcase behind her. Gladys shooed the girl towards Ava, who was now upright.
Gladys, still slightly taken aback by Tiffany's forward greeting, struggled to sort her cards for a long moment.
"Uh, next is...Xander!" Gladys turned to the clearing, where Xander's strong form stepped through, seeming to re-energize Ava. Xander wore a dark blue shirt, saturated in sweat, with clunky cargo shorts. He had two matching suitcases, both designed in camouflage print.
"Hello!" Xander waved at the camera as he stood by Gladys, who not so gently moved him out of view and to the other girls.
Gladys huffed, clearly annoyed that the campers were trying to be front and center.
"Anyways, next up...Griff!" Gladys tossed her used index cards aside, mostly into Tiffany's face.
"Huh?!" His brother's name took Xander aback.
Sure enough, through the trees, Griff walked, while Xander watched, mouth agape. Griff wore a black-and-grey shirt and shorts, with no luggage in sight.
"What's up, big bro?" Griff laughed as he stood on the other side of his brother.
"How did you get here? I told you that you needed to stay home!" Xander angrily whispered.
"Well, you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, and let's just say it's easy to fake a signature or two," Griff smirked, clearly proud of himself.
More angry whispers commenced as Gladys continued her introductions.
"Next up is...oh..." Gladys sighed, "Zuri."
Through the clearing she came, out of breath but with a determined look in her eye.
"Don't sound so disappointed, Gladys!" She half-heartedly yelled through her deep inhales. She wore a black shirt with purple and blue stripes, with jeans that ruffled at her sneakers. She walked through to the group, holding a bag and a deep-purple suitcase.
Gladys found herself lost in thought before the snapping of the cameraman woke her back up to the present moment. She threw the index card, aiming for Zuri but hitting Tiffany instead, and kept going.
"Next to the camp is...Jorge!"
Jorge began to run through the clearing before tripping over seemingly nothing and landing face-first next to Gladys, who only sighed.
Xander stepped forward and pulled Jorge up, wiping the dirt from his clothes.
"You alright?"
"Never been better!" Jorge cheered and joined the group, standing beside Griff, the only other person without luggage.
"Next to arrive is...Noah!" Gladys continued.
Noah stepped through the clearing and posed, looking to the skies.
"Yes, yes, it's me." He stepped forward to the group. He wore a dark blue button-up with jeans. His glasses caught the sun at just the right angle, casting a harsh reflection that agonized several campers. He dragged his many suitcases behind him as he joined the others. He felt like a celebrity, standing tall in a group that wouldn't look at him for fear of being blinded. To Noah, it was a fear that they would be starstruck.
Gladys, wiping her eyes, continued introducing the contestants.
"Next contestant is...Parker!" Gladys could barely get her words out when a primal yell echoed from the woods, scaring the group. Sure enough, Parker ran through, jumping into a backflip and landing right in front of the group, specifically Xander, who was speechless. Parker wore a black shirt and jacket, with dark blue jeans. On his shirt was a triangle with a giant "P" on it, assumedly for Parker.
"I did the same thing when I got here!" Jorge nodded, poking Parker in the side repeatedly.
"Awesome!" Parker smiled, nodding to Jorge while receiving multiple looks from the group. The looks told him Jorge did no such thing.
Gladys waited until they stopped talking, then threw her index card at Parker.
"Next is..." Gladys looked over the name multiple times before shredding the index card in her hand and yelling.
"Emma!" A voice came from the clearing in the woods. Emma wore a large sunhat over her long, golden locks. Her shining face, framed by sunglasses, smiled as she walked forth to the group. Her bright dress reflected as Noah's glasses did, but she paid no attention. Her heels dug into the dirt as she walked, and her dozens of suitcases meant she was taking multiple trips. As she walked, the group, even Zuri and Xander, began to get more annoyed.
"Hurry up!" Gladys yelled.
Emma stopped in her tracks, facing the hostess.
"Sorry, sir." Emma spat out and gripped the last suitcase as she made her way to her sister's side, who giggled at the interaction.
"Next is...Ravi." Gladys sighed, tearing up the current index card as well.
Ravi, much like Ava, came through drenched in sweat and heaving. His hair was soaked, and all he could do was inhale sharply. His once red polo was now a deep crimson, and his khaki shorts were a deep beige.
"How did he sweat that much?" Emma whispered to Zuri.
"I don't think that's all sweat..." Zuri said, much to the disgust of Emma.
Ravi dragged his single suitcase and collapsed beside his siblings.
"Next up...is Gwen!" Gladys introduced, delighted to see it wasn't a Ross child.
Gwen, in stark contrast to Ravi, walked through without a sweat, smiling and waving to the group. Her lack of luggage confused Emma, but she dismissed it, considering Gwen's background. Gwen eyed the cameras, moving in front of Gladys to poke at the lens.
"What...is it?"
Suddenly, Gladys pushed Gwen into Jorge, who only managed to catch her because Parker caught him.
"Enough of that! No touching the equipment! You understand?" She waved a finger over the group and continued.
"Next is...Matteo!"
In an underwhelming performance, Matteo peeked out from around a tree and nervously approached the group without a word. He eyed everything cautiously, as if they were bound to attack at any moment. The group watched silently as he stood by Gwen, holding his single bag tightly in his hands.
Gladys found herself staring, utterly confused, before continuing.
"Uh...next up..." Gladys smiled at the card before continuing with a new sense of happiness.
"Next up is someone I am very excited to announce, it is none other than...Hazel!"
A large groan of annoyance came from the group, much to the anger of Gladys, who glared at them with disdain.
Hazel barreled through the trees, a high-pitched scream leaving her mouth as she charged towards the group. Everyone scattered in time, except Xander, who was Hazel's target. She lunged at him, hugging him tightly as they both collapsed to the ground. Emma, enraged by the sight of Hazel on her boyfriend, grabbed Hazel and threw her off of Xander, before helping him up.
"Don't ever do that again if you know what's good for you," Emma warned.
"I know exactly what's good for me," Hazel winked at Xander, who recoiled.
Emma took a step closer to Hazel, but Zuri managed to get in between the two girls in time.
Gladys eyed Emma with anger, finding another reason to dislike her, before continuing.
"Next to the camp is...Destiny!"
Destiny walked through the clearing, putting on a bright smile and a polite wave at the sight of the cameras. She wore a white shirt with pink strips and jeans inlaid with glitter. Once she was close enough, she curtsied to Gladys.
"Thank you so much, Madam Gladys, now that I have the stage, I'd-"
"You don't have the stage." Gladys pushed her towards the others, then threw her index cards soon after.
"Sorry, she's been sort of a grump all day, you're like the tenth one shes pushed," Ava whispered to Destiny, who felt better knowing she wasn't the only one being mistreated.
"Next up...Lou!" Gladys was introduced in a much more cheerful manner, knowing Lou was well-liked by the group and had a hand in keeping the camp open up to this point.
Instead of Lou, however, a small rabbit came charging out, being chased by a tall blonde boy, undoubtedly Lou's cousin, Finn. Trailing Finn was Lou, who could barely keep up.
"Oh, uh, hi?" Finn looked confused at the cameras, realizing it wasn't his turn to be introduced.
"You ruined poor old Gladys' introduction!" Lou told Finn, who didn't seem very bothered. He ran over to Matteo and the others, while Lou stood awkwardly with both of their luggage.
"Poor? Old?" Gladys whispered under her breath, displeased with that description, despite how true it may be.
Lou waved at Emma and the rest of the Ross siblings before she joined them, handing Finn back his luggage in the process.
"Next up is..." Gladys looked from the card to Finn, who was smiling widely at one of the cameras. "I guess he's already here. Okay, well, then that's all of our contestants!" She tossed the final cards at the group, who were now surrounded by them at this point.
Gladys moved to stand in front of the group, now the camera's focus.
"Okay, here's how this is going to work. I'm going to split you into two teams of eight." Gladys said full stop. The group waited for further instructions, but before anyone could ask, she began announcing names.
"Destiny, Griff, Tiffany, Zuri, Emma, Ravi, Xander, and Jorge. You will be the Raging Raccoons." She pointed at each one, and they moved aside to a small blue mat.
"That means Lou, Gwen, Finn, Hazel, Matteo, Ava, Parker, and Noah. You will be the Ferocious Foxes. The group moved over to a small, identical red mat.
"Is that all?" Jorge asked, rubbing his stomach, indicating he wanted food sooner rather than later.
"No," Gladys said with a condescending smile that didn't fit her face.
"The way this will work is," she began, "through team competitions. The competitions will require strength, skill, and smarts. Whatever team wins will be safe from elimination."
"Elimination?" Tiffany echoed, worried for her safety.
"Correct. The losing team will meet me here at the campfire, where they will vote someone off. The camper voted off will leave the camp permanently." Gladys paused, waiting for her words hit the campers.
A sense of dread washed over the campers, who began to eye their teammates nervously. Voting eachother off? Really? That seemed so cruel. Tiffany fidgeted with the hem of her shirt, while Matteo moved to the back of his team and away from the cameras. Emma, who was rarely nervous about competition, could feel herself getting closer to Xander, who only wrapped his arm around her, comforting himself at the same time.
"But do not fret, campers. There is a way to survive the dreaded vote. Hidden on the island is a Kikiwaka Idol. If you find it and use it at the voting ceremony, you are safe from elimination!" Gladys announced, glancing back at the camera with a wink.
The campers subconsciously began surveying their surroundings from where they stood. Matteo doubted that an idol of such importance would be so close, unless that's what they wanted us to believe. He kept looking. Parker knew he had no luck in finding stuff; he sucked at scavenger hunts. Hazel felt she had no reason to seek such an idol, since her family ties would be the very reason she won.
Gladys clapped her hands a single time, obtaining the campers' attention once more, before continuing.
"The boys will sleep in the Grizzly cabin, and the girls will sleep in the Woodchuck cabin, as usual," Gladys explained a few more basic camp formalities, most of which were tuned out by the campers, who knew the rules all too well.
"When can we eat? I'm starving!" Zuri complained, to the agreement of everyone around her, who began asking as well, overwhelming Gladys.
"Shut it!" Gladys yelled. The campers fell silent.
"You will have all the time you want to eat after our first challenge, which will begin... right now!" She laughed maniacally, scaring multiple campers.
─ ☼ ─
The group arrived at the edge of the woods, where the large lake Kikiwaka lay before them. The sight was beautiful, and the time of day allowed the sun to shine perfectly onto the water without hurting your eyes. There weren't enough bugs out to annoy you, and the smell of fresh air mixed with leaves calmed everyone's nerves. That was until Gladys began explaining the challenge.
"Each team must construct a raft and use it to get to the other side of the lake. The first team to make it to the other side in their raft wins!"
"With what materials exactly?" Ravi asked, confused by the lack of resources.
"Materials? Turn around!" Gladys laughed into a nearby camera.
The teams turned around to see nothing but the woods. The realization only fell upon some of them. Emma was the first to turn back around.
"So you want us to, like, go get the materials?" She asked, believing they were hidden somewhere within the woods.
"Emma, these are our materials, we have to D.I.Y it," Lou explained, a look of stress on her face at the thought of fitting eight people onto one makeshift raft.
"Oh, okay, so like upcycling," Emma concluded, seeming to be completely fine with it.
"Uh...sure." Lou stopped while she was ahead, deciding it was pointless to argue with her.
"Okay, on your marks, get set...go!" Gladys yelled, raising her hand in the air.
The teams scattered.
"I call team leader!" Griff yelled as his group began running around and grabbing any twigs or rocks they could find.
"Emma, Destiny, Ravi, you go find as many sticks as you can!" He yelled at the three, who immediately jogged off together to find some.
"Xander, Tiffany, Jorge, and Zuri, you go find anything we can use to tie the sticks together, or maybe some rocks, or some glue!" He yelled at the confused campers, who hesitantly moved away, not exactly sure what to do. Xander stopped halfway through, turning back to Griff.
"What are you gonna do?"
"I'm the team leader!" Griff yelled back.
"You're building this thing!" Xander concluded as he ran off with the others.
Griff did not, in fact, plan on building this thing; that's not what team leaders did. Team leaders looked for idols. And with that, Griff sneakily moved out of view and behind some bushes to start his search.
On the Foxes team, things weren't as uniform. Lou and Finn were barking orders, but they kept contradicting each other, leaving most of the others confused. Hazel and Parker had collected a few large pieces of wood, and Noah had a few long leaves he fashioned into a rope, but it wasn't nearly enough to begin building.
"We need a ton of wood! Ava, Gwen, help the others look for some. Finn, get your butt moving, or else I'm voting you straight back home!" Lou ordered. Ava and Gwen ran off together to find anything they could, while Finn sauntered off to taunt Matteo, who was paranoid that he might be covered in bugs or that the trees might be poisonous or that he could be hit by lightning.
Parker lost sight of Hazel for a moment until he saw her blonde pigtails behind a tree, and then saw Xander a few meters away. He sighed to himself.
"Hazel, stop swooning over Xander, he's on the other team for crying out loud!" Parker dragged the girl away from the tree she had been peeking from to Lou, who collected the wood from both of them.
Finn and Matteo were collecting rocks, for what they weren't quite sure, since any extra weight wouldn't help the raft. They delivered them to the small pile that began to form around Lou, who was transporting materials to the shore. The boys decided they wanted to help and joined her.
"Whatcha doing, cuzzo?" Finn asked, kneeling down at the pile of a potential raft.
"Trying to figure out how we're gonna build this." Lou rubbed at her chin for a long moment.
"Do we have any string? Or something close to it?" Matteo asked, a blueprint already forming in his head.
"No, not that we could find." Lou sighed and glanced down at her untied shoe. She began subconsciously tying it when the thought struck her.
"Shoelaces!" She yelled, but covered her mouth, hoping the other team wouldn't hear.
"What about them?" Finn asked.
"We could use them as a string to tie the wood together!" Matteo's eyes sparked with determination as he began untying his shoes.
"Finn, go tell the others to remove their shoelaces and bring them here ASAP!" Lou ordered, and Finn followed through.
"We might just win this." Mattteo smiled to himself as he began tying the wood.
On the Raccoon's team, they had collected what they believed was enough wood and leaves to build their raft. They began moving their materials to the shore.
"What did you find to secure the wood?" Emma asked as she and Xander carried a particularly heavy piece of wood to the shore.
"We couldn't really find anything, but the sap is super sticky here, so we told Jorge to try and collect as much as he could."
They dropped the wood at the shore and took a moment to breathe. Zuri and Ravi carried in the last few pieces, while Destiny and Tiffany began sorting them through various means.
Jorge arrived soon after, in his hands two large leaves dripping in an orange substance.
"This sap is gonna be the perfect glue!" Jorge reached out his hand for Xander to take the leaf, but when Xander attempted to grab the sticky leaf, he found it wasn't budging.
"Uhh...Xander?" Jorge asked, only a slight hint of worry in his voice.
Xander pulled harder and harder until he eventually ripped the leaf off and fell back into the sorted wood with a loud bang.
Jorge yelped in pain, his hand red and raw now. He lifted the other hand, signalling Emma to rip it off, but she only moved behind Destiny, who sighed at the sight.
Another yelp of pain escaped Jorge as Destiny tore the leaf off. Jorge rushed to the lake and let his hands cool in the water, soothing the pain and washing away the sap.
"So, are we just gonna stand around, or are we gonna build this thing?" Zuri asked, already taking globs of sap and attaching pieces of wood.
"Yeah, but first of all...where's Griff?" Xander asked, rubbing his back.
On the Foxes team, they had about half of their raft completed, with bright colored shoelaces contrasting with the dark wood. Everyone had donated their laces, a total of sixteen, but they needed more. Ava had suggested getting the laces from the other team, but no one knew how to convince them. Noah's leaf rope worked somewhat well, but it required way more leaves and way more time than they had.
"What if we just hold the pieces together while we float to the other side? Right, heh?" Ava suggested jokingly, with not even a chuckle in response.
"Wait a minute, wait a minute, are those cattails?" Gwen suddenly spoke up and ran to the shore's edge, where a few patches of cattails stood.
"What's so special about that? We have bigger fish to fry." Hazel complained.
"No, no, no, you don't understand, we can use this to make rope!" Gwen exclaimed.
"Actually? How?" Parker asked, examining the plant.
"We just need to soak them and then start braiding. Leave it to me, guys!" Gwen smiled and began harvesting the plants, with Noah and Parker helping.
Once they had collected what seemed like enough to Gwen, they began soaking them. Ava and Matteo soaked them and handed them off to Lou and Gwen, who began braiding the leaves into rope-like strings. Once they were braided, they handed them to Hazel and Finn, who started using them to bind the wood. In under half an hour, they were almost done with their raft.
"This looks impeccable!" Parker exclaimed, taking a look at the group's work.
"Yeah, we just have to hope it floats with all of us on it." Lou reminded them, worried.
"Once we finish, I say we add a few more ropes to make it extra secure," Gwen suggested.
"I think that's a great idea," Ava said with a smile, any fears of losing seeming to have left her mind.
Griff had spent forever searching and hadn't found anything. He felt around in trees, under bushes, and even near some bird nests, but nothing. He was starting to lose hope of finding the idol before anyone else. He began to look further, but stopped when he felt a few taps on the shoulder. He slowly turned around to see his sap-covered brother glaring down at him.
"Is this what you think team leaders do?"
Griff could only smile weakly.
Back at the shore, the group was adding the final chunks of sap onto the wood when Xander stepped through, holding Griff by the collar.
"Found him." Xander only said dryly.
"Where were you?!" Destiny asked.
"Uhh...looking for wood?" Griff said, sounding as believable as a bad liar could.
"If 'wood' means idols," Xander added.
A gasp left the entire team's lips.
"You were looking for the idol? What kind of team leader abandons his post like that?" Zuri yelled at Griff, who only rubbed the back of his neck, clearly embarrassed.
"Whatever, we need to hurry up, the other team is moving their raft to the water," Emma said, causing Xander and Griff to step forward and help carry their raft to the water as well.
Both teams were at the water's edge, praying their raft would out-raft the other team's. The Raccoons thought it best to put the heaviest members on first, to avoid sudden weight increases, while the Foxes thought it smarter to send the lightest on first so the heaviest members would equal it out. Either way, both teams were on their rafts without issue. Emma was the one to kick off their raft into the water, while Parker kicked off his team's raft.
Off they went, the sixteen campers packed onto two rafts that barely seemed to stay afloat. Both made it about halfway without issue. That was until a piece of wood dislodged from the Raccoon's raft. Xander made a scramble to grab it, but almost fell in, so he let it float away. The Foxes' side was equally scared, as the leaf rope Noah made for a few pieces was beginning to tear. Both teams had their strongest members holding the sides together in case anything else broke off.
About three-quarters of the way, the Raccoon's raft began to experience the most issues. The sap they had used came off too easily in water, as evidenced by how easily they could clean their hands. Now, all of the wood was loosening and beginning to float away. Xander managed to snag one while Destiny grabbed another. The team started using them as oars, trying to reach the shore as quickly as possible.
The Foxes' team wasn't as lucky. An entire corner had broken away due to the weak leaf rope, and now Parker was using all his strength to hold the two pieces of wood together, as they couldn't risk building any makeshift oars. All they could do as they floated along was hope the other team didn't make it to the end. Noah was the most anxious, as his rope was the reason they were falling behind. He didn't want to get voted out first! That would look terrible on his resume!
The sap was almost gone, and only a few pieces of wood were remaining for the Raccoon's side. More eyes were glaring at Jorge, who collected the sap, while Jorge's eyes were glaring at Ravi, who suggested he collect it. The shore was so close, they could make it. They had to make it.
"We're almost there, guys! Just hang on-" In a loud splash, the raft gave in, and all eight of the Raccoon members came crashing down into the waters of Lake Kikiwaka.
The Foxes were in shock. Did they just win? Noah couldn't help but cheer. The raft floated to the shore, and the team members all got off, dry as a whistle. A few moments later, the Raccoons swam to shore, dripping in water and looking very irritated with some of their teammates.
"Well, that was dramatic! But in the end, the Ferocious Foxes win!" Gladys announced, pausing for the inevitable cheers.
"I will see the Raging Raccoons tonight. Once you've all dried off, I'll see you at the cafeteria, where lunch will be served." Gladys walked off.
The sound of lunch increased the Raccoons' morale ever so slightly, but they couldn't help but feel terrible.
─ ☼ ─
After the Raccoons had showered and dried off, the teams met in the cafeteria, where they were served cold ham sandwiches and potato chips. The teams mainly stayed apart, sitting at different tables across the room. The Foxes were eating and having a lively conversation, while only the sounds of chewing could be heard from the Raccoons' table.
"So, uhh, this lunch is pretty good, right?" Destiny attempted to start a conversation, but only received a few looks of annoyance.
"Okay, enough of the silence, it's unbearable," Zuri said, setting her sandwich down.
"We're voting someone out tonight, not killing them; we can at least talk." She continued.
"What do you want to talk about, hm? About how Griff hid away to find an idol, and may have one right now? Or how Jorge brought all that sap just for it to be useless? Or how...uhh...how..." Emma failed to come up with any more grievances, but Jorge didn't.
"The only reason I brought that dang sap was that Ravi told me it would be perfect for glue!" Jorge argued.
"The only reason I thought it would be perfect for glue was that Xander told me it would, but I knew it wouldn't!" Ravi argued.
"So you knew and chose to say nothing?" Griff asked, hoping to redirect any heat toward himself.
"Oh, don't you even pretend you have a word in this, Griff!" Destiny sent all the heat directly at him.
"Okay, so I looked for an idol, but that doesn't mean I have one!" Griff argued.
"Prove it," Tiffany spoke up from next to him, slightly startling him.
"I...uhh...well," He began.
"Well, what?" Tiffany probed.
"I can't really prove I didn't find one, you should know that," Griff said, pleading his case.
"So you do have one?" Tiffany leaned in closer.
"What?! No!" Griff was overwhelmed.
Seeing this, Tiffany stopped questioning him and went back to her food, as did everyone else. Once they were done, they all left the cafeteria and dispersed into smaller groups. It was bound to happen eventually.
─ ☼ ─
After dinner, the Raccoons made their way to the bright campfire, where Gladys stood, smiling widely, sending a chill down the group's spines.
"Welcome, Raging Raccoons, to the first-ever elimination ceremony." She smiled at the nearest camera for a moment before continuing.
"This is how it works: each of you will go into that small shed," Gladys pointed past the campfire and to a small fishing shed near the edge of the woods. "Once inside, you will tell the camera who you're voting for and why. Then you will take a seat and hope you're not leaving." She finished with a laugh.
The group began voting one by one, and after roughly ten minutes, everyone was back at their seats around the campfire. Gladys pulled out a tray, and on it were seven marshmallows. She looked at the group of confused campers and smiled before explaining.
"There are seven marshmallows, which I'm sure you noticed, and only eight of you. If I call your name, that means you're safe, you will collect your marshmallow, and stand off to the side." She nodded to the campers, making sure they understood, before announcing the safe campers.
"Emma, Destiny, Xander." She called, and they grabbed their marshmallows, all relieved.
"Zuri, Tiffany." The girls practically ran to grab their marshmallows.
"Ravi." He tumbled out of his seat and collected his marshmallow, now standing with the others.
Now only Jorge and Griff sat waiting. Jorge looked worried, while Griff showed no emotion whatsoever. Gladys looked between the two of them before announcing.
"The final marshmallow goes to..."
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
...
"Jorge."
He ran up to grab the marshmallow, sighing heavily as he stood with the rest of his team.
Griff looked at the team, exhaling sharply as he stood up, following Gladys to the same clearing he came through, where the boat director stood waiting. He turned around to wave to the others, who waved back, sad smiles on their faces. Then he was out of view.
"Congrats on surviving the first elimination ceremony. Let's hope you don't come back here." Gladys concluded the event with a concerning smile before turning away and leaving with the camera crew.
Voting Confessionals:
"I'm voting Griff because it's like, totally not cool to just ditch us and expect us to be fine with it!" Emma explained to the camera.
"I'm voting for Jorge because if it wasn't for him, we might have found a better way to keep our raft together. Yeah, Griff may not have been there to help, but I think he's smarter than Jorge. No offense." Destiny ended in a weak smile.
"I'm voting Griff for two reasons. One: he shouldn't have just run off without warning like that. And two: he shouldn't have been here in the first place. I told Mom to keep an eye on him." Xander finished with an annoyed sigh.
"I'm voting for Griff because who does he think he is, looking for idols before we even lost?! Almost as if he was prepared to lose. I don't need that negative mindset around here!" Zuri exclaimed.
"My vote is for Griff because I don't think it's fair that he should make it through without participating. Also, he is statistically a lot more likely to find the idol in the future now that he has cleared a large portion of the woods." Tiffany decided.
"I think I'm going to vote for Griff, because it's what everyone else is doing. I personally would pick Jorge for his attempt at throwing me under the bus, but tonight my vote is for Griff." Ravi clarified.
"I'm voting for Ravi because I think if I get any votes tonight, it will be his fault. I brought that dumb sap because he said so! How is it my fault?!" Jorge huffed.
"I guess I'll vote for Jorge because he's the only one who might be voted off other than me. But I doubt my vote will affect this." Griff lamented.
Vote Count:
Griff: 5 Votes (Emma, Xander, Zuri, Tiffany, and Ravi)
Jorge: 2 Votes (Destiny, Griff)
Ravi: 1 Vote (Jorge)
Raging Raccoons: Jorge, Ravi, Destiny, Emma, Tiffany, Zuri, Xander
Ferocious Foxes: Matteo, Gwen, Finn, Parker, Noah, Hazel, Lou, Ava
Elimination Order: Griff
