Chapter Text
Marinette was so haunted by the things that have been going on. She eventually breaks and tells Chat Noir about Adrien’s dad. Not being able to take the heart break of the fact that his dad was a villain, Chat Noir renounces his miraculous saying,
“I can’t do this anymore. I never wanted to keep my identity a secret in the first place from you. I want to forget. Forget my dad died. Forget that my dad willingly chose to die to be with his wife than his own son.”
Marinette had been in shock since the moment he took off his ring. It felt as if her world came crashing down around her. Her grip around his- the cat miraculous tightened. She swings away to somewhere no one else can reach her. The Eiffel Tower. She sits on the ledge and plays with the ring as she thinks about all the times chat noir talked about his life, and how he felt trapped in his own home and the only time he felt free was when he was out here, with her. Working together to conquer the evil that plagues their country.
Marinette's heart broke for him, she didn't want to think about how much pain she put her partner through because of this, because of the secrets.
But now she’s here all alone. She can't lose anything else. She decides with finality that all the miraculous’ must stay with her. She can’t burden anyone else with will happen. She needs the butterfly and peacock miraculous back immediately. She slips the ring onto her finger.
“Plagg… Tikki… unify.” A bright flash surrounds her before everything settles again. She takes a deep breath before jumping to the nearest building.
One by one she’ll collect all the miraculous’ back.

Collecting all of the miraculous’ was hard, telling each person she had granted them to, to give them back was painful. She both pitied and envied her classmates. Her friends.
Pitied them because everything the miraculous gave them (courage, confidence, strength) was being taken away.
Envied them because they get to back out with 0 consequences and still live happy lives.
But she had to deal with this alone.
She still had one person to go to.
Luka.
