This is the first of the multi-chapter fics of this series, and I'll be sharing the first two chapters together, because I think they set things up for this fic nicely.

I'm having a lot of fun with these Flowey POV sections, between how much he's preoccupied with his own sense of boredom, and exaggeratedly performing the segments where he's very clearly lying to himself, and then his own small shock at seeing a human in the underground. He might resist twisting his face into a terrible grin at the end, but I know I voiced it with certain smiling sprites in mind.

One of the things I've been doing with his voice is that, while Asriel's voice would have strongly resembled Toriel and Asgore in cadence, Flowey's spent a lot of (reset) time reinventing himself. And part of that was, at this point or another, befriending (supposedly) everyone in the underground. A lot of chances to have picked up other peoples' cadences! I like to think that his intro in Undertale had a mocking imitation to a kid's show host, talking very saccharine sweetly, and that he usually only uses that when he's being mean.

Intro clips are all going to be from Just Another Day by Oingo Boingo again, because we are very much still in the resets, roughly following off from the end of Theoretical Battle Scenarios! I'll be changing up which section of the song with each chapter, though, as certain lines seemed very relevant to different parts of the fic to me. This one's the chorus, to emphasize how Flowey, too, is feeling the blurring boredom of the days dragging on.

Outro clips, though, are from Push Back the Hands of Time by They Might Be Giants. Partly because I really wanted to include the clip about "rosey fingers" in this chapter, after Flowey compared how this human looks to how Chara looked (cheeks less rosey).
