“Commander Coleman!” said McGee, then corrected, “Sorry, Captain Coleman. Congratulations, and to what do we owe the pleasure?”
The JAG officer frowned. “I’m here on business, Agent McGee, not pleasure.”
He stifled a smile. “Of course.”
“I prefer to deliver these updates in person,” she continued. “The final appeal for the Lambert case was concluded today.”
“Oh, wow,” breathed McGee. “That was a tough case. And a long time ago. I was only a probie.”
“The appeals process can be lengthy,” said Coleman. “But the case is now officially closed.”
“Thanks for letting me know, captain.”
She nodded. “Of course.”
