Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Boss leaned against his motorcycle, the weight of the engine vibrating beneath him. The street hummed with the usual city noise, but none of it mattered. He was lost in thought, as he often was, until a sudden burst of laughter cut through the air.

He glanced up—and froze. There, standing a few feet away, was a stunning Omega. His laughter was light, infectious, carrying a warmth that made everything around him fade. In his hands, he clutched a bouquet of flowers—someone’s gift, probably—but the way he held them, with casual confidence and a hint of mischief in his eyes, made Boss’s chest tighten.

Their eyes met, and in that instant, the world seemed to pause. That gaze—sharp, unapologetic, fearless—hit Boss like a punch to the gut. Heat pooled in his chest, and his hands itched at his sides, gripping the cool metal of his bike as panic fluttered in his stomach. He wasn’t usually caught off guard. He wasn’t supposed to feel… this.

And then the Omega started walking toward him. Slow, deliberate steps, each one pulling Boss deeper into a current he didn’t know how to resist. His mind raced—who was this? What was happening? Why did it feel like every nerve in his body was suddenly alive?

Finally, the Omega stopped just a few feet away. The air between them was thick, charged with something Boss couldn’t name but could feel in every pulse. And then, with a smile that made his chest tighten and his mind stutter, the Omega said:

“I like you. Will you be my boyfriend?”

Boss froze. The words hung in the air like a spark over dry tinder. Panic surged, but it wasn’t the kind of panic he knew—this was thrilling, disorienting, and completely consuming. His heart raced, his mind scrambled for something, anything, to say.

He didn’t move. He didn’t speak. He just stared, unable to look away, unable to deny the sudden pull toward this bold, fearless Omega. And in that charged silence, Boss realized something undeniable: he wanted him.

The Omega reached out, holding the bouquet toward him. His fingers brushed against Boss’s just for a moment, and the contact sent a shock through him, making his chest tighten and his knees feel suddenly weaker.

“I like you,” the Omega said again, his voice soft but unwavering. “Think about it… and tell me the answer tomorrow. I’ll be here.”

Boss swallowed hard, words caught somewhere between his racing thoughts and the tightness in his throat. The Omega’s eyes sparkled, and then, with a teasing tilt of his head, he added casually, almost as if he hadn’t just turned Boss’s world upside down:

“By the way… I’m Noeul. Yours?”

Boss’s mind froze. “I… I’m… Boss,” he managed to stammer, the syllables sounding ridiculous even to him. His voice cracked slightly, betraying the storm of heat and panic building inside him.

Noeul’s smile widened, as if he knew exactly the effect he was having. He turned lightly on his heel, giving Boss just enough space to breathe—or panic—before walking a few steps away, leaving the bouquet in Boss’s hands. The scent of the flowers mingled with the faint warmth of Noeul’s presence, lingering in Boss’s mind long after the Omega had paused and looked back, waiting, expectant.

Boss gripped the bouquet tighter, the petals brushing against his fingers, and tried to steady his racing heart. He was an Alpha—he wasn’t supposed to feel this way, not this quickly, not this… consumed. And yet, as he stared at the retreating figure of Noeul, he knew one thing for certain: he couldn’t ignore him.

Tomorrow, Boss realized, everything could change.
