"I mean he looked normal?? How would I know he was a- a ghost??"

And here I stood, the second(?) time.
A man in a fresh shiny suit standing up the small stage in front, talking with a microphone looking around briefly, surveying the new recruits.

I could hear the murmured conversations of the new employees around me, but I don't really care enough to focus on that.
I scan the entire place, searching for the familiar faces I knew.
