Chapter Text
While various iterations of the following document have been published and researched all across our continent of Zenith, it is to my belief that there is an inherent value in finally publishing the original version as unedited as possible for the sake of its own historical value.
While it is undeniable that time and experience have changed many of the views once present in this treatise, and that the empirical observations of almost 2 centuries ago are bound to be disproved and challenged by time, the following document represents more than just an academic analysis of the geography of our lands and the biology of its inhabitants.
These remaining thoughts and commentary are perhaps our best reference on the people who actively fought and lived in the Age of Liberation and who helped shape the future we now enjoy.
To try and remove character and personality from these documents for years has been a grave mistake, as it is precisely in the nature of this treatise as both personal journal and analytical research that we can experience, even if for a brief instance, the life of a man who saw peace and unity where so many of our ancestors saw difference.
It is with the utmost joy and respect that I present to all of you who might find yourselves reading this, the “Annotations on Zenith and its inhabitants” as it should have always been published.
