This time, she goes to find Carmilla Carmine before Vox can get to her. She makes her own offer - she can hide her daughters in Heaven, away from Hell, away from Vox. Carmilla agrees, and this time Vox builds the weapon himself. He is not an unskilled engineer, but he is not a weaponsmith. The resulting destruction covers half of the Pentagram.
This time, she doesn't try to force Angel towards redemption. She watches as Vox, a delighted grin on his flat face, shares what he'd been doing to Angel for months now. She watches Angel break.
This time, Abel doesn't find his courage. Charlie can't leave her place in front of the Might of Lilith - she and Emily form the base, without them the spell will fracture - and so she watches as Lute rams her sword through Vaggie’s chest. Tears run down her face but she can't move. She can't move. The moment the Might of Lilith is no more she is drawing her trident on Lute and - and -
This time, she asks if Vaggie wants to stay in. Yes, all day. Just one day. Nothing else is more important than Vaggie is.
