Chapter Text
t's been a while since BFDI last aired, without contestants to compete there didn't seem to be much of a point. After One's chaos there remained only two.
In the empty halls of the hotel
Two’s ears rang. The sound of the floorboards creaking underneath their feet brought a strange discomfort. They knocked on the door. “X…? Are you there?” Two asked, standing through the long silence before X responded by opening the door. “Hi two.” They looked tired. Two was also tired, neither of them had slept very well since the time based shenanigans, when things started getting serious “I can't sleep, I was just wondering if you were also awake” Two said, fidgeting with the surface of the blanket around their shoulders. They felt weird around X ever since the others had died. Two didn’t know how to feel about the fact that he was the only other one left as far as they knew. “Well…I'm awake.” was all X said “Can i come in?” Two asked. X stepped aside letting Two through the door. Two walked across the room sitting next to the window, its closest to where X usually was. Especially at night Two knew why. Just didn't know how to address it. The two of them looked at the moon. “Do you think he knows we’re alive?” X asked, not taking their eyes off the moon. Two did not respond. They didn’t want to talk about Four.
They didn't want to talk at all but it was better than being alone in their room with their thoughts. “You still have powers, could you not-” “You think i haven't tried!?” X interrupted. Two just sank further into the floor.”I'm sorry…” They mumbled “Maybe if you could have gotten off your lazy ass, four wouldn't have taken your power and we’d be able to get them back!” X had been more irritable ever since Four was locked away. Two couldn't blame them it's not like they didn't have any negative changes from the disappearance of…Gaty
…
Two brought their knees up to their chest. “I know, I'm sorry” was all they managed to say.
X sighed, leaning against the wall, their face softening. “I shouldn't be so mean, I'm sorry. It's not your fault.” X always said this. Two knew they didn’t mean it but they never seemed to try to be nicer.
The hotel is cold. Two didn't have the energy to fix it so they just got used to it.
They sighed quietly, As X sat down on their bed knowing they had no intention of sleeping.
Two stared at the floor before burying their head in their knees. Two kept their eyes shut, the darkness was nice.
Two wished it could be this dark forever. Pure nothingness forever was all they wanted. Is that what Gaty felt? Nothing? Two wished they knew. They’d do anything for her to be able to tell them. Two were sure they’d see her again, no matter what Somehow.one way or another they’d see Gaty again. “I'm going to sleep now” X said, breaking Two out of their thoughts “Oh yeah right, sorry.” Two replied Standing up on their shaky legs “Night…” Two added walking out the door
Two climbed into their bed pulling the blanket around them. They rolled onto their back taking a few minutes to stare at the roof. A few years back Two did nothing but this. Stare at the roof, never leave bed, Two wished they could go back to that sometimes, Gaty still isn’t back and things have only gotten worse since then so why get up in the morning.
Two rolled back onto their side. They blinked the fresh tears out of their eyes, letting them fall down their face and disappear into the fabric of their bedsheets. Lying on their back makes them think too much. There was no point in self pity, love or care nothing is getting better everything is as bad as it could be. At Least it can't get worse
