Work Text:
You were bold on the frontier, but a little shy when we were alone.
It was in those private moments that your mask made of ice fell off. And then you showed me a different kind of passion than we heard from you at the Convention.
I will not be indiscreet and reveal what I saw in the depths of your soul, my proud Angel, but I felt your love as strong and terrifying as a storm in the summer sky.
Pleased to be the one who heard you laugh, I cast my fears aside for once and allowed myself to breathe freely again.
You fueled my visions with your fire. Your sword in flames and my will to never yield, that is our legacy, my dear.
And our republic is our last will.
