Grian slammed the front door shut as she got home. Scar, fearing for his everloving life (and rightfully so), carefully tiptoed around the corner, but before he could ask what was wrong, Grian broke down on the floor crying. Scar sat down next to her, gently letting a very irritated Nova down so she could do whatever a three year old thinks is important. "Hey, G, what's wro-" he managed to get out before Grian interrupted him: "Remember how I changed names?"

"Um… yeah, your deadname's Arianna, right? But you felt more like Grian, so you switched it even though you aren't trans." Scar knew he was right, he'd known her since middle school. For whatever reason, maybe the mention of her deadname, this made Grian sob harder.

"Y- yeah, but I- I think I was wrong I- would you-" she tries to talk through her tears, "you wouldn't- divorce- if-" Scar interrupted, "What? Grian, I would never! I love you!" He put his hands on her face before continuing, "What are you talking about? What- What happened?"

Grian slowed her breathing for a bit and then explained: "Scar I- I think I am trans."

Scar paused. "Ah- What? You… Oh. Oh. Grian, do you remember when I first met you? And I thought you were a guy?" Grian laughed, they had had short hair, and wore a binder a lot of the time. Scar continued, "I still loved you. Still thought about what our wedding would be like, even when I'd assumed you'd be the one wearing a suit. Still thought about what our children would look like when I thought we'd have to adopt. I could cut your hair, and let's see if your old binder still fits. I think it might~" Scar teased. Grian had never had a lot of volume, and they seemed to be flatter now that the rest of them had grown so much, but that comment did earn a playful slap.

"Scar, I can't wear a binder, remember?" Grian shook their head, "Not until Jacoby can eat actual food."

Scar pretended to get offended and responded, "But Jacoby doesn't even really exist yet! And we can feed him formula!" Grian laughed, "Scar, you really don't know how this works, do you? Of course he exists, we have his 3D ultrasound hanging on the fridge. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not real." Scar decided to annoy his wife- husband, I guess- just a little more. "Of course it does! I can't see dragons, and they aren't real!" Grian rolled his eyes. "Scar, turn off the lights." He did. "Am I still here, hun?" Scar wanted to annoy him just one more time, "Woah, magic voice!" before they both laughed so hard that Nova came to see what was wrong.
