Chapter Text
Idea 1: What if Terry McGinnis was the son of Damian Wayne and (whatever love interest you want to ship him with)? Like Damian revitalized the League of Assassins to be about conservation but without all the terrorism and murder. Terry would have been raised in The League and thought to fight but not in an abusive way like Damian or Talia. Something would have come up and Damian would have sent Terry to go live with his Grandfather in Gotham City for a while until everything blew over and it was safe.
Idea 2: Doctor Bruce Wayne-General Medicine/ Old people doctor(for Alfred)--He was older when he became Batman and took in 8-year-old Robin
Idea 3: What if. Dick Grayson was a metahuman and had ice powers similar to Elsa (or plant powers like Poison Ivy). Like he chooses to be powerless as Robin but uses his powers as Dick Grayson
Idea 4: What if. The Bats find out Tim is a fanfiction writer and has written Batman fanfiction about them and himself while he's a vigilante (Also x reader fanfiction)
Idea 5: Birthday fic. Dick turns like 27 and Bruce gives him adoption papers. Dick is upset and explodes saying that it was insensitive that he was saying that he's not really a part of the family and that if he really cared he would have done it over 15 years ago
Idea 6: Christmas fic
Dick reminds/ forces Bruce out to get the kids Presents for the holidays as well as Alfred-- leaves himself out as he wrongly dosed sees himself as part of the family
Helps Alfred cook and decorate for the Christmas party
Takes each one of the kids out alone to get Bruce and the others Christmas presents but again leaves himself out as he wrongly dosed sees himself as part of the family
At the party, he leaves all of his presents for Bruce Alfred and the kids under the tree with all the others
Gets a call from Barbara during the party as the kids are passing out the gifts-- he goes to the kitchen to talk-- and get away from the party. Would have found another excuse to get away from not for the call.
Talks with Barbra about Christmas with her dad and he starts to prepare and warm up the food alone as again
He doesn't see himself as part of the family despite the fact that he was adopted first
The kids finally notice Dick isn't there as well as that he had no presents under the tree, everyone else did even Bruce and Alfred, and each kid attending has something but not him.
Dick sets the table for food/ dinner and calls everyone in to eat.
There is no good chance to confront him as Bruce being oblivious hasn't noticed anything amiss. After dinner, they all split up as Dick and Alfred cleaned up.
Alfred says nothing why? No one knows.
One of the kids confronts Dick but he sidesteps the questions and says it's all fine
Finally at the end, all the kids band together and confront Dick again where all his feelings of inadequacy come to light
Other notes to include
-Make Dick significantly older than Jason like 12 yrs or so
- Dick never felt like a son because he and Bruce were close in age like 11 years
- He was a pseudo-parent to all the rest of the kids
Idea 7: School Assignment. Duke and Damian are talking about an assignment that Damian has to do for a class where he has to write about his family. Like his parents and siblings and the things they do. Damian being Damiacan really only think about vigilante stuff at first and is struggling. Duke talks about it with him and Jason walks in/ overhears the conversation and tries to help in his own way. As they get to talking about Bruce and what a father is supposed to do vs what he has done they realize, Jason especially, that Dick has been the one that has acted like a father to all of them. Not to say that Bruce is a bad or abusive father but that for all of their emotional needs Dick has been the one they all go to when they’re in distress. Maybe add in that Alfred was an enabler in this situation.
Idea 8:
Dick is 12 years older than Jason
He delivered Tim and id ~14 years older than him
He knows Tim well as the stalker who has been taking pictures of them (Has put a tracking device on Tim-he(Tim) knows- to keep track of him
Idea 9:
Omegaverse fic
Slade(alpha) still happened to Dick(omega) when he was 13/14
Slade got him pregnant but Dick had an abortion- (Maybe told Bruce at a later date, but no one else knows)
Dick is talking to Stephanie(any dynamic), in the beginning, while she got pregnant by her ex (Batman: No Man's Land)
They are talking about stuff, and Stephanie confides in Dick that she is unsure of what to do. She knows Tim already told Dick that she was pregnant and she doesn’t know what she should do.
Dick tells her about his own experience when he was her age and how he decided to have an abortion, it was the right decision for him because of how Slade abused and raped him but that may not necessarily be what’s best for her. She has options; she could get an abortion, she could have the baby and keep it herself it give it up for adoption
The story could follow canon where Stephanie does ultimately give up her child because of her father or another way
Idea 10:
Dick comes home and finds Jason. Learns that Bruce is or has adopted him while Dick is still his ward. Dick gets mad and throws glasses at Bruce while accusing him of never really caring about him, knowing / hearing Bruce say that taking him in was a mistake and that he wouldn't have done it again. That Bruce asked when he was 8 if he wanted to be adopted when his parents had just died and then never again after. What if Alfred had done that to you.
Dick accuses him of being racist and saying that he Bruce would never adopt a brown kid since Jason is white. Saying that Bruce doesn't or never cared since hes giving Jason everything that used to be his. Storming out and saying that he never wants to hear from him again and from now on they're just former mentor and student nothing more.
