Izuku was having a good day. Nothing could stop him from enjoying it. Not the cold and empty house he woke up in. Not the empty fridge that mom had forgotten to stock up. Not the bullies that tried to trip him. Not the usual spider lilies on his desk. Not the disapproving gazes of his teachers. Not even that it was his birthday and all he got was a fist in the face and gut for it.
