Summary
It was supposed to be another normal adventure for Scrooge McDuck and his family. They'd faced many dangers and survived! There was no beast or curse or adversary that could stop them from winning at the end of the day. At least... that's what they had thought, until that one fateful adventure.
When Scrooge and Donald are separated from the rest of the family during their adventure, they don't realize the amount of danger they're in. Not until it's too late.

Scrooge and Donald have to go on a mission with just the two of them, if just to keep Scrooge from going by himself. Donald hates a majority of it. The two of them face the freezing cold and are faced with images of their past, and must choose between their stubbornness and life or death.

Summary
Some of the Ducklings are drafted by Scrooge to clean up his old archive room. While there, they discover an old article about a Mysterious Phantom Thief and learn of when the thief and Scrooge's paths first crossed.
Meanwhile, Gladstone had an epiphany about his life, and wanted to do something nice for Donald by giving him something he won from the State Lottery; an old abandoned property called, Villa Rosa.
