Through his numerous past lives, Solane has loved his fierce and brooding friend, Dys, multiple times and his doggy-eared cocksure pal, Rex, memorably (and riotously) once. But in this loop, Solane designs to drag the two of them together for, at least, an afternoon. Which Solane conspires to fill with untested drugs, some harmless flirting, and (luck permitting) their naked bodies sprawled and frolicking over the fuzzy, pollen-filled knolls of Vertumna IV’s Valley of Vertigo.

The problem is that Resolve is…well, she's boring! She doesn't like sportsball, or running around, or roughhousing. She likes to sit quietly and play dolls, or read books — proper chapter books that are meant to be for older kids.
She's nice, at least, although she's not the same type of nice as Tammy. Tammy's sensitive, cries easily. Resolve…she can tell Resolve gets mad. She can see her fists clench and a muscle jump in her jaw and she thinks yes, you're just like me, come on and prove it.
