When you're a Parselmouth, why wouldn't you want a pet snake to talk to? Here's a collection of favourite Harry Potter fics where Harry gets a pet snake of some variety to chat with. The snake may be a central feature of the story, or may be a background element that appears for only part of a story or series but is still notable and entertaining.

This fic collection is open and moderated, which means that anyone is welcome to submit fics for inclusion in the collection, but that submission must be approved by a moderator before fics will appear in the list.
All fics must include Harry Potter getting a pet snake of some variety, at some point in the story/series.
Fics should be of good quality and entertaining.
Crossovers are welcome.
