As the sun dipped low in the sky, painting the world in a warm glow, Henry found himself unable to look away from the way the light danced in Ralph's blue eyes. It was a moment that seemed to stretch on forever, until a bird's sudden squawk broke the spell.
It was then, in the quiet between their laughter, that Henry felt it. A strange warmth spread through his chest when Ralph's hand accidentally brushed against his own. He pulled away, a blush staining his cheeks, and stumbled over his words as he tried to recover from the unexpected jolt of... something.
Ralph noticed the shift in Henry's demeanor, the way he seemed to hover around him like a moth to a flame. But he shrugged it off, attributing it to the excitement of their latest prank. Little did he know that the game he had played for years was about to change in ways he couldn't even begin to imagine.
