Summary
What if Edward and Jacob met earlier due to an accident while hunting? And what if Edward wasn't fully human and is now a new type of vampire? What if he went by "Eddie" and had a chance to heal from some trauma that I've given him? As a treat.
Y'all, this has been stuck in my mind for years and isn't finished. I'll post as I wish, but good luck. This is both the bane of my existence and a comfort story. (Also, Eddie is getting some love forced into him - either by the plot or by Jacob)

Everything is a blur of green. An overwhelming dose of nature, what reality was for Jacob. His life had been the leaves on branches, or the moon at night. The reason for his existence was guided by the Earth's turning, the smother of his senses that prodded against the stem of his brain. It was easy to ignore, how he could smell exactly what areas of his route had been searched. The lush surrounding was smeared with his scent, and it had been nearly suffocating for the wolf.
