Summary
To most, the wind was unpredictable. Sometimes, it was an ally, letting sailors go by without so much as a complaint. Other times, though, it was dangerous. It destroyed towns, it destroyed homes.
It tore apart families, leaving those left behind mourning.
It really just depended on how the Wind Gods felt that day. They, or more specifically, Cyclos, didn't care for their pleas.
There's an important part to the first sentence. "To most". This boy, the young Wind Waker, Hero of Winds; the Gods favored him, one could say. And so, he didn't fear the wind. The wind protected him, after all. It was his guardian.

Summary
The path of the club is clear, and it moves fast enough that Wind has only just begun to step back when the world shifts and he’s weightless.
Panic fills him momentarily before a combination of previous experiences and blinding pain overwrites it. His legs kick at nothing before they fold up to prepare for an incoming landing, even as his flank burns, sharpness of impact and adrenaline dulled pricks of open wounds. Wind has been sent flying countless times, but he’s not landing as he’s expecting, and as his vision clears, he sees the edge of the cliffside shoot up his field of vision and past his reach in an instant.
OR
A whump comfort fic about Wind facing the fallout of a crazy fall alone, until he doesn't have to anymore.

Really the others were completely overreacting. That moblin hadn’t even clubbed him that hard and his arm hadn’t even bent that much. He just had extra bendy limbs was all, because he was young and flexible and not a fossil like the rest of them, and head wounds always bleed a lot so it wasn’t really fair to judge from that.
Or-
Warriors wants Wind to rest, Wind just wants to pet cows, and Time is just here to be a menace

“Wind likes Time a lot,” Twilight murmured, dipping his tunic back in the water as he scrubbed at a small stain that refused to cooperate.
“Oh? Jealous, I see?” Legend raised an eyebrow, a smirk on his face.
“No!” Twilight raised his hands in surrender. “‘Course not. It’s just…”
“Strange.”
“Yeah.” Twilight rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, before realizing it was wet and groaned. “After Wind figured out tha whole..timeline thing-y, he’s been real close wit’ th’ old man.”

Wind, being the brilliant hero that he is, gets a lot of ideas. These ideas however, tend to vary wildly in safety, sanity, and sense. This one was in a different outfit than they had one when they last faced them, this time in a blue shirt and orange pants instead of the green tunic and hat that they had on before, but it was still most definitely the same one. The same blonde hair, the same peg-leg, and the same damn sword. If the creature was able to smile, it would have, as they had found their prey.
Oh what sweet revenge this would be.
