“I didn't have a law school interview today. I had an appointment.”
“Okay.” It wasn’t nearly as important as an interview, sure, but Dean didn’t know why that was something to hide.
Dean wasn't looking at Sam, but he could still feel Sam staring. When Dean finally did look over at Sam, he had the impatient look of a teacher waiting for the lesson to finally click. There was something Dean was supposed to figure out here, but for the life of him, he didn’t know what it was. So Sam had an appointment? So what?
Eventually Sam sighed. “I had an appointment at Planned Parenthood.”
Dean knew which parts Sam had, but there were some things he tried to forget. Everything was just so, so much easier if he didn’t think about how Sam could get pregnant.
No, not could get pregnant. Sam was pregnant, with his dead girlfriend's baby, and from the look in Sam’s eyes, he was not scheduling another appointment.

Summary
Dean had left the package of panties lying out on the dresser. Now they were next to Dad. Not only that, Dad had taken out a pair and set it in his lap. He stared right through them.
Dean left them out. It was his own fault. Out of everyone in the world who could have found out, it was the one person who mattered.
Dean had thought a million times about what to do if he was caught. Mostly, he imagined it to motivate himself to keep it all hidden. No matter which scenario he ran in his head or what Dean did, the outcome was never pretty. The real solution, as far as Dean was concerned, was to never let anyone know at all. It was too late for that now.
Dean didn’t think about what to say. The words fell out automatically. “I’m sorry, sir. It won’t happen again.”
Dad didn’t respond. Instead, his eyes stayed fixed on his lap. It was like he'd never seen a pair of panties before. Several moments passed in silence, before finally, his face settled into a slight smile. “We’re more alike than I thought,” he said softly. He still didn’t look up.

“I don’t want to see him again,” he says, hoping that leading with the part he knows Ted probably won’t have an issue with might make the next bit less difficult, “and I know you didn’t say that I should, but I also don’t… I tried, and I don’t want to forgive him neither. And that one you did say I should do, and I know you said it was for me and not for him, but it still feels like- like saying nothing he did mattered."
Jamie takes Ted's advice to heart - he forgives. Or he tries to. But it doesn't make things better. It doesn't free him from anything, and the text he sent his father makes everything so much worse, even though it hasn't been answered yet. When Jamie reaches his breaking point, he goes through a series of three conversations, seeking help determining whether something is wrong with him, whether it's okay to not forgive, and whether it's okay to decide that he's done trying.
