Summary
The spring was Shane’s favorite season. The sun was warm yet the breeze held a slight chill from the winter recently passed on. The flowers that began to bloom from the ground richly soaked by rain were the most vibrant.
It was on a lush spring day that his life ended.
His heart may have continued to beat even after the brutish savages descended upon their home, but his life as he knew it had truly ended.

Shane is the son of his village's leader, but when a group of brutish invaders threated to kill everyone he loves, Shane is forced to make a tough decision. His decision leads him to the harsh, cold court of Imperial Russia. He is left trying to survive as a political hostage as the Russian prince who is responsible for his capture can't seem to leave him alone.
Ilya has never met someone like Shane. So innocent and open. The boy wears his heart on his sleeve, despite trying to hide it. The prince had never seen someone so pure and knew he had to have Shane. Getting Shane to open up and let Ilya shower him in affection seems to be more difficult than expected.
It isn't until a spark sets off a catalyst of events in the Russian Palace that change their relationship forever.

Shane's injury is worse. Almost the worst it can be, and he feels like his world is crashing down around him. Is his career over? Will he get better? Shane is scared, confused, and in pain, and he all he wants is Ilya.
