Kaoru startles awake, his heart hammering against his ribcage and his chest heaving as he gradually becomes aware of his surroundings. It was just a dream. He is in Kojiro’s bed, with Kojiro sleeping soundly next to him. He’s safe. Everything’s okay.Except that it’s not okay. The timing couldn’t be worse. Because Kaoru never stays over— he’s always quick to leave after he and Kojiro have sex— and now he’s disorientated and distressed and he’s in Kojiro’s bed.
