That goes into deeper feelings. Dazai is a mess and Chuuya has to fix him. In the process Dazai catches himself having not so wanted - wierd feelings.

“Do you know what type of flowers I can find that are calming and beautiful with a nice smell?” the man said breaking the silence making Chuuya still but then the man turned to him expectantly making Chuuya swallow hard. “Yeah of course follow me this way-?” Chuuya said dryly, walking towards the flowers before pausing.
“Dazai,” the man said. “My name is Dazai Osamu,” Dazai says softly with a gentle look in his eyes before it turns mischievous. “And who is the little gremlin in front of me-?” Dazai said, making an emphasis on Chuuya’s height making him immediately groan internally.

Yet, as he flips through the Electromagnetism notes, the Macbeth script, and the scattered pictures—his focus drifts to his roommate's empty bed.
Chuuya Nakahara is far prettier when he's nerding out than when he's curling his lips at Dazai like an aggressive dog.
