Chan stays silent, so in fear of making it worse, Minho stays silent too. In his peripheral vision, Chan crosses his arms tight to his chest—the hoodie he’s wearing is drowning him—and stares ahead, focusing right on the horizon.
Minho so badly wants to look at him, so badly wants to scan his face and commit it to memory again—wants to take his cheek in his palm and caress that dimple again, press his thumb into it and make Chan giggle like he used to. But he hasn’t earned that. He doesn’t feel like he deserves to be granted Chan’s beauty right now, he barely deserves to be graced with his presence.
