Summary
This is the 3d part of my series and probably can be read on its own, but the previous parts would be useful for better understanding)
In "Doubts and certainties" Aziraphale and Crowley were trying to get used to their new lives out of clutches of Heaven and Hell. A new Heaven Emissary on Earth arrived, some attempt of revenge from Hell and Heaven were made, Satan and God made some appearances. Questions of trust, self-sacrifice, doubts, self-doubts, fear, purposes and faith had to be answered before the friends could really move on into their new life in that idyllic cottage in South Downs.
In "A Minor Inconvenience" Aziraphale grieved over Crowley's presumed death. But Crowley was kidnapped by Hell and secretely re-made as Rusty, a lowly demon doomed to work forever in one of the deepest offices of Hell. After a reckless escape he came to the bookshop, and Aziraphale had to admit that it was now a very different demon. A way to bring real Crowley back was found eventually, dangerous and nearly impossible. And these events left both the angel and the demon deeply wounded.Now it's time to deal with those wounds
