Summary
"Thanks." Reid's voice was high-pitched and nervous. He started for the bag, then stopped and stood still for a moment. Emily didn't dare look up, but she heard his slow intake of breath, the sound of a decision being made. "You have questions."
Emily blinked, surprised by his willingness. She dragged her eyes up to his face, taking care to avoid looking lower. "I'm...yes, I won't lie, I do. But it's okay if you don't have answers. Or if you don't want to give them."
Reid nodded slowly, considering. He made no move for his bag and he held the stained shirt in front of his torso like a shield. "Ask," he said finally. "I might not answer, but you can ask."
OR; One of Reid's worst fears comes true. He needn't have worried.

Summary
Reid laughed wetly, and Emily’s heart constricted. It wasn’t a real laugh. It sounded like it hurt coming out. “Wouldn’t dream of it. Um. You said that…” He trailed off, and Emily knew he was recalling something in the exacting detail he always did. She smiled despite herself, knowing the exact expression he probably had as he summoned the memory. It fell off her face with his next words. “That if I felt like doing…that to myself, to at least try and call you instead?”
Her vision blurred. She tilted her head back and blinked several times so the tears wouldn’t fall. This wasn’t hers to cry over. “Yes,” she said. “I remember. Reid, do you want to hurt yourself?”

Summary
A small sound came from somewhere outside the bedroom. It calmed her a little because it did sound like something had fallen over, but her hand still drifted to her hip as she stood, to where her holster would have been if it wasn’t eleven in the morning on one of those precious free weekends.
(Hypervigilance. Maybe you need therapy.)
She peered around the corner into Spencer’s kitchenette. There was no serial killer, no stalker, not even a run-of-the-mill robber. Just Spencer bent awkwardly over his sink.
“Morning.”
Spencer jumped and turned. “Oh, hey. Sorry if I woke you. I dropped the spatula on the floor.”
“Of course you did.”
OR; an interlude, in which Garcia is the best friend ever and Emily learns that you can't pour from an empty cup.

Summary
Finally, Morgan pushed his empty carton away and wiped his hands off on his napkin. “Alright, out with it, kid. What’s been going on with you and Prentiss?”
Spencer opened his mouth, then closed it. He thought for a long time about how he could possibly start a conversation like this. How to confess to something like this. When he’d told Emily, the evidence was right in front of her, and she’d already pieced it together. He considered just rolling up his sleeves, but then he pictured Morgan’s expression, startled and then unbearably sad, and heard in his mind the punched-out gasp that would follow the image. He quickly decided against it.
“Spencer?”
It was his first name that did him in.
