Summary
Tears were pouring out from his brother’s face. Never one to find shame in the strong outburst of emotion that cracked through his usually tame demeanor, Choso’s burst soaked through Yuji’s hair and would not let up even as he choked between his breaths.
“You’re alive. There were so many moments that I didn’t know if I would see you again. My little brother…” Choso’s grip strengthens after that. He’s careful not to dig in his nails, but the way his whole body seeks to envelop Yuji in a protective shield was constrictive enough to keep the young teenager in place all on his own.
“I’m so happy you’re alive.”
❤ Even at their lowest, Choso will always be there to comfort his younger brother.

Summary
It was not until Yuji pulled back and placed another pinch of rice between his teeth did the boy lunge forward. The child ignored the utensils provided to tear apart the skewered fish with ravenous fangs. Every other bite included a handful of rice shoved into what little space was left in his mouth. And with his lower set of arms, whatever chopped vegetables remained scattered along the tray were quickly shoveled into the snapping maw on his stomach. When the borderline feral display came to an end, the child acknowledged Yuji’s presence once more, pushing the tray back toward him in a bid for more food while grains of rice stuck to his puffed-up cheeks.
“Alright, alright. I can make more. But you’ll have to be patient while I cook.”
❤ Itadori Yuji, a hermit who lived deep within the mountainous woods, stumbles upon a beaten child in need of aid. Unable to turn a blind eye to the boy's plight, he quickly takes him in to provide and shelter during the harsh winter season to come.

At some point further into the evening after everyone had stuffed themselves full, and the energy slowed to a tolerable level, Megumi had been pulled onto Yuji’s lap, now towering over anyone else seated at the bar. He could feel his boyfriend’s cheek pressed flush against his back.
“I’m glad we’re finally celebrating your birthday together.”
❤ It has been one year since the world fell apart. Slowly but surely, everyone had worked together to see it built back up again to what it used to be, leaving little time to rest or keep track of the days passing by. It isn't until Yuji offers to take him out to dinner one night does Megumi realize how much time had gotten away from him along with a reminder of why he remains by Yuji's side.

“Itadori-kun, how long have you and Sukuna been married?”
A pause.
A moment of silence as the whole world froze for the longest minute of Yuta’s life.
Itadori then blinked, causing Yuta to do the same as the air became awkward to navigate. Yuta thought he may have to repeat himself, but before mustering up the courage to say those words again, Itadori was hacking soda out of his lungs. The first-year reached for his nose, now burning from the liquid that spewed out. The entire display caused his eyes to water and for Yuta to run over to see if Yuji was alright to keep standing lest he passed out in his upperclassman’s arms.
The question wasn’t meant to kill him!

“Say, Sukuna, what do you call a fish with no eyes?”
Ah, a classic.
“Blind.”
“FSHHhhhh… Oh.”
The enthusiasm Yuji had for his not-so-original pun had faded all too fast at the man’s deadpan answer. It wasn’t wrong, but it had completely knocked the wind from Yuji’s sails when paired with the cough the man gave when turning his gaze from him completely.
Kugisaki would have laughed at that joke. Fushiguro would have at least had the decency to tell him it wasn’t funny. Somehow, receiving nothing at all had Yuji feeling worse than before he even opened his mouth.
❤ Kugisaki accidentally signs Yuji up for a contest in which the winner gets to cook with the famous chef, Ryomen Sukuna, on his YouTube channel for all the world to see. The odds weren't supposed to be in Yuji's favor, but now here Yuji was, riding the elevator up to Sukuna's film set to get this daunting collaboration started.

“It seems you two are my only friends.” Yuji whined, chirping loud enough to purposefully gain the larger mer’s attention. As if they understood his words, the small fish swam closer to Yuji, hovering around his hands with the larger of the two rising just above his face.
He’d raise his voice after that, knocking back his head, so his sounds would travel back into the cave.
“The only ones I can talk to.”
Still nothing. Perhaps he could be just a bit louder.
“The only ones who care—”
“What are you going on about?”
❤ Yuji finally realizes that he and Sukuna have been courting for quite some time.
