Summary
After the battle of Three Brothers Rocks, Jake Sulli begs that the Metkayina provide uturu for Spider. Tonowari, surprisingly, agrees. Ronal is far from happy with her mate's decision, but won't disregard his decision (this doesn't mean she won't watch the human boy closely, though).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She wants to know more of this child who straddles two worlds, who looks so alien but seems so very familiar. She wishes to feel how deep and steady his each breath is to determine the strength of his lungs. Wishes to see if his body, despite its short stature, can hold up to the power of the ocean's tide, or if it is weak like that of the Sullis when they'd first arrived. Wishes to see if those dark, strange eyes can see the world, not as a sky person, but as one of the People.

Summary
Tonowari has been meaning to meet Spider personally ever since he'd granted the boy uturu the month before, but in the aftermath of the battle of Three Brothers Rocks, the olo'eyktan found himself far too busy to do so, and thus his intentions to speak with the boy had to be put on hold.
So perhaps its more than coincidence that, now finally with a free moment, the chieftain of the Metkayina found himself presented with the perfect opportunity to finally, truly, meet Spider Socorro.
It doesn't go quite as he expected.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Its a bead."
The admission was little more than a whisper, but Tonowari's sharp ears caught it. He tilted his head, confused.
"A bead?"
Spider's head jerked in a short nod, thin fingers curling around his carving project. He looked as if he was preparing for someone to berate him, for some strange reason.
"I've been working on making a bead for my waytelem. For....For Neteyam."Series

Summary
Spider was used to the...well, bullying. That was the only word that could be used to describe the snide remarks and ugly looks the other teenagers of Awa'atlu sent his way. It wasn't anything he couldn't handle, he'd heard it all before, and the looks Neytiri would send his way sometimes were far more terrifying than anything these Metkayina could offer.
But this? Accusing him of something so downright disgusting? This was too far.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The pair of warriors ran across the walkways, even nearly knocking a startled young fisher into the water at one point in their haste. Tonowari's mind was whirling, trying to follow several trains of thought with little success.
