“I-“, the girl stammered in response, finally realising that her actions were not fit for a noble lady to act, “.. um, I was-”
“The Knight of the Laughing Tree?” Elia butted in, making her rival in love recoil, wondering how her romantic crush’s wife was aware of such an important secret of hers.
“You’re lucky King Aerys didn’t find out,” She speaks, then leaning in further to whisper aside the Stark girl’s ear, “After all, you committed a treasonous action, and we all know what happens to traitors.” Leaving Lyanna to linger with the knowledge of how deadly the consequences to her actions could be.

Lyanna looked abashed at every little word he had said, and Ned could even glimpse the sympathy in Howland’s eyes fading the slightest bit.
“Did you even think of anyone?”
He couldn’t even bare to look her in the eyes. Though he purposely sought after doing that, as to not let Lyanna shy away from the consequences of his actions and the ire of her last remaining older brother.
“Not just us, your family, but Rhaegar’s family—the whole Seven Kingdoms?” He shouted at her. “Did you ever think about the repercussions of your actions?”
