Summary
Peri and Dev talk about Dev's actions
". Dev looked up at his fairy godparent, cheeks red and hot with shame. His crown, weighing heavy on his head, was softly removed by Peri and placed to the side with the up most care as if it still held it's importance. Dev's shoulders slumped with a sigh, as if a great weight has been lifted from them. The purple haired fairy was kneeled down next to the throne the kid sat on in an attempt to get down to his level. He looked at his god kid with the same amount of love he would look at his own child despite the events that had just occured. It made Dev sick.
Peri's eyes were now soft and full of concern. He looked at Dev not with fear or anger, but with a comforting warmth that made the boy’s stomach twist. How could Peri look at him like that after everything he had done? After all the terrible things he had caused? Dev had been so close to causing real harm, not just to the people who tried to stop him, but to Peri himself. That moment when Peri had almost vanished forever, consumed by the magic that had built up inside him, hung over him with a deep shame. "

Summary
Dev finds comfort in being in his father's room. It's the closest he can get to spending time with him, and Peri doesn't quite understand at first.
"
The room made even the most powerful fairy in fairly land feel small, and somewhat chilly. Really, was there a window open somewhere? There was a strong taste of professionalism, an absence of life. It clung to the walls and seeped into the air, an infectious spread like that of cat hair. Even with any new additions, or residents, he feared that this life sucking feeling would never go away. He didn't understand why Dev would willingly come here, or if... he felt it at all? Despite the brutal effect it had on the fairy. His gaze wandered over to Peri again, "where's your dad?" He asked
Dev's fingers hesitated, but fell back into the pattern flawlessly after he responded, "dunno," he half heartedly mustered, "probably fell asleep at his desk again." He considered this for a moment, before adding, "or maybe on the couch."
